15/04/2026: We stayed in a standard room for €72. It was adequate, with a kettle, tea, coffee, and sugar. The TV screen was a good size. Reception hours were limited, hence the 3 stars for service. I'd like to respond to your reply. Sophie and I stayed on Saturday, April 11th, on the 2nd floor. Please don't spread misinformation when our experience was quite positive.

17/03/2026: A small, convenient, family-run hotel with good rates. The beds are comfortable, the staff welcoming, and the breakfast buffet perfectly adequate. However, the rooms are quite noisy, especially the doors, so be prepared to wake up early! The restaurant is quite good, with very reasonable prices.

17/09/2025: A great place to stop for lunch after visiting the market. Between us, we had omelette, mussels, chicken and beef burgers, and we all enjoyed our meals. We sat in the barn, out the back. Prices are very good, about 16 Euros each without alcoholic drinks. Thoroughly recommended.

30/06/2026: What a disappointment since the establishment was taken over by the manager's daughter. At first, I thought maybe we just needed to give things time to settle down. But we went three times, and the last time was the last straw. We had booked for four adults and one child. When we arrived, the table wasn't even ready. The manager came over and said, referring to the little girl, "Does she need a chair too?" A frankly inappropriate remark, especially with a reservation made in advance. We didn't leave because we were there to celebrate a reunion, but the service was very disappointing. Customer service is nonexistent, except apparently with the regulars at the bar. Otherwise, you really get the feeling you're bothering them. Another negative point: the bill is always a surprise, as the prices aren't clear. I won't be going back. Don't rely solely on good grades: many seem to date back to when the father still ran the establishment.

26/06/2026: We ordered two dishes of shelled mussels and fries, and we barely got 40 to 50 grams of mussels. We asked the waitress if that was normal, and she told us it's three scoops per person once they're shelled, all the shells fitting on one plate. And don't even get me started on the fries! They were stingy with them too. In short, I honestly don't recommend it because these are appetizers that serve you instead of a main course. We had to go eat somewhere else because we were still hungry. What a disgrace!

19/11/2025: We went there on a Wednesday at lunchtime. We had a table on the terrace. It's a simple set menu, but homemade and very good. The place seems to be run by British people. A very warm welcome. The location is very pleasant, right in the center of the village with its white Dordogne stone houses. A great find! After several visits, the food is always just as good and hearty. You should also go for the British atmosphere on holidays and special events! Speaking English is a nice touch. We loved it!

01/03/2026: We dined at this restaurant on the recommendation of a colleague. The setting is very pleasant, and the dish was decent, except for the vegetarian aioli. Reducing the price by €1 compared to the meat or fish versions doesn't seem like good value for money. The chef was very friendly and made sure everyone was served properly, all by himself! Well done! It's a shame the waitress was so cold and formal in her approach, but there was also a very attentive young waiter.

17/02/2026: I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel is poorly maintained; there was no secure lock on the door. The water barely worked, and the price was ridiculously high for just one night. Definitely not worth it. Furthermore, I was overcharged for breakfast, which included a truly awful croissant.

17/05/2026: A very good experience at the spa: we were warmly welcomed, the setting is lovely and well-designed for total relaxation. The only slight drawback was the changing room, which was a bit small!

26/06/2026: Excellent value for money, the pastries are excellent too. I love going there for lunch; the staff are incredibly kind, smiling, and pleasant. It's a real treat, I recommend it a thousand times over.

19/06/2026: Booked a Wonderbox package with breakfast included, plus dinner as an extra. In the mobile home: The entrance mat was dirty, not to mention the mess under the bed and the dust in the bathroom. I expressed my dissatisfaction, but received a surprising response: (If you had gone camping...) "They just throw you a key and tell you to figure it out yourself..." And the restaurant? It's closed; the owner is having her family over this weekend, so it's out of the question. Don't even bother looking around these accommodations; they're so filthy. To top it off, we met the neighboring tenant who had his dirty laundry outside his door. I won't even mention the owner's comments, to whom I left a message expressing my dissatisfaction. We couldn't stay... I should point out that the hotel/restaurant industry has been my profession for 40 years.

07/06/2026: We just had a fantastic weekend there! We highly recommend it! The welcome was very friendly, the accommodation was excellent, and the restaurant had everything homemade – we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back!!

17/05/2026: The overall stay was satisfactory. A minor drawback was the surrounding noise (traffic and neighbors), as well as the lack of a welcome tray with a kettle and some tea/coffee bags, which would have been a real plus. Otherwise, the hotel is very well located and close to the free Henri IV parking lot!

04/05/2026: The hotel was well located – thankfully. We opted for a superior room at €140 per night, with breakfast at €20 to keep with the theme. The room was clean... provided you didn't look too closely at the generously stained carpet. The bathroom, delightfully frozen in time with its candy pink decor, offered the added bonus of peeling tiles in front of the sink. A certain charm, no doubt. The price, however, is firmly rooted in the present... and rather ambitious considering the amenities. As for breakfast, it was adequate but meager; we had to wait until the second day and a buffet to get anything close to what one might expect at this price. On the other hand, dinner at the hotel restaurant was very good with impeccable service. It's a shame the hotel itself doesn't live up to this standard.

10/07/2026: Meal in a beautiful courtyard. The children's menu was a big hit: duck shepherd's pie with a strawberry shortcake and a scoop of ice cream. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

04/07/2026: We had a very good meal in a beautiful setting, but the service needs improvement. We had to ask three times for ice cubes, which finally arrived (four in a glass). The same thing happened with the bread; we had to ask several times. This wasn't the fault of the new waiter who was just starting out, but rather the person who seemed to be the head waitress.

24/07/2026: I didn't eat there, but I stopped by at lunchtime to ask if I could buy a baguette, as all the bakeries nearby had been completely sold out (I had planned to make sandwiches for the boys, but of course, I didn't have any bread!). I received a very warm welcome, and the owner, very generously, gave me a few slices of delicious country bread! So, when you're that kind to a stranger, I imagine that when you're a customer, you're well received and the food is good too. Thank you, madam.

23/07/2026: The setting is indeed very pretty and the location is pleasant, but unfortunately, this isn't enough to compensate for a very disappointing service experience. The service was catastrophic from start to finish: our drinks arrived sporadically (only 2 out of 4 glasses were served), starting with the men rather than the women, which is quite rude. The aperitif glasses were never cleared before the starters were served, and the wait between courses was interminable. The most disappointing aspect was the dessert: after a 45-minute wait, the French toast arrived with a strong taste of dish soap. We pointed this out immediately, but instead of taking our comment seriously, we were told that they had tasted the caramel and that the problem couldn't have come from their kitchen, implying that our experience wasn't credible. This reaction, tinged with bad faith, was as disappointing as the rest of the service. What a shame, because the setting is a real asset. However, the service, the waiting times and the way our comment was received do not make us want to come back.

15/06/2026: The food was scarce, poorly presented, and very expensive. The meat was dry and tough, the seasoning was too strong—it was simply awful.

02/06/2026: Excellent value for money. Nice location. For us, it's always a choice here in Beaumont between Le Jean Bistrot and Chez Claudette. This time, we went with the latter. Had a delicious menu de jour for 16.50 euros for three courses.
