19/08/2026: Disappointing from start to finish! We came for a family member's birthday to introduce them to the restaurant. As regulars, we had high expectations… but this time, we were very disappointed. First of all, the quality of the sauces was really lacking. Then, several things were forgotten during service: carafe, bread… In short, a lot of little details that, taken together, made the experience particularly disappointing. We were also used to our waitress, "Unicorn." Upon arrival, we learned from the waiter that she was no longer part of the team. What a disappointment! For us, she was clearly one of the best new hires. Her service, professionalism, and good humor really made a difference. Today, we are left with food that leaves much to be desired and service that, unfortunately, is no longer up to the standard we had experienced. For us, that's it. Frankly, it might be time to take a hard look at yourselves, both in terms of the quality of the food and the service and organization. And when you have excellent people on your team, make sure you keep them and value their contributions. We hope, nevertheless, that this feedback will help you become aware of the problems you encountered and improve the experience you offer your customers.

08/08/2026: Beautiful place, lovely setting for a meal with family or friends, both inside and outside in the summer. I was there with a friend. I'm not usually a fan of mashed potatoes and such, but their carrot mousseline was delicious; I thoroughly enjoyed it. The homemade foie gras was excellent. Great value for money, go without hesitation!

The service is impeccable: friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, with just the right touch of presence that makes all the difference. Neither too much nor too little, you feel perfectly welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a particular highlight being the magnificent shaded terrace. The tables are cleverly arranged, leaving ample space to ensure everyone's privacy and tranquility. It's the ideal place to enjoy beautiful summer evenings with friends or family. A very welcome bonus: a large, convenient, and easily accessible parking lot. A true escape just outside Lille. Thank you and congratulations to the entire team for your professionalism and hospitality. We will definitely be back!

15/04/2026: It's always a real pleasure to enjoy the delicious dishes at this restaurant. The Caesar salad I had was absolutely divine. Moreover, unlike most upscale restaurants of this type, the portions are generous and sure to satisfy most appetites. And... the icing on the cake, the service is warm and welcoming! Definitely worth a try!

03/04/2026: This is an establishment you shouldn't hesitate to stop at. Professionalism, both in the welcome and the cuisine, is evident. And that's a good thing! The overnight package is reasonably priced and of high quality. The limited menu offers dishes prepared and chosen according to the season. Well done!

21/08/2026: We came for lunch today to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we received a very warm welcome with generous portions served on a lovely terrace. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

16/08/2026: We had dinner at Au Tropical for my birthday. We were disappointed with our experience. The service was very slow, 40 minutes for a carafe of water requested three times. Our main courses arrived after an hour and 40 minutes, and dessert wasn't offered after a 20-minute wait. The portions of fries were really small, the andouillette sausage was served without the sauce that was supposed to be mustard, and the salad wasn't fresh and poorly dressed. We noticed that customers known to the staff were served before others, which was a shame. The setting is still pleasant, but a few cobwebs near the tables bothered us a bit. The staff were friendly nonetheless, but smoking in front of other customers while we were waiting for dessert wasn't very professional, so we left. €70 for two people without dessert, with an aperitif that was quite expensive compared to what was offered. There are cheaper and better options elsewhere in Cambrai. We even got sick after the meal (andouillette sausage). I'm giving it two stars because there are some positive aspects and there's always room for improvement, as it has good potential. The staff is friendly and the charcuterie board is generous. But there are clearly things to improve, especially since the change of ownership.

31/07/2026: Lovely atmosphere and decor, it's very welcoming. Classic dishes are expertly prepared (using fresh, local ingredients), and the revisited carbonnade was a delightful discovery. The menu would benefit from offering one or two more dishes in this style, perhaps with poultry. A place to remember.

29/07/2026: Last visit about 13 years ago. Excellent. Returned a few days ago, still just as excellent! Atmosphere, service, quality of the meal, and price: 10/10! For authentic Northern cuisine, this is the place to go!
