18/02/2026: A pleasant place, especially in winter: a warm atmosphere and a nice setting to relax in. The staff is quite friendly, nothing to report there. However, the hot chocolate was a huge disappointment. Over €4 (€4.20) for a drink served in a coffee-sized cup, so a very small portion. And on top of that, the taste was really disappointing. At that price, you expect at least something of decent quality and a generous amount. The Coke was standard, nothing special. So I recommend the place for the setting and the atmosphere, but definitely not for the hot chocolate.

04/03/2026: A superb, majestic establishment! This was my second visit; the reservation was made by my children for my 50th birthday, including facial treatments and access to the spa and pool. Unfortunately, for the second time, the hammam and sauna were closed. It's a shame to have access rights and not be able to use them. Otherwise, the facial treatment was truly excellent.

03/03/2026: An incredible place steeped in history, with sumptuous decor. The rooms are magnificent, the decoration exquisite. The spa area is breathtaking. The restaurant is also excellent. All the staff are truly attentive and professional. I can't find a single thing to criticize.

01/01/2026: We came for dinner on December 31st (New Year's Eve), and when we arrived, we were surprised to be seated at a table very close to other people—far too close, in fact, without any prior warning. It would be helpful to ask if this is acceptable. The meal was very good, but the wait between the appetizer and the main course was extremely long. We ate our main course at 1:00 AM, when most of the other tables had already eaten before midnight. Since most people had already eaten, we had to eat amidst the showers of party favors and blowguns that followed. Dessert? At 3:00 AM, it still hadn't arrived… The atmosphere, however, was really great! And the waitresses were very kind and helpful. We know it's a tough night for the entire team. Overall, it was very good, but the shared table and the long wait were major drawbacks. We have been celebrating New Year's at your place for 2 years now and the atmosphere is always great.

31/12/2025: The atmosphere was fantastic! We booked very early to get a good table. Hubert provided the music, and his waitresses were attentive and always smiling. We'll definitely be back; it's always a great atmosphere, fun, and we meet interesting people.

27/08/2025: I booked on July 8th, I received a confirmation email. Last Friday I received an email canceling my reservation. Since the reason was not indicated, I called to find out if it was a mistake or if I could book again, but they didn't answer. Keir site is disabled. I called back yesterday 3 times, I left a message. The site is active this time but we can't book. Needless to say, I'm disappointed not to be able to go there and I'm even more disappointed with the customer service, which is non-existent! As far as I'm concerned, I've forgotten this address and I won't recommend this place at all! We can tell ourselves that the establishment is run by trolls, but that's actually the case...

30/01/2026: Yesterday I ate mussels, they were very questionable, I got sick last night. Today I ate flank steak, I asked for it rare, I practically believed it, frankly disgusting. Close your eyes when you walk past it, don't go in.

25/12/2025: Not accessible to people with reduced mobility, which is unacceptable in 2025, and all the more regrettable because people could consume the product. A doorbell is provided, but it's often useless since the staff pretend not to see you, probably too lazy to go outside when the place is full; the customers serve you. Some customers even cut in front of you despite you announcing your presence. The smell of cannabis is unbearable when you walk past.

10/02/2026: Ate today at Flunch Grande Synthe I'm very disappointed with the mussels. They were overcooked and cold. My wife's fish was also lukewarm and undercooked. She went back to the kitchen to have it reheated, but they threw it away and served her another piece of fish.

09/02/2026: We went to eat lunch yesterday and ordered sliced ​​ham. We each received two very small, thin slices. My husband told the woman who served him that she wasn't allowed to give us more. It was starting to get expensive for such a small amount of meat.

01/01/2026: A huge disappointment for New Year's Eve... Paying €200 per person to find ourselves in a "banquet" setting, eating at everyone else's pace, having our plates cleared and our tables served all at once... it's really not what we expected for a menu at that price... and in that place! Regarding the menu, we arrived at 7 pm, and we only started being served after 8 pm... They forgot to bring us the amuse-bouches (we had to ask). It was impossible to call the waiter for drinks; he rushed between each table without looking up... The foie gras had no taste... The veal was very dry; it really tasted like school cafeteria food... the spiral potato was also completely dry. We stopped there and asked for desserts to go. Keeping people at the table for over 5 hours is just unacceptable... This isn't our first New Year's Eve dinner, and I've never seen anything like it... endless waiting between courses (of course, they wait for everyone to finish before serving the next course...). Not to mention the bread, which is basically frozen bread they bake on-site (I used to work in the hotel industry, I know this kind of bread well). For the price, you expect fresh bread! The only positive point was the atmosphere. In short, rereading my review, I realize it was truly disastrous. Really disappointing; €200 per person for this is disgusting.

08/11/2025: We stumbled upon La Civette quite by chance, after driving along the beach from Dunkirk, and honestly, we couldn't have found a better spot. My friend and I received a super warm welcome. A special shout-out to the owners, Steven and David, as well as all the regulars we met (Franck and Tony), who immediately made us feel at ease, as if we'd been part of the group forever! We had a truly wonderful time, full of good cheer and great encounters. We would have loved to stay much longer, but we had to rush off to catch the bus back to Dunkirk! A huge thank you again to everyone for this fantastic time, and especially to David who drove us back to the bus station at the end of the evening!
