26/02/2025: your explanations for your closure are more than risky you know very well that the covid crisis plus the economic crisis plus the transformation of the Place d'Arme into a pedestrian zone which caused the surrounding businesses to lose 40% of their customers plus the closure of the Passage des Flanders on December 3 completed the disaster in just 3 months 10 license 4 establishments (bars bistros restaurants) closed for bankruptcy! in Valenciennes you are the 10th and everyone noted this so as not to incriminate the municipal team when it is the turn of the SET I wonder how you will react! note: responding to a dissatisfied customer the day before the permanent closure of the establishment that you are going to improve the table service is at the highest level!

21/02/2026: 10/10! Homemade, delicious, welcoming… everything is perfect! The pot-au-feu, the steak tartare… a real treat! An address that deserves to be known and appreciated.

14/04/2026: Our first time at Brasserie des Flandres and we weren't disappointed! We had a very good meal at a reasonable price. Moreover, the owners gave us a warm welcome. We will definitely be back very soon.

28/03/2026: Improvements have been made to the reception since 2024; we had a wonderful time at the spa, thank you to Jade and Ninon for the massage. A minor drawback was the locker system, which needs improvement (no keys and broken codes), and the lack of information that the hammam entrance is before the changing rooms; many people missed it, as I think we did.

15/03/2026: My experience at Hippopotamus Lille met all my expectations: simple, quick, and efficient. Ideal for a meal where you don't want to waste time without sacrificing quality. The service is well-oiled and the welcome is pleasant. I recommend it for a lunch break or dinner without any unpleasant surprises.

25/02/2026: The experience could have been good with less of a wait (1 hour to take our order, 30+ minutes for the starter despite the restaurant being two-thirds full!). We asked for the wait to be expedited, but the waitress quickly brushed us off. The dishes were fairly good, although the meat was undercooked (the rare was blue and the well-done was just rare), and there were no fries. We do not recommend it.

16/02/2026: A small restaurant with wood-fired cooking that makes all the difference. 🔥 You can taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming; you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The owner and staff are truly lovely, smiling, and attentive. You can feel their genuine passion and desire to please their customers. We had a wonderful time, and it was also very good value for money. I highly recommend this place and will gladly return! 😊

26/03/2026: Excellent experience, it felt like home. I received a wonderfully warm welcome from Charlotte, and her cooking exudes the comforting, home-style dishes that warm the heart. She's a smiling and lovely person, and it truly provided a light and relaxing break in my day, in a bright and comfortable setting. I highly recommend her restaurant.

13/12/2025: Portion sizes need to be reduced considering the price: three pieces of beef bourguignon were barely enough to compete on the plate, and the sautéed potatoes were undercooked and cold. It's a shame because the meat was tender... We left to have dessert elsewhere!
