21/07/2024: It's not easy in St Malo, especially here on the city walls, to find a restaurant away from tourist food. The Fidelis is a pleasant exception here. If you're looking for visually appealing dishes, you've come to the right place. We chose a menu and were not disappointed. Plus attractive wines and good service. We can recommend Fidelis to anyone who wants to eat well.

17/09/2024: From the moment we entered the restaurant, greeted by a delightful waiter the experience was fantastic. I ordered a rose but couldn’t decide which to have , the owner brought two to sample which wasn’t an issue . We got little fish cakes as a complementary starter . Home made and delicious. The staff and owner are so lovely , giving information on local products . I had Fish & chips .. the fish was beautiful the salad fresh and veg just superb . My partner had the Steak and chips which he said was the best he’d had in a long time. We eat slog out on our travels in France as we also have a home here . Definitely a restaurant that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.. thank you

07/09/2024: We arrived without reservation at 12.20 and were lucky to get the last table in this very popular restaurant, very conveniently located on our journey south from Roscoff.. The lunch was delicious and served with great charm by our lovely waiter. I really enjoyed the steak frites and the crème brûlée which followed, well I would go back for that alone :) Also worth noting that we enjoyed great value for money here, €53 for two courses each, one glass of wine and a bottle of mineral water. Et merci pour le petit cadeau, a little pineapple rum :) Highly recommended, advise to book ahead.

29/08/2024: A very small restaurant that we tried with my partner and our 6 year old daughter because the Google reviews were good and frankly we had a great time!! I had the rougail with Breton sausage, we lick the plate because it's so excellent, the super friendly staff I recommend +++ we plan to come back next year to the corners of Saint Malo, we won't miss come back and eat there, thank you to the whole team 😊

26/08/2024: Great discovery of this quiet little restaurant! The dishes are homemade, which is rare these days! We had a pollock casserole and a sirloin grilled to perfection. Special mention to the Camembert sauce! Very good friendly welcome from the staff. We highly recommend!

26/09/2024: We chances our arm for dinner at Le Genty Home and boy, were we glad we did! It’s a gorgeous setting with plenty of space between tables and a lovely, welcoming host, Chantal. The ambience was great, and then came the food which was superb! We went for the Chef’s Menu, and each dish was a delight. From the white fish starter, to the beautifully cooked veal, and accompanying veg, to the featherlight dessert of puff pastry, vanilla cream and mirabelles. At a cost of €36 a head, this was truly outstanding value. Chantal also recommended a pinot noir which went with the fish and the veal, so if you’re unsure of your wine selection, make sure to seek her advice! I’d absolutely recommend Le Genty Home, so much so, we’re going to try and get back in before heading home to Ireland.

14/09/2024: We spent a pleasant evening away from intra muros! The food is good and the servers very friendly. We discovered the restaurant by chance and we are very happy with it. We recommend! The desserts are very delicious.

05/09/2024: C'est un bel endroit avec une belle cheminée. L'accueil est agréable, le menu propose des plats fait maison de très belle qualité ( saumon fumé maison délicieux, saint jacques, filet de bœuf, poisson de le pêche....). Les vins proposés sont adaptés et sont très raisonnable en prix. C'est un restaurant qui fait honneur à la cuisine française. A noter à mon sens que ce n'est peut-être pas un endroit à recommander par manque de place aux enfants qui ont besoin de bouger.
