22/03/2026: Excellent in every way. The Welsh rarebit and the Carbonnade were very good. They readily offered a Welsh rarebit without ham for our vegetarian friend and adjusted an appetizer so we could share it. The staff were very friendly and fun, truly welcoming. The cocktails and desserts were also very good, with just the right touch of originality.

21/03/2026: We came because we had heard good reviews about this restaurant. The meal did not live up to our expectations; perhaps we were just unlucky that day for our table of six. Amuse-bouche: bland panna cotta. Starter: chestnut velouté, decent but very thin. The main course completely disappointed us: the menu listed skate wing with caper sauce and risotto. This dish appealed to us, but we were told it was monkfish. We decided to try it anyway. What a disappointment when we tasted the monkfish! Overcooked and rubbery in some portions and undercooked in others. The risotto was bland, lacking in richness and flavor, and the caper beurre blanc sauce was also bland, lacking the true taste of capers. We mentioned this to the waitress, who did her best to rectify the situation. She sent the undercooked monkfish back to the oven and told us that monkfish is a firm-fleshed fish and that it wasn't overcooked. We weren't convinced. We were offered a coffee or a digestif as an apology, but that won't be enough to persuade us to return. I find it hard to understand how reviews describe this as a gourmet restaurant. The prices are unjustified for dishes so lacking in finesse and flavor.

20/02/2026: I went there in January with my family and was pleasantly surprised by the menu and the quality of the meal; you can tell everything is homemade. I highly recommend it!

05/04/2026: A few improvements to make: - Avoid pouring the last of the champagne from a bottle and then topping it up with a fresh glass; - Avoid serving the beginning of the foie gras terrine; serve a slice instead; - Incredibly long wait times (we arrived at the restaurant at noon and left at 4 p.m.); - Understaffed: for 16 occupied tables, there were only 4 people, including the chef; - Tables are a bit cramped. - The food is generally simple, and the Easter dessert (praline nest) was tasteless. Overall rating: 3

17/03/2026: A delightful culinary surprise in Maubeuge. The chef was incredibly attentive in the dining room! The atmosphere and cuisine were warm and welcoming (just like the chef).

26/02/2026: A truly wonderful evening in a setting that's both typical of the North and modernized. The meal was simply sublime! Delicious dishes, a presentation of the reimagined classics worthy of a fine dining establishment, and excellent wines (the food and wine pairing advice was spot on!). There's an old-fashioned fireplace in the room used for grilling meats, and homemade sourdough bread. Go without hesitation!

20/04/2026: Everything was perfect for this birthday meal, from the aperitif to the dessert. The wines and champagne were much appreciated, and the food was delicious. Special mention to the two servers for their responsiveness, particularly regarding our guest with a cheese allergy, which I had forgotten to mention. Thank you. We will be back.

28/02/2026: A fantastic restaurant! My boyfriend and I came on February 28th with a reservation for our first meal out together, and we were pleasantly surprised. We both ordered a Flemish carbonnade and a Paris-Lille, and it was absolutely delicious! The bread was also incredibly good! The waitress was very friendly, and despite being seated next to the restrooms (which was our choice), there were no smells or problems at all; everything was spotless! I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back to enjoy another delicious meal and share it with my friends and family. 🥰

The fish of the day with Crozet pasta was a delight, and to finish, a lemon meringue dome with a raspberry center—a marvel! Thank you for this culinary pleasure.
