02/08/2026: A very good experience with the "gastronomy" featured in Dany Boon's film shot in Bergues. The fricadelles and homemade fries were excellent. Ordered for two, served for five.

02/08/2026: The SHAME of Bergues! Bergues, its history, its ramparts, such a charming and touristy place. Yet, right in the middle of the square, a blight tarnishes such a beautiful postcard. We ordered chicken with Maroilles cheese, of course! We were looking for some authentic Northern French cuisine... The fries? Frozen!? The Maroilles sauce? Too runny. The chicken? A disaster! We were served a measly piece around a bone, not even the carefully selected chicken breast like all the other restaurants offering this menu. You pull it apart and find blood, a sign of very poor cooking. The waitress, looking embarrassed, confided that the pieces are received like this. We therefore assume very poor quality poultry bought in bulk and cheap. A second plate arrives. No better. We point it out, force ourselves to eat, disappointed. The waitress asks about some kind of compensation. Two coffees, but we don't want them. No discount on the bill. When it came time to pay, we explained our disappointment to the owner. Unpleasant, she pointed out that two plates had been served, and that it cost extra. She was trying to make us feel guilty. She made it clear that she didn't care about people's opinions because her chip shop had been around for 40 years and always had plenty of customers. Of course, since it's the only chip shop in town! Sad. Avoid at all costs!

24/07/2026: It's not what it used to be! The atmosphere wasn't great. The welcome wasn't great either. Before, if you arrived, it was packed unless you had a reservation. Fabrice isn't there anymore, and you can really feel the difference! The set menu we ordered was the same one my mother and I had already ordered, and frankly, it wasn't good at all. We didn't even finish our meals. We expressed our dissatisfaction, but the owner chose to ignore us! We're no longer from the area, and we certainly won't be back.

18/07/2026: After a very good review, we were very disappointed after two visits in the evening (on a Saturday). It tasted like reheated food! Microwaved! The salmon was overcooked, with a bad taste and no flavor (like Marie's). The waiter noticed and replaced the dish, which arrived two minutes later, but it was cold. The gratin dauphinois was grayish, and I suspect it was reheated from lunch. In short, we left without dessert. The owner didn't even apologize. We won't be going back. Either they've changed chefs or things are going downhill. Restaurants need to understand that when we pay, it's to enjoy a delicious meal, not to leave it all on the plate.

10/07/2026: One of the best chip shops in the area! The fries are excellent, the sandwiches are generously filled, and everything is always served piping hot. The staff is friendly, the wait is short, and the place is very clean. A real pleasure every time I visit. I highly recommend it!

18/08/2026: A very charming bistro in Gournet, also popular with locals. My personal favorite this year was the haddock tartare, and my husband loved the desserts.

01/09/2026: A rather mixed experience… the food was good, but the service seriously needs improvement. The waiter seemed overwhelmed, serving several tables at once, which I find unacceptable. Our main courses arrived before our charcuterie board… We had ordered a roasted Camembert and a Camembert tart, which I think was simply reheated in the oven, judging by the crust which was crumbling as if it were overcooked… We asked twice for bread, and the waiter told us it was heating up. I think it must be burnt by now since it never arrived, so my partner couldn't finish his cheese… I think the waiter is seriously lacking in organization or support from his manager. I didn't come often to this place anyway, and now I can say I won't be going back.

31/08/2026: For a first experience, it was a disaster. I arrived at 11:50 am for my main course and dessert and left at 1:40 pm. The chicken was swimming in sauce. It was overcooked and therefore no longer moist. The service was far too slow. And despite complaining to the waiter, there was no reaction. I will never return to this restaurant.

26/06/2026: A must-visit in Sin-le-Noble. We had a delightful time enjoying generous and flavorful dishes, all served in a very pleasant setting. The portions were substantial and beautifully presented. The gourmet coffee was particularly excellent, with a lovely variety of small pastries and perfectly smooth whipped cream to end the meal on a sweet note. It's a real pleasure to find such refined cuisine.

19/07/2026: A very warm welcome in a beautiful setting with the option of dining on the terrace or in the air-conditioned dining room. Set menus are available, as well as à la carte options. The scallops and burger were excellent. However, I was disappointed by the dessert; the Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce) was not up to par for the price. I still recommend it, though.

09/03/2026: Thank you for your warm welcome! Everything was perfect. We had a short but incredibly pleasant stay! The hotel is charming and elegant. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent (fresh orange juice, scrambled eggs with bacon made to order, superb bread and pastries, etc.) with a lovely view of the garden. We will be back! P. & B. L. Eymery
