30/03/2026: This was our first time at this restaurant, having come from the Mouscron region of Belgium. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a modern setting, ample parking, and a most welcoming reception. The tasting of the appetizers and main courses demonstrated great professionalism and remarkable quality. The decor and presentation were excellent. The service was worthy of a 5-star establishment; having frequented Michelin-starred restaurants, we found that same level of service here. All four of us shared this opinion: we had a wonderful time and we will definitely return.

06/04/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic Easter weekend at Château de la Motte in Liessies! The Easter menu was simply exceptional: generous, flavorful cuisine with excellent value for money. Special mention goes to the rack of lamb, perfectly paired with a very good red wine. The children's menu is also very well thought out: our daughter loved it! We also spent the night there in a very comfortable family room, with two separate areas and a lovely bathroom. A hearty breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. A warm welcome, impeccable service, and the kind of family atmosphere we love. We completely understand why the establishment is celebrating its 90th anniversary! A must-visit in the Avesnois region — we will definitely be back! 👍

05/04/2026: Excellent place. Beautiful surroundings. We stayed in the guest rooms 300 meters from the castle. No complaints whatsoever, the room was very clean, with a common room where we met some very friendly people from Haute-Savoie with their adorable dog. As for the castle restaurant, everything was very good, a very warm welcome and excellent food. From the owners to the staff, nothing to criticize. Super friendly, very attentive, and caring towards their guests. They are all very down-to-earth and welcoming. I highly recommend this place. We went with my daughter and son-in-law, who had already been, and they wanted to show it to us, and I understand why. In fact, they remembered it very well and wanted to share it with us. No regrets. Thank you again for your hospitality. We will gladly return. I must admit, the owner teased us a bit; it was the Lille-Lens derby match. But all in good fun. 05/05/2026: 👍 The food is very good. The service is perfect. Our burger was a little overcooked, and the burger sauce, which was identical to the fries sauce, was too runny for our liking! No big deal, we still enjoyed it.

We arrived a bit late and ended up near a table of eight, all very merry and boisterous 😂. They'd had a few drinks and were quite noisy, but I think Eva was kind enough to move us to a much quieter table outside. A big thank you! The boys thoroughly enjoyed their Angus beef, and we had salmon tartare. A magnificent place to enjoy a lovely evening in Lille.

From the outside, the place looks a bit odd... but we ventured in anyway and received a very friendly welcome – Google Translate helped both sides. The fact is: it's incredibly small, and you can see the food being cooked right there. What more could you want? You can directly influence your dish. Everything is freshly cooked, with fresh herbs, and presented beautifully. A highly recommended place – if you're ever in the area!
