10/11/2025: Very disappointed with this restaurant. The wait was incredibly long: we arrived around 12:30 pm and were only served one course at 1:45 pm. And even then, we were the first on the terrace to get our food; other customers who arrived before or at the same time as us still hadn't received anything after an hour and a half. Items listed on the menu weren't available (Camembert). We chose the trout, which was a huge disappointment because the menu stated "whole trout" for €22.50, but we were served a small fillet (see photo). The draft beer was lukewarm because it was served too late. The waiter, clearly overwhelmed, forgot orders and didn't give us cutlery. The only positive point was that the lamb chops were very good, but they were served with overcooked fries.

10/11/2025: We waited two hours just for drinks... we left before we'd even eaten. Avoid at all costs!

29/07/2026: We were served by Fréderic on this occasion of multiple visits. Amazing service, he was so funny and kind. Usually it would be loud but today we went earlier so it was quiet. Fréderic upholds the restaurant's values and exceptionally represents them! Lubi is also an amazing server. Paella is a must-try.

16/06/2026: A true gem in Vic! Everything is absolutely fresh and homemade, you can taste it from the first bite. The dishes are generous, flavorful, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The cuisine is truly gourmet, with perfectly balanced flavors and elegant presentation. A huge thank you also to the waitress, who was lovely, always smiling, and attentive from beginning to end of the meal. Her professionalism and kindness made the experience even more enjoyable. I recommend this place without hesitation. We will definitely be back!

03/06/2026: The reception is clearly unprofessional: you often feel condescending and like you don't really have a choice; everything is imposed on you with a "this or nothing" approach. Breakfast is very limited: no buffet, you have to ask for what you want, and service ends as early as 9:00 a.m. The same is true for dinner, served no later than 8:30 p.m., sometimes giving the impression that you're intruding by arriving at this otherwise reasonable hour. The food is generally disappointing: small portions, poorly seasoned dishes, and nothing special. As for the room, cleanliness leaves much to be desired: the toilet was used before our arrival without being flushed, there was very little toilet paper, and the cleaning was inadequate. Several spiders were present in the room and even on the bed. After the night, I developed itchy arms, which raises serious questions about the condition and hygiene of the bedding. An experience I will not repeat. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

19/05/2026: We had a very pleasant stay at Hôtel Solitude during our visit to Lourdes. The hotel is conveniently located near the Lourdes Sanctuary, which made it very easy for us to attend the various activities and return to rest during the day. A special mention goes to Vanessa at the front desk, who was always warm, welcoming, and served us with a smile. She gave us excellent suggestions on things to do around the area and was consistently helpful throughout our stay. We always looked forward to seeing her when we returned to the hotel each night because of how friendly and genuine she was. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Both the breakfast and dinner were quite good and we enjoyed the meals provided during our stay. There was a minor issue with the hot water in the bathroom, as the shower temperature required fairly fine adjustment to avoid the water becoming too hot too quickly. However, this was manageable and did not significantly affect our overall experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lourdes.

15/08/2026: First time I've ordered lemonade in a café and been served a full glass instead of a can or small bottle. So I asked them what kind of lemonade it was, and they wouldn't let me see. A dubious cost-cutting tactic.

23/08/2026: They refused to serve us water even though we had ordered €30 worth of drinks. "It was on management orders," according to the waiter. As for the ethical and legal aspects of this, we'll pass... but definitely not in this bar.

23/08/2026: It's a shame the manager on Sunday evenings is so unpleasant. It makes you think her whole team is like that. But having been there at another time, that's not the case.

15/03/2026: This family-run hotel offers simple but delicious cuisine. At €40 for half-board, this hotel, with its admittedly dated but clean and functional rooms, offers unbeatable value for money. I've been going there for 30 years and I'm still just as satisfied. The thermal baths are a stone's throw from the hotel, as is the ski bus to the Barèges resort (it runs every 15 minutes). No need to use your car all week. I sincerely recommend it.

24/02/2026: A friend was told to vacate her room at 10:30 am under the pretext that the next guests had arrived. Normally, a paid room shouldn't be vacated until noon. What's more, they took her as soon as she got out of bed. To console herself, she had breakfast at a café across the street where she was given a warm welcome!

14/08/2026: A very bad experience at Luigi's restaurant. We had reserved a specific table at a specific time, a reservation duly noted by the waiter, in our name. Upon arrival, no table was supposedly reserved for us. After insisting, we finally found our name... But the table had been given to other people... The woman who greeted us was unhelpful and barely polite. She simply suggested we go to the restaurant next door or come back in an hour... A real lack of respect for customers. When you make a reservation, you simply expect it to be honored. Very disappointed, we will not be returning. We eventually found another very good restaurant, where we were greeted with genuine smiles.

14/08/2026: Carbonara pizza with a hard-boiled yolk, tasteless lasagna, and the owner asking if we were being served but not listening to our answer. All this with a 35-minute wait. Never again.

17/02/2026: Customers for 40 years, we are light years away from the early days: Regarding the royal couscous: Only one skewer instead of two, filled with four tiny pieces of meat instead of the five or six large ones we used to have. Semolina is served in an open dish, not a closed tagine that retains heat. Vegetable couscous is served alongside the royal couscous, which is meant to be shared, but the entire portion is for one person, not two. The dining room is very cold, portable heaters (gas cylinders) are prohibited, and the overall heating is woefully inadequate. General cleanliness leaves much to be desired.

27/12/2025: Simply delicious :) The tagine and couscous were just like homemade. I ate there and now I regularly order delivery. Thank you also for your kindness. I highly recommend this establishment.

24/08/2026: Disappointed with the food we ordered. Very poor quality. The price/quality ratio is not fair. I will definitely not come back to eat there. However, having a drink there is fine.

22/08/2026: Not many options for enjoying a terrace this Saturday in August. We discovered this bar with its worn-out furniture, sticky tables (no one wipes them down between customers), and a waitress who kept mixing up tables. The amber Eguzki beer was decent, but the sangria was undrinkable. Even the saucer with the bill was sticky. Given the hygiene, I won't be eating there.

13/07/2026: In my opinion, La Maison D'Hoursetut took advantage of the fact it was our first time to come for the Tour de France stage on the iconic Col du Tourmalet. Short version: They advised us of the wrong time to arrive by car before the road closures, so we couldn't go up the mountain to see the stage there and they wouldn't give us a refund (no cancellations policy). Long version: Months in advance, we confirmed a few times with the hotel via email that our arrival time would be noon (specifically based on their advice), however, the very first police officer we drove up to said the road is closed. This is at 11:30. When I contacted the hotel they said they gave us the info they had at the time and that the gendarmerie moved up the time last minute. I've watched the Tour on TV go thru this route several times over the years and all of it is planned months in advance, so I didn't believe him and my instinct was confirmed the next day when I found an official printed flier from the stage that said the roads close at 10 for the Caravan. Each stage location has its own website with road closure info and for the life of me I couldn't find one for this stage from San Francisco, which is why I asked the hotel - because they should be experts on guests arriving for the Tour. I'm not going to make you re-live the long exchange of emails back and forth between me and the hotel, but I hope anyone who is considering them for the Tour either STAYS AWAY, or else does not count on them for anything. I believe they knew what they were doing with my reservation misdirection and I absolutely believe they kept our money and then sold our room again to one of the thousands of people on the mountain. Unethical.

11/07/2026: The owners are very friendly and the pizzas are good; my only complaint is that there's no ventilation and the atmosphere gets a bit stuffy.
