25/12/2025: Excellent, whether it's the bakery or the pastry shop. Update after a Christmas order...simply excellent...the Yule logs were sublime, the "Merveilleuse" and "Temptation" pastries were amazing, and their specialty breads were excellent.

04/04/2026: One of the best value-for-money restaurants on the seafront. The service is very good. The food too. If you don't have a reservation, it's best to arrive at the very beginning of service if you want to be seated on the veranda with a sea view. I recommend the Welsh rarebit. It's rare to find a good Welsh rarebit that isn't greasy. And the mussels and fries are simple but very good. Good 0% beer.

I don't often leave reviews, but this time... from now on, before going to McDonald's or KFC, which end up costing me a lot more... because you have to order several burgers to feel full... here, one is more than enough with a small order of fries for three people 😉... you eat so much better because it's delicious. For me, it's the Maroilles cheese specialty 😋😋 but everyone has their own tastes 😉... honestly, it's so good, I'm really enjoying it!! 😋

27/03/2026: An hour's wait before being served is a long time (not even lard or appetizers...); lack of servers, lack of decoration, it doesn't really feel like a traditional Flemish pub, not enough space to play the few Flemish games.

15/02/2026: Reservation made on Thursday (the manager gave no information about a Valentine's Day menu). Upon arrival, the order was taken very slowly, the owner was running around frantically, and I was forced to order the Valentine's Day menu, with no alternative options. The owner's wife offered no positive response. This restaurant is best avoided; it's a shame for the employees.

04/02/2026: A very warm welcome and very helpful staff, and above all, the food is excellent. I highly recommend it, and it's also a great roadside restaurant.

10/04/2026: Dinner Thursday, April 9th ​​at 8 pm. An idyllic green setting; you can hear the birds from the terrace, and you feel completely relaxed after a long day at work. A warm and friendly welcome, the dining room and terrace are beautiful, and the menu offers more than just fries. Plenty of choice, all homemade! An affordable price. We will be back with our friends to share this unique setting, just 15-20 minutes from Leval. A huge thank you for this wonderful establishment, which we sorely needed in the Avesnois region!

29/03/2026: For years I've been coming to this hotel, and I've always been very satisfied. It had been a few years since my last stay, and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is very well located, and the staff (reception, bar, housekeeping) are excellent, both in terms of service and their friendly manner (politeness, smiles, etc.).

24/03/2026: The curtains were so old they were starting to fall apart. The bedspread was torn in the middle. The toilet and bathroom are separate. There's no tap/sink to wash your hands in the toilet area; you have to go outside to get to the bathroom. The staff in the bar/restaurant area didn't speak English, and they said there wasn't an English menu. The only positive thing was its proximity to the station.
