08/04/2026: We wanted to have a drink here in the afternoon and chose an empty table. After a few minutes, we were rudely approached by a waiter who informed us that the table was reserved. This was not indicated anywhere. We moved to another spot and received another rude "do you need a menu?", even though they asked us to view the menu via a QR code. We waited another 5 minutes, but no one bothered to serve us. We left without service. A place to avoid as a tourist!

13/03/2026: €20 for the children's menu, €10 for a planter's punch, and €26 minimum for a main course. The food is good, but not worth the price. Used to traditional pubs, this was nothing like it; we definitely went to the wrong restaurant.

24/03/2026: A wonderful discovery in Gravelines! A very warm welcome from Thibaut, always smiling, and friendly, professional staff – well done! A delicious meal with quality ingredients, a great charcuterie board, excellent mussels in garlic cream sauce – if you love garlic, you won't be disappointed! The Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce) was superb! I highly recommend this establishment!

07/03/2026: A very warm welcome, impeccable service, a very pleasant setting, and on top of that, the food was absolutely delicious. Nothing negative to say, I highly recommend this place.

27/03/2026: It was a fantastic time at La Croix ou Pile! The steak tartare was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned; although it was a little more "cooked" than usual (the "searing" the waitress explained apparently took longer than expected), the flavors were definitely there. I absolutely loved the two-chocolate entremet for dessert: you could really taste the natural and authentic cocoa, it was light and not too sweet. A truly wonderful place to return to!

26/03/2026: Beautiful setting in the heart of the forest. Average brasserie. The food is greasy with only one breaded fish option on the menu. The downside is that the menu never changes. It features prawns or pan-fried fish that have more breading than fish. The restaurant has three distinct areas: a cozy veranda overlooking the forest, a wooden alcove with large bay windows, and finally, a fireplace area. All with views of the Marchiennes forest. It's great, but a shame the food quality has declined.

30/03/2026: Terrible service. We came for an afternoon snack and ordered a waffle that was simply tasteless, and the hot drinks were just as bad. Completely unsuitable for children. Given the idyllic setting, we expected much better.

28/03/2026: My partner and I stopped for a drink with our dogs. The staff were pleasant, and the service was quick and friendly.

11/10/2025: Convinced by the reviews I've read here, I gave in to temptation at La Cambuse. Unfortunately, I didn't find much in the following comments: - First, the smell of fried food is striking, as soon as you enter the bar/restaurant, guaranteeing smelly clothes all afternoon. - Second, the dining room has almost no natural light (just a skylight), with very basic furniture, not very pleasant; it's quite sad to eat in. - The draft beer menu is rather poor, which is always a shame in the north. - The service is nevertheless pleasant and fast. - But I was disappointed when the frozen fries and bagged salad arrived...

17/04/2026: Aside from the fact that they don't accept reservations...so you have to be there by noon at the latest to get a table!! We ordered a starter and a main course...but the waiter didn't write down the starter...so no starter!! A vague excuse, but they just brought us our mussels anyway, and at the till, no gesture of goodwill or apology whatsoever!!! Appalling customer service!! Avoid at all costs!!

01/03/2026: I received a very warm welcome at the Paris bistro. The dishes were well-prepared and delicious, the wines were reasonably priced and varied, and the service was very friendly. I will definitely return.

11/02/2026: Avoid the Pithiviers! It's simply awful, a disgrace compared to the other dishes. A €4 frozen meal from the supermarket is more nutritious.
