19/09/2026: On a recent visit to Bayeux we had dinner in 3 different restaurants on succeding evenings and La Rapiere was far and away the best. The atmosphere and decor, the friendly but professional service, and the delicious food were all top quality. We would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Bayeux.

08/09/2026: I discovered this restaurant about two years ago thanks to a contest my mother won. We were lucky enough to enjoy the free family menu, and it was love at first bite. Since then, it's become one of my favorite places. The service is impeccable and quick, and the owners are absolutely lovely. The galettes are delicious, generously filled, and incredibly tasty, with a wide variety of both savory and sweet options. Today, for my birthday, my sweetheart and I went back. She hadn't been to the restaurant before, and she, too, was immediately charmed. I had a truly wonderful evening there. The owners were absolutely delightful from start to finish. And there's a small detail that might seem trivial, but it really touched me: my sweetheart wanted to put candles on my dessert. They weren't sure they'd have any, so they offered to go get some at the Carrefour next door so I could blow out my candles. They even came over to sing "Happy Birthday" when it was time to serve dessert. It might seem like a small gesture, but for me, it's exactly what makes the difference between a restaurant where you just go to eat and a place where you truly come to have a good time. You can tell the owners aren't just trying to make a profit, but that they genuinely care about giving their customers a wonderful experience and creating something special. And honestly, that really warmed my heart. I highly recommend this place. You'll eat very well, but more importantly, you'll have a wonderful time. ❤️

08/09/2026: I didn't know this restaurant at all, but what an incredible discovery! 🤩 My sweetheart and I went there for his birthday and we had an amazing evening. The service was impeccable, with incredible kindness and attentiveness from beginning to end. Between the main course and dessert, I went to ask the waitress if it would be possible to put a candle on my sweetheart's dessert. She replied, "It's good that you mentioned it, I don't even know if we have any... but if we don't, I'll quickly go buy some at Carrefour." And honestly, I found that absolutely adorable. The fact that she was willing to go buy candles just for us, to make sure the birthday went as planned, is really the kind of thoughtful touch that makes all the difference. ❤️ And let's talk about the galettes: they are huge and absolutely delicious! The crêpes are just as good. I ordered a gourmet tea so I could try a little bit of everything, and honestly, the cookie was delicious, the crepe incredible… even though it's "just" a sweet butter crepe 🤣 No, really, it was both excellent and an unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to the chefs and thank you again for the exceptional service. You greatly contributed to making my sweetheart's birthday truly memorable. 24/08/2026: A dream getaway! While in Deauville, we decided to enjoy a meal at the Côté Royal restaurant in this magnificent Barrière hotel! The service was impeccable in a refinedly decorated dining room, and the food was pure bliss! Seasonal and local produce was showcased to perfection! A special mention goes to the Royal's ice cream sundae, where the apple, so famous in Normandy, is presented in a subtle way: crisp, melting… sublime!!!! We will definitely be back, especially since the quality/price ratio is quite reasonable!

22/09/2026: A wonderful discovery! We came by chance on a Wednesday at lunchtime for my husband's birthday. We opted for the set menu at €32 (starter, main course, and dessert). The gizzard salad was very good, but personally, I would have preferred a bit more salad and without cucumber 😀. The sea bass with mashed potatoes and butternut squash (I think), and nasturtium, was very flavorful and refined. My husband had a profiterole with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, which he devoured with relish. As for me, I chose a pavlova (meringue, whipped cream, and mango ice cream), initially by default, but in the end, I was delighted with my choice. We also ordered cider; it's just a shame it wasn't offered in 75cl bottles, only 25cl. Our taste buds were delighted by all the delicious, homemade dishes. The service was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The tables are close together, leaving little room for privacy. The price of the full menu is a bit high, but justified by the quality of the ingredients and dishes. Kudos to the chef! A very good restaurant; we recommend it.

18/09/2026: Simple, efficient, good advice. A menu that isn't overloaded, which is a good sign – "my favorites." Dynamic owner... but where does he find all that energy? I used to go to other places. Since my boyfriend sold the business, I recommend this place.

28/08/2026: I thoroughly enjoyed my overall experience here. The server was attentive yet gave us ample space to take our time, never rushing us. The dishes were beautifully prepared with fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. The menu paired a fairly classic starter and dessert with a playfully reimagined main course. The portions were generous, and two details particularly appealed to me: the indie music playing in the background and the opportunity to watch the chef at work in the kitchen from our table. I highly recommend it.

28/09/2026: C'est formidable! We were in Ouistreham returning to the UK at the end of a great cycle trip from London to Paris. We booked dinner at la table d'hôtes. What a find! Inspired menu, delicious food, superb wine list and fabulous service. Every course had a twist. The tomato starter was delivered as a tomato foam for the cucumber, leeks and goats cheese, the beef had pockets of meaux mustard adding bursts of flavour and the chocolate was served with a blueberry centre. This is a genius at work! Thank you to the Sylvie, Sophie, Yoann and the team. Recommend phoning to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
