10/10/2026: I specifically decided to book this hotel after a very good experience two years ago. However, this time it's completely different. The room is nothing like the one we had two years ago; this time the room is filthy: dust, peeling wallpaper, detached window frames, damaged furniture, and an absolutely revolting smell. Sewage is backing up, and the room clearly wasn't aired out before our arrival. The TV isn't plugged in, and the remote control is nowhere to be found. In short, for €105 a night, I find this unacceptable. I've never been so disappointed with a hotel room.

03/10/2026: We arrived at 11:45, right in the middle of the Côtelettes fair... the terrace was already packed... so it was more like pre-service. We asked for a table for two and the waitress replied: "I'm going to have a coffee and a cigarette first"... we left at 11:54! Appalling...

27/07/2026: The service was very poor… And on top of that, they forgot four pastries for me. It's a shame because I don't like leaving bad reviews.

30/08/2026: We had pizza and pasta, we ate very well, we only saw one cook, the dishes still came out quite quickly, the waiter was very nice, despite the fast pace.

23/08/2026: The wait time was far too long. This opinion was clearly shared by many customers seated around us. Especially when you see the cashier continuing to take takeout orders even though the restaurant was packed. The pizzas, once they arrived, were decent despite a very hard crust. However, a big shout-out to the only two servers who were there for the entire restaurant (???) and who were working at a pace similar to the runners of the GRP... they were like machines, thankfully they were doing their best to keep the service running.

19/09/2026: Disappointed with the meal. I received the mustard at the end of the meal. I also received the drink at the end of the meal. The leg of lamb was very fatty. Furthermore, the owner's smile was missing. The staff were very smiley. No, I will not be returning. Mr. Dupuis.

30/08/2026: We waited over 30 minutes to get a broken machine working again. There was no one at the bar to serve drinks. Absolutely appalling service!

30/08/2026: If you want to waste your time on a broken machine, come to this casino. Under the pretext that the staff is on break, nobody comes to help you. I had to wait 20 minutes in front of that machine before the manager arrived.

22/06/2026: A very warm welcome, perfectly suited to our schedule. The quadruple room was perfect, and the breakfast was excellent. Excellent value for money. The owner was very kind. I highly recommend it.

12/05/2026: The good points: The rooms are spacious and pleasant. The billiard room is open 24/7. The bad points: The staff is unfriendly. There was no heating in the room (it was 2 degrees Celsius at night), we were very cold.

10/05/2026: The food was awful, absolutely nothing Italian about it; aside from the obviously local products, the recipes had nothing to do with Italy. We were staying at the hotel, otherwise we would never have entered the restaurant (in Lourdes, the food is French, not pseudo-Italian). Unfortunately, we ordered a pizza diavola, a carpet of flour with horrible-tasting salami cubes; then we ordered a veal cutlet, which was nothing but veal cutlet, the meat edible, but we certainly weren't expecting that shoe sole; we ordered bread with fromage de chevre: cold cheese and warm salad, all smothered in bread. We also ordered the vegetable puree, which at least was decently good. The service is beyond reproach; the waiter didn't even know what we'd ordered. It's fine not to speak Italian, of course, but we at least expected him to explain, in French, what was on the plate, which we couldn't make out from the menu. Prices were normal, but definitely not worthy of what we ate.

27/08/2026: Quick, tasty, and makes a pretty good dinner

20/08/2026: Homemade pizza dough and it's delicious! Don't pay attention to some of the negative reviews. We first stopped by this pizzeria to pick up a menu (be sure to check out the pizza of the month), and then, while browsing the Saint-Lary night market, we ordered three pizzas: ready in 30 minutes. The chef's pizza 🥰 The mountain pizza was exquisite, and the goat cheese pizza 👍 The only slight downside was that they forgot to cut the pizzas, but it wasn't a big deal. There's no dine-in service, but that wasn't what we were looking for.

13/07/2026: In my opinion, La Maison D'Hoursetut took advantage of the fact it was our first time to come for the Tour de France stage on the iconic Col du Tourmalet. Short version: They advised us of the wrong time to arrive by car before the road closures, so we couldn't go up the mountain to see the stage there and they wouldn't give us a refund (no cancellations policy). Long version: Months in advance, we confirmed a few times with the hotel via email that our arrival time would be noon (specifically based on their advice), however, the very first police officer we drove up to said the road is closed. This is at 11:30. When I contacted the hotel they said they gave us the info they had at the time and that the gendarmerie moved up the time last minute. I've watched the Tour on TV go thru this route several times over the years and all of it is planned months in advance, so I didn't believe him and my instinct was confirmed the next day when I found an official printed flier from the stage that said the roads close at 10 for the Caravan. Each stage location has its own website with road closure info and for the life of me I couldn't find one for this stage from San Francisco, which is why I asked the hotel - because they should be experts on guests arriving for the Tour. I'm not going to make you re-live the long exchange of emails back and forth between me and the hotel, but I hope anyone who is considering them for the Tour either STAYS AWAY, or else does not count on them for anything. I believe they knew what they were doing with my reservation misdirection and I absolutely believe they kept our money and then sold our room again to one of the thousands of people on the mountain. Unethical.
