16/08/2026: A charming place with its breakfast room carved into the stone. A warm welcome from Eric, who gave excellent advice on places to visit around the Priory and good restaurants. A calm and peaceful location.

14/08/2026: Eric was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Anthony and his wife also gave us a warm welcome. We had a wonderful holiday. I recommend going there.

19/08/2026: At 1:20 PM, around 38/40 degrees, with practically the entire town closed for holidays and renovations, the only place open where you can get refreshments and they tell you no that service is finished and they don't even give you a toast, there must have been 15/20 people all eating or waiting for something... judging by the girl's age, she had probably worked too much and no longer felt like serving... congratulations above all for the manners and the service, long live tourism!

02/08/2026: Great bar, really inexpensive, with a shaded terrace. The waiter was super cool and professional; we had a great time. I recommend it if you're visiting the flea market or the regular market. Visited in August 2026

06/09/2026: We ate there on a Saturday at lunchtime and thoroughly enjoyed our meal 😋 The servers were very friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I highly recommend this place; you won't be disappointed 👍

01/09/2026: I don't know where to begin, there's so much to say. Regarding the food, you could make the effort to source your ingredients from METRO in Alès, or at least use local products instead of your inedible, low-priced items. It's a disgrace for a restaurant like this. In 2022, you had a turnover of €621,800, and you're not capable of providing good products to your customers? It's an absolute disgrace. Your daily special is awful. You cook food with shabby, dirty utensils; it's disastrous. Seating for lunch is fairly quick, as is taking orders. The servers are very pleasant, which is what saves the restaurant. I don't know how they manage to stay open; I take my hat off to them for not giving up. The music wasn't up to par, but thankfully the servers were very friendly, making it easy to chat. Children running around the restaurant at lunchtime was overwhelming. Perhaps someone should tell the person in charge that children shouldn't be in the workplace? Sir/Madam, I urge you to reconsider the state of your restaurant. Sincerely,

15/09/2026: A wide selection of very well-prepared dishes, the "Chef's Menu" is currently €19.90 (starter, main course + dessert). Friendly staff, a welcoming owner Monsieur Robert, a pleasant place in every respect. We'll gladly return, as we do almost every year 🤗😋

15/08/2026: Been there yesterday, August, 15th 2026. Google maps said it would be open, Facebook Site of the owner said it would be open, but it was closed, empty and the pool dry.

27/09/2026: The staff are perverse and make inappropriate remarks to minors, often with persistent staring. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant.

20/05/2026: A very pleasant place with a shaded terrace. Attentive staff, a menu to suit all tastes with fresh produce. Reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

18/05/2026: Horrible! We went to eat there on a Monday because everything around was closed... A disaster! My son and I were sick all afternoon after eating a pizza. It must have been thawed incorrectly... A disaster, never again!

27/08/2026: We bought strawberry and raspberry tart there and it was pretty mediocre. Baguette was ok,nothing special.

09/08/2026: I bought two long chocolate-filled doughnuts, took one bite, and spat it out. It tasted old and inedible, so I threw it away.

06/09/2026: The pastries are quite good, but the service is subpar. When will you finally address all the comments that point out the same problem? You would be doing your establishment a favor.

16/08/2026: I don't understand! I asked for a well-baked fougasse, but no, they gave me an underbaked one! And there were some well-baked ones available! Why do your saleswomen do whatever they want?! This isn't the first time. Isn't customer satisfaction your priority?

12/06/2026: Zero hygiene and the service is nonexistent. I don't know how such a bakery can still be open; it's shameful.

09/06/2026: Week of June 1st to 5th, 2026 Too few employees (one or two at most) around 1 p.m., so too many people were waiting for food! I had to go to another Marie Blachère to get served more quickly for my meal.

22/08/2026: If you order several boxes of cakes, you're charged €1 for each additional box??? Furthermore, I work across from the Fauchon bakery in Paris, it's not the same at all... and a single price for each pastry??? How do you explain that, given that a coffee éclair and a cake on a mousse base don't take the same amount of time to make? I don't understand the price of the flan or a cream puff, or the other items... not to mention that the sales assistant just waits to ring you up without checking with the sales manager. The wait is really long. Anyway, in Paris... The customer is king, and customer service is important. Best of luck.

01/08/2026: I just went there at 12:40 PM and honestly, the store was spotless. It smells so fresh when you walk in, the air conditioning is really powerful. The window display and the store itself are super well organized. The young man who served us was also patient and kind. The selection of meat was truly magnificent, I'm not exaggerating because I'd been looking for a good butcher shop for a week and I visited several, and as soon as you walk in, the smell was awful. So if you're passing through like we were, go there without hesitation. Oh yes, I almost forgot, the reviews are completely unrelated to reality, I don't really understand...
