24/05/2026: This hotel is a wonderful experience, an exceptional setting, a haven of peace, with simple but very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice and delicious local products. The owner's cooking is exceptional; we enjoyed a stopover while cycling the Scandinavian Way and had a truly outstanding meal. The staff, servers, and owner all offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

06/04/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic Easter weekend at Château de la Motte in Liessies! The Easter menu was simply exceptional: generous, flavorful cuisine with excellent value for money. Special mention goes to the rack of lamb, perfectly paired with a very good red wine. The children's menu is also very well thought out: our daughter loved it! We also spent the night there in a very comfortable family room, with two separate areas and a lovely bathroom. A hearty breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. A warm welcome, impeccable service, and the kind of family atmosphere we love. We completely understand why the establishment is celebrating its 90th anniversary! A must-visit in the Avesnois region — we will definitely be back! 👍

07/06/2026: A professional welcome, a pleasant surprise upon entering a delicately scented room where Carambar candies were waiting for me. The elevator is separated from the rooms by doors. Sliding wooden shutters provide an additional barrier between the rooms and the outside. The bedding was comfortable and the breakfast was complete. Dinner was reasonably priced and parking was free. Don't hesitate to stay here.

06/10/2026: We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday on October 3rd… The tables were beautifully arranged… The weather was lovely, and we were also able to enjoy the garden! Our waiter and waitress provided excellent service and a warm welcome! They were very attentive to our comfort and meticulous in serving drinks and food! As for the food, we had a wonderful surf and turf starter with delicious salmon and foie gras! The main course buffet featured perfectly cooked beef, chicken waterzooi with mushrooms and a divine sauce, and a seafood platter with dauphinoise potatoes, ratatouille, or spinach as sides! The dessert buffet included pastries, fruit salad, and a chocolate fountain! Truly a wonderful experience! Bravo!

The father, son, servers, and the entire team took exceptional care of us throughout the evening! From the appetizers to dessert, everything was PERFECT! The food was of high quality, the team was close-knit and contributed to the wonderful atmosphere, and a special mention goes to the waitress who graced the dance floor with her best moves. I didn't like a local dish, not because it wasn't well-prepared, but because it wasn't to my taste. And yet, when the bill arrived, it wasn't charged and without me even being told. Such excellent customer service! Thank you, and the waitress was very friendly and smiling.
