15/05/2026: A wonderful evening spent with Renée, who seemed to be a regular (and we can see why 😊), the incredibly welcoming and kind chef, and his adorable apprentice. The cuisine was refined and subtle, the ingredients ultra-fresh, and the service impeccable. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

12/05/2026: A wonderful discovery! We were delighted with this little restaurant, which offers quality homemade cuisine in a very pleasant setting. The owner is lovely. The service is very quick. Perfect for a lunch break! We were won over and have already planned our return. 🤩

26/03/2026: One point deducted for two reasons. The fondue arrived halfway through our aperitif. The amount of cheese in the fondue was a bit skimpy.

02/04/2026: Looking for a 4-day solo getaway without a car at the end of March, I found the perfect hotel: - very well located: all shops, cinema, and bus station are less than a 5-minute walk away; hiking trails start from a 10-minute walk. - half-board or full-board options available (perfect after hiking); - simple hotel and rooms (hence the attractive price) but it has everything you need; - the best part: attentive owners and a friendly, family atmosphere

14/04/2026: I want to apologize for yesterday. I was the one singing on the terrace, and I apologize if the songs were disturbing. The bartenders weren't responsible and asked us several times to stop, which we didn't. They did their job very well; it's simply that we didn't respect their requests.

13/04/2026: I just left that bar and I'll never be seen there again, even though I'm a regular. On the terrace, a group of 8 to 10 people started chanting homophobic songs, eventually singing "Marc Dutrou is innocent, the liars are the children," and "the children under the terrace and the woman under the terrace," referring to Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès. A waiter from the bar was singing with them. We reported this to the other waiters, but they weren't bothered and didn't ask them to leave.

05/04/2026: A great choice for a break between Alsace and the south, as it's conveniently located halfway. The key box system for late arrivals works very well. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was very generous and varied. The Moroccan pancakes with orange blossom and honey were delicious. We were able to get gluten-free bread upon request. Djamel is very friendly, attentive, and caring. The same goes for the lady on the phone. A very good place to stay.

10/03/2026: We were very disappointed by the food at this Moroccan restaurant, despite its many positive recommendations. My husband's couscous was bland and lacked spices—and I'm not even talking about the harissa—while my three-vegetable tagine was overcooked—the meat was falling apart and the vegetables were practically mush. Even the mint tea tasted like nothing more than sweetened minty water! It's a far cry from Marrakech, despite the decor's attempts to evoke it, unfortunately...

18/04/2026: Following your response: I would like to clarify that I was not aggressive from the outset. The situation escalated after your inappropriate personal remark. The wait was much longer than 10 minutes, with 3 to 5 customers who arrived after me being served before me. A simple apology would have sufficed. —————————————————————— I came for a takeaway pizza. After paying by card, the order was simply forgotten. After a long wait, I saw customers who arrived after me being served before me. When I pointed this out, explaining that my daughter was waiting for me alone at home, I was told that "mistakes happen" and that I shouldn't have left her alone. No apology, no professionalism, and on top of that, an inappropriate remark. Unacceptable service.

15/05/2026: Passing through during our motorcycle trip, we stopped for the night. We chose this restaurant by chance. A superb evening! I love it when the owners come to share their story, how they prepare their dishes, and guide us through the menu. A wonderful moment of sharing, both on and around the plate. Thank you!

13/12/2025: Go for it! Delicious, complete meals, healthy cuisine, only good ingredients, I'm blown away by the quality at such low prices! The Asian staff are very pleasant and attentive, the upstairs dining room is welcoming, I've been three times and have never been disappointed!

08/03/2026: What a delightful surprise this charming restaurant was, tucked away in a rather dreary cul-de-sac! The welcome is cheerful and warm, the decor a clever, slightly kitschy blend of seaside and mountain themes, and the lighting is perfectly balanced to allow you to admire what's arriving on your plate. The menu is extensive, inventive, and promising. This is confirmed when the dishes are served: everything is fresh, beautiful, flavorful, and served without delay. We enjoyed the langoustines and the confit lamb in a pastry crust, which we chose as starters (both generous portions), and then we savored the hake with sorrel and confit potatoes, as well as the fish quenelle with shellfish jus. The desserts are excellent, with a special mention for the caramelized apples and meringue, a reimagined version of the common floating island found elsewhere. Very reasonable prices again (76 euros for two, starter-main-dessert plus two half-pints of Leffe) when compared to what the other tourist trap restaurants in Villard dare to charge for over-prepared and soulless food. An original and welcoming place that makes you want to return very soon with friends! Thank you, Mr. Charentais. 😊

12/01/2026: What a delight this little restaurant is! Finally, something other than "mountain" fare. Everything was new to us: lamb confit with morels in a pastry crust, oysters and scallops with parsley sauce, suckling pig offal stew, Charentais-style chowder, mashed potatoes with cabbage... A true delight, and served with a smile, too! Good value for money. Highly recommended!
