24/01/2026: They get overwhelmed quickly! There weren't many people there, only one person ahead of me, and when you order 4 sandwiches and fries, they manage to forget the cheese in 2 cheeseburgers, and another time it was the sauce they forgot. Double-check your order before leaving.

21/01/2026: Craving fries but on a diet? You've come to the right place! A large order of fries costs the same as a kids' meal. The staff have questionable and insulting behavior (except with their close friends). Do you enjoy being threatened? Well, it's free and unlimited! The quality is low-budget, nothing like the superb photos shown, and it's expensive. Go to McDonald's or Burger King; it's better and cheaper.

30/01/2025: The old Lille institution pubstore is a real journey through time, as much for its decor as for the music or the play on words that name the dishes (I love it)!!! The cuisine is tasty, based on fresh, quality products, we had a great time 😋. The only downside was that the waitress was particularly unpleasant and apparently annoyed at serving our group on this weekday evening when the restaurant was almost empty… She gets the bill wrong and angrily asks us: we're going to have to pay the difference!! It’s completely normal, but there are ways to say it, especially when the mistake is on your part… I still recommend the establishment, but the service is part of the service, pay attention 😉

10/12/2025: It could be a great place because the waitresses are friendly, but the hygiene, especially in the restrooms, needs a complete overhaul.

26/02/2025: your explanations for your closure are more than risky you know very well that the covid crisis plus the economic crisis plus the transformation of the Place d'Arme into a pedestrian zone which caused the surrounding businesses to lose 40% of their customers plus the closure of the Passage des Flanders on December 3 completed the disaster in just 3 months 10 license 4 establishments (bars bistros restaurants) closed for bankruptcy! in Valenciennes you are the 10th and everyone noted this so as not to incriminate the municipal team when it is the turn of the SET I wonder how you will react! note: responding to a dissatisfied customer the day before the permanent closure of the establishment that you are going to improve the table service is at the highest level!

27/01/2026: Dish of the day at €13.80: steamed chicken fillet (tasteless) topped with gorgonzola sauce, served with pasta covered in parmesan (maybe) and a little parsley. In short, not very tasty, disappointing. Add to that a 33cl Karmelitt = total €20.30. I see some rather positive reviews, but some people must have the palates of Dobermans. This isn't a roadside diner, don't be fooled, it's more like a very expensive canteen. A kebab would have had more flavor. Sorry for this harsh opinion, but you can't take advantage.

15/02/2026: The welcome was mixed. The waiter wasn't welcoming, didn't smile, and didn't even bother to announce that we should follow him to our table. I'm making a point of mentioning this because this restaurant aims for a sophisticated and "chic" atmosphere, but the initial impression contradicts that. As for the Valentine's Day menu, it was rather bland overall... the starter was duck foie gras served in a far too large slice with three small pieces of toast cut into triangles. It was disproportionate. I had to eat the foie gras with a fork... Regarding the main course (cod), the orange sauce added nothing, the vegetables were overly salty, and there was nothing to enhance the dish or complement the otherwise decent presentation. And for the dessert (pavlova), the fruit was good but not particularly exotic, and the pastry cream was heavy and too sweet for the amount of meringue on the plate. The chef could have added more fruit to compensate for the lack of whipped cream, which would have made the dessert much lighter and, above all, less sweet. It's a real shame because, for a menu priced at €57 per person, not including drinks and other extras, the price is exorbitant for the final quality of the experience. I'm including everything: the service, the welcome, the food, the atmosphere, and the price. It's very disappointing, and unfortunately for you, I won't be going back. It's not worth traveling dozens of kilometers.
