16/02/2026: The best place I've been to in Douai. Note that this is La Pergola restaurant, now separate from the Vintage bar. Set in a courtyard, it has a lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome. The food is truly delicious (the baked egg and sautéed shrimp on creamy leeks are to die for, the duck breast is cooked to perfection and served in a generous portion…), the prices are very reasonable, and the set menu is even better. And in the warmer months, there's an incredible garden to enjoy a meal or a drink with friends (as a fan of sweet wines, the waiter introduced me to an amazing Coteaux du Layon). In short, a must-visit for me.

15/08/2026: €5.50 for a bottle of Volvic water, you have to be thirsty.

12/08/2026: Absolutely filthy, it's like being in a highway rest stop toilet, but the whole place is disgusting. I'm not even going to mention the glasses; it's like the Burger King in Cusset/Vichy, but worse in terms of hygiene.

23/07/2026: Unfortunately closed! We went there several times in previous years and always had a good meal. What a shame.

11/07/2026: After a short stay in Bray-Dunes, it seems that the restaurant Les Coquillages is permanently closed. What a shame, we had many enjoyable times there.

09/08/2026: So, it's a Sunday and most of the town is shut. Luckily, we found this place, which seemed to be buzzing with people of all ages sat on the terrace. Staff were apologetic about the food, "only finger food". It was lovely, a generous cheese and charcuterie platter and selection of tapas.

26/05/2026: It's pretty run-down. The mattress is rubbish and instead of a slatted frame, there's just a chipboard base. A restful sleep is only possible to a limited extent.

17/07/2026: I didn't know the steak sandwich contained chicken, it's simply disgusting, the bread is as revolting as the minced fat steak, I do not recommend it at all!

07/07/2026: Friendly staff. We ordered an iced caramel latte, banana frappuccino, and flat white. Also a brookie and Nutella muffin afterwards. It all tasted very good.

05/07/2026: Had a salmon bagel it was like trying to eat a boulder the bread was rock solid, salad inside was too mushy to eat, I think it was a tomato in there but who knows and the coffee was hotter than the surface of the sun so was too bitter to drink

26/09/2026: The hotel has been very well renovated, is clean, and has good bedding. However, it's not easy to find.

05/09/2026: The room was very clean and the staff very accommodating.

11/10/2026: It's a shame that the food has deteriorated so much since the change of ownership. Despite the efforts of the waitresses, the owner's forced and unpleasant attitude ultimately ruined the experience and discouraged us from returning. After giving it several chances, we are now forced to revise a review that was very positive two years ago. The value for money of the food deserves to be improved, rather than giving way to an arrogance that, unfortunately, is in no way justified by the quality of the service.

13/05/2026: Disastrous experience; I strongly advise against this type of club. The manager is unpleasant, everything is much more expensive than the initial price. No one was on the court behind us, and he turned off the lights after just two minutes of play.

02/06/2026: I booked a night for myself and a contractor for an evening out at a bar near the hotel. My contractor had a terrible night, attacked by bedbugs with two bites, one of which was in his eye. The management's response was, "It's certainly my contractor who brought them in with him..." Putting aside the inappropriate humor, I think this establishment should be avoided at all costs; it has absolutely no respect for its customers or for hygiene.

14/10/2026: It's time to get our act together, guys. Nothing's right at this Flunch anymore. The floor's dirty, the food takes forever to come out of the kitchen, sometimes there's no sauce, and the waiter touches my fish and chips with his bare hands. Basically, bring back the chef from Flunch V2 in Lille to sort things out.

26/09/2026: A 20-minute wait to leave without a coffee being served, even though there were four people there eating hot dogs and crepes. Very poor organization.

04/09/2026: The chef is very dedicated to his work, managing his servers well. The pizza was perfectly soft. The pepperoni pizza was generously topped.

15/08/2026: Disappointed customer, a long-time client of yours, but on the phone you can't ask a question without being mocked. No worries, I won't be ordering from you again, thank you and good luck.

03/10/2025: This place is currently closed due to a fire burning down the building on the 26th September. I don't forsee this reopening soon

19/09/2025: Food mediocre, not quite warm. "Mistake" at the checkout: paid 20 euros too much. Didn't get a receipt. Got the money back after asking.
