03/05/2026: Quite disappointed, it's not our first time there. The staff has changed and they're not very friendly, especially the tattooed man with the beard and "long" hair. A young woman and another young man were really nice. However, we had paprika salt on our fries which had no flavor. We ordered a veggie sandwich, and it was served with bread and only raw vegetables. We didn't really understand; everything was put in the sandwich when we only asked for meat. In short, lots of mistakes, expensive for what we got.

24/04/2026: Avoid at all costs! We came to order a large order of fries and were greeted in a particularly unpleasant manner, with the distinct impression that we were bothering them. They showed no interest in helping us, their tone was curt, and the service was rushed. Don't even expect to get any more helpful advice from the other person preparing the fries: she'll just give you the once-over from the back of the shop...while smoking a cigarette! Unacceptable! Furthermore, the "large fries" for 4 euros is a complete joke (see photo). The fries might be okay (but nothing extraordinary), but the service/welcome is in dire need of improvement! I absolutely do not recommend this place.

30/04/2026: Today, we went to a restaurant with my 4-year-old daughter for a little girls' night out. We arrived at 12:08 PM. We immediately placed our order, and I explained that we needed our food quickly, as my daughter had to go back to school. I was told, "Yes, no problem, we'll pass it on to the chef." Forty minutes later, we still hadn't received our meals. The flank steak and a child's hamburger were cooked well. It shouldn't take 40 minutes to cook those. I asked for our food again, which was brought to us barely a minute or two later. A waitress had the nerve to tell me, "Avoid asking for well-done meat when you're in a hurry." I reminded everyone that my daughter is 4 years old; she needs to eat well-cooked meat to avoid ingesting any bacteria! And at what point do they make comments like that 40 minutes after we arrived? We weren't allowed to have our meat cooked to our liking? We had an hour to eat, but we had to eat in 15 minutes—great for a 4-year-old! Then... I asked four times after my pepper sauce was brought to me once I'd finished my plate. What's the logic in that? Very disappointed with the service, you can be sure we won't be back.

16/04/2026: Excellent welcome, pleasant waitress, very good service, you get your money's worth, reasonable price, such a generous portion that it was impossible to have dessert (appetizer platter + main course) 🤗 I recommend it!

10/05/2026: We had lunch here today. The highlight was the service from Mr. Arnaud, who kindly explained the menu to us. Thanks to his help, we enjoyed the croquettes and escargots, which were fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxed and well-maintained, perfect for conversation, enjoying the city view, and a lovely date. I highly recommend this place!

06/04/2026: Discovered this beach bar over Easter weekend. A fantastic time, a lovely surprise. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is incredibly pleasant, with sunshine and a truly charming little beach – it makes all the difference. A huge plus for the service: the gentleman was absolutely top-notch, very friendly, and took the time to explain the menu thoroughly and offer helpful advice. We immediately felt at ease. I highly recommend it, we'll be back! ☀️

26/05/2026: Dinner for three after a reservation - perfect welcome - ideal time between courses - excellent taste - friendly waiter - concise menu (no long lists) - more than reasonable bill - EXCELLENT BRASSERIE!!!!!

22/05/2026: VERY DISAPPOINTING! We usually go for a coffee on a terrace along the seafront or in town. We enjoy our bread roll or croissant with a coffee or other drink, and everything is always fine everywhere, with friendly service and a very warm welcome. This week, we went to Le Grand Morien on Place Jean Bart, ordered two large coffees, and enjoyed them with croissants we had bought in town. Immediately, a waiter came to tell us that it was strictly forbidden to eat pastries because they also served crepes and other desserts! They could have simply informed us that there was a sign prohibiting them at the entrance, BUT we didn't see anything when we went onto the terrace! This is the first time we've been approached like this in Dunkirk, as everywhere else we are welcome, even with our pastries. It's very unpleasant to experience this kind of situation, as we felt like we were inconveniencing them. "NO LAW FORBIDS IT" We will NEVER set foot in that establishment again!

28/04/2026: The restaurant is closed on weekends, so be aware! Breakfast is basic and sometimes not very fresh. The room was almost clean, but there was hair on the bed and the bathroom had mold. Otherwise, the receptionist was great! However, the room key was deactivated the very next morning, even though we could have stayed until noon.

26/04/2026: Our second stay was just as enjoyable. However, there were two minor issues. A broken ceiling tile in the room and the breakfast was poorly replenished (even though there were only eight of us in the restaurant, there were no more omelets, ham, sausages, sliced ​​cheese, oranges for juice, napkins, and an empty jam jar). During our first visit, the service had been impeccable. We won't hold it against them and will return, hoping it was just a temporary problem.

21/01/2026: A very pleasant place, both in summer with its terrace and in winter with its two-level dining room (a balcony and a ground floor). Its layout is somewhat unusual, offering a cozy atmosphere in the evening and a bright ambiance during the day. The table service is friendly and the staff is professional. They offer brasserie-style dishes to suit all tastes and budgets. I highly recommend this bar and restaurant.

18/03/2026: Good location, pleasant place, but a major drawback is the cleanliness of the rooms... cobwebs, unwashed floor, towel rack near the toilet full of splashes, impossible to put your towel on...

17/03/2026: A bit shabby! For the price, you'd expect a higher standard! Plus, the reception is appalling when you arrive with a Wonderbox voucher. Everything is a bit worn and in poor condition. The restaurant is very average and expensive. In short, for a comparable price, you'd be better off staying in a hotel in Lille.

24/05/2026: Visited yesterday at lunchtime, May 23, 2026. Ordered: Mussels and fries marinière, mayonnaise, 50 cl of sparkling water, floating island dessert, and a large coffee, plus a coffee with cream for a friend. The food was pleasant, the fries were fresh and homemade, the floating island was delicious and visually appealing, the coffee was good, the service was attentive and responsive, the atmosphere was relaxed with background music, and the decor was nice. The bill was reasonable! Looking forward to returning!

16/05/2026: Waiting an hour for an appetizer without having ordered a drink is unacceptable. All that for overcooked, dry fried seafood, and the fries on the main course were barely cooked. Not recommended.
