09/02/2026: I came this weekend to eat there, and the food was really good, no complaints there. However, I was greeted by a very cold (and burly) young man when I arrived. A real shame! My friend, who arrived before me, made the same comment that the welcome hadn't been great.

08/02/2026: Nice little dish, but the service was a bit slow. Also, the waitress couldn't tell us what was in the "gourmet coffee." She just said it was little cakes 😁 and well, yes, I figured.

23/11/2025: The atmosphere is fantastic. The owner is very pleasant and always smiling. They have quite a few themed evenings. Don't hesitate to go.

14/01/2026: The hotel has creaky wooden floors, so if your upstairs neighbor isn't asleep, you can't sleep either, as you hear every step and every movement. I was really disappointed with this experience.

24/12/2025: Excellent hotel! Very friendly staff. My room was small, but clean and comfortable... comfortable double bed and pillows... I slept great! Breakfast was delicious... plenty of choice. The soundproofing between rooms is poor... that's the only downside, but it was quiet at night. I'll definitely return to this hotel...

21/11/2025: A charming little pub with a family atmosphere. Traditional regional cuisine. Friendly and welcoming service. Quality menu and good beers, including Angelus. No vegetarian menu, but alternative options are available. The layout and decor are perfect. Don't hesitate! They've gained three new customers from us!

09/11/2025: We arrived for a post-hike snack and received a very warm welcome. The manager is exceptionally kind. There was a children's table next to ours, and he brought them several games to keep them entertained and even offered candy (to all the customers, actually). A relaxed, friendly atmosphere, just the way we like it. We'll definitely be back! I especially recommend the crepes!

06/11/2025: The treats that came with the chocolate were incredibly good! The service is quick, the staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere is pleasant. This brasserie brought back childhood memories of going there for a grenadine with water with my family. I highly recommend it.

15/12/2025: I discovered this place during a professional seminar. The setting is magnificent, with a large park that's well worth a visit. The service was simply perfect, especially from Bruno who took excellent care of our group. The meals were delicious and accommodated my dietary restrictions. Well done and a big thank you to the entire team!

10/10/2025: Hello, I spent a night in this magnificent castle. Welcome, service, and food: always available and attentive, the team really takes great care of you. The grounds are also very pleasant. The room was very comfortable with period furniture. I hope the ongoing renovation will preserve all the charm of the place. See you soon in the Valenciennes region.

30/12/2025: Excellent creamy mussels eaten during the sailing trip. It was busy, but not stressful at all, and the service was pleasant. We had the set menu (main course + dessert) with an aperitif and a bottle of wine. Reasonable price. We went back for the catch of the day. Always very good.

07/02/2026: A quality menu, a warm welcome, attentive waitresses. It has become our family restaurant (birthdays, events).

21/01/2026: A very pleasant place, both in summer with its terrace and in winter with its two-level dining room (a balcony and a ground floor). Its layout is somewhat unusual, offering a cozy atmosphere in the evening and a bright ambiance during the day. The table service is friendly and the staff is professional. They offer brasserie-style dishes to suit all tastes and budgets. I highly recommend this bar and restaurant.

27/02/2026: The burger was made with a piece of dry chuck instead of a steak, the burger was cold, and so were the fries. I told the waiter, but he didn't care... Disappointed, especially since I used to love going there.

16/02/2026: What a wonderful time we had this Sunday at this charming restaurant! Besides the magnificent view of Parc Barbieux, we discovered a pleasant, smiling, helpful, and attentive staff, and mouthwatering cuisine. Yes, an excellent experience!

06/02/2026: Given the quality of today's flat carbonate lunch, I'll never buy it again. I have the photos.

30/12/2025: Restaurant recommended by the Leward Historic Site.... Our drink order was taken 30 minutes after our arrival. We ordered our meals, three in total, including two daily specials. It took another 45 minutes to be served: the salmon steak was dry, the vegetables were bland and cold. The three dishes weren't served at the same time, which is also unusual. And to top it all off, there was a mistake on the bill, a mix-up with another table... a discount???? No, barely a word of apology. Not recommended, even if there are no more tables available at the Leward Historic Site restaurant.

17/11/2025: As a Lyon native visiting Lille, my discovery couldn't have been more delightful. A warm welcome, a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere—I had a wonderful time with the other customers and the manager. All this, of course, while enjoying a good glass of wine without restraint, as the ideal location allows easy access on foot to all the city's attractions. Thank you for this evening spent in your company. Laughter and sparkle ;-).

08/11/2025: Excellent coffee, just like before! The restaurant is perfect for lunch. There's always a daily special, with unbeatable value for money. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service efficient, making it an ideal spot for a quick and tasty lunch break.

22/11/2025: We had prepared this meal at Boenewal for a group of 18 hikers, so we had tested it beforehand. It's a fantastic restaurant in the heart of the countryside. The food is excellent: grilled specialties cooked over a wood fire in the fireplace, but also a superb calf's head with brains and tongue, and a wonderful gribiche sauce. It's only served on the last two Fridays of the month. The service was impeccable, and we left in time for our afternoon hike. I had mentioned it upon arrival! The atmosphere is warm and typical of old-fashioned farmhouses! The owner is incredibly friendly and very accommodating...Bravo! Thank you, and we'll be back!
