25/09/2024: Perfect welcome by the owners.
Excellent atmosphere in a typical setting of Flanders estaminets.
The dishes offered are varied, well cooked and plentiful. The desserts are not left out, as can be seen by a magnificent French toast!
Not to mention a choice of top-notch beers and wines.
And all this for a reasonable price.
Highly recommended...we will come back on our next trip to Flanders.

01/09/2024: We came for dinner two days ago. Even though we enjoyed the dishes, we missed the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink pairings, too many different tastes, too many beer-wine combinations.
Regarding the service, on 2 occasions, without intervention on our part, we were served new drinks in the glasses used for the previous ones, the latter having not yet been cleared!
On the other hand, in addition to an error on the bill (we had been charged for water not ordered and not served), we were very surprised to note that despite the presence of many customers, the cleaning of the floor had started (hose with shower, brush broom, etc.). Just another way to tell us “it’s over, you can leave”?

02/09/2024: On y travaille des produits frais, locaux qui laissent entrevoir l'intelligence d'Olivier et de son Chef. Petite mention pour le dessert aux abricots tatins parfumés au thym et à sa boule de glace et son crumble.
Je recommande !

09/09/2024: Un peu décevant vu les avis, c’est un peu cher, les mets sont bons, le pied de porc peu copieux… peut être aurais je du le prendre avec des frites.
Petite déconvenue dont je ne parlerais pas.
Le service est correct.
Manque un petit peu de sourire 🙂 à part pour les habitués, mais bon le cadre est très sympa. Je reviendrai certainement tester un plat moins spécifique pour me faire un avis plus juste car les produits sont qualitatifs…
07/09/2024: Une bonne assiette dans un cadre sympa avec un service détendu, mais quel dommage que la carte des vins soit aussi peu variée (surtout Bordeaux et Bourgogne) et tellement trop chère !! Pas étonnant que les autres tables prennent de la bière, et c'est dommage avec des plats de cochon : le vin du mois démarre à 40€, et vous ne trouverez pas grand chose moins cher (35€ mini), la plupart des vins au-delà de 50€, voir 100€, 300€... c'est totalement incohérent avec l'endroit, la carte, le service...et le patron s'en "cogne" totalement quand on le lui fait remarquer. C'est dommage, cela gâche le plaisir de l'assiette et du moment. Nous ne le conseillons donc pas.

08/10/2024: Très bon accueil. Cadre un peu bruyant. Bon service et cuisine correcte.
Une sauce un peu froide et figée sous les pommes de terre qui gâche un peu le cochon plutôt bon malgré la moutarde trop dominante.
Un mix fish and chips posé sur de la salade,
Bref un repas correct mais qui ne nous laissera pas un grand souvenir gustatif.
Resto sympa avec une cuisine simple et correcte.

11/11/2024: Sommes venus à la marmite de Pierrot sur Capinghem. Bon accueil. Déco estaminet dans lequel on se sent à l'aise. Apéro americano généreux et bon. En entrée, museau de bœuf bien préparé, puis escalope de veau à la crème, frites salade. En dessert, pas d'accès aux crêpes suzettes si on n'est pas deux (dommage car elles ont l'air si bonnes). On a pris un éclair au chocolat géant. Cuisine goûteuse. Service efficace car la salle était bien remplie. Bonne ambiance.
17/10/2024: Tout bien, tout sympa, cadre agréable et bonne cuisine régionale, mais il y a trop de sel dans l'addition, dommage .....

Welcome, quality of food, fresh produce and of course always a kind word and a lovely smile from Fabienne upon leaving. The setting is magnificent and lunch on the terrace on October 30 under beautiful sunshine allowed us to make the most of all the assets of this restaurant. 26/05/2024: When I call at 8 p.m. to reserve a Saturday evening (3 people) the owner tells me that it is full.
We pass by and seeing tables available I push the door. Without a hello she tells me “it’s too late” (sorry the kitchen is closed would have been more appropriate). I ask her if she has a place to recommend, answer “further away”.
Too bad we were recommended this table but the welcome and the opening times need to be reviewed…
26/05/2024: Delicious cuisine! A very warm and cozy welcome.
I highly recommend even if you have to spend a few minutes aperitif and digestive to get there!
