23/04/2026: Blois, the first stop on the May road trip along the Loire. The place isn't anything special, but it's a real eye-catcher from the outside. 😘 Inside, the food is amazing - steaks, snails, and steak tartare... First-class steaks! Being in France and not trying snails? Everyone should definitely try it! Baked veal sweetbreads - yum, what a texture! Soft, velvety meat. You can tell they've perfected it. So delicious, it's a shame to skip dessert. Don't judge a book by its cover. You could easily pass by this place and just ignore it.

16/05/2026: I had a wonderful 5-day stay at this hotel. A huge thank you to the entire team for their unfailing kindness and friendliness: from the reception to the service, everyone was exceptionally friendly and attentive to the guests' needs. The restaurant offers simple cuisine of very high quality and truly excellent. My room was clean and a good size, and I slept very well. It's a place where you immediately feel at home!

18/03/2026: We had a fantastic weekend at the Relais des Landes, which we booked exclusively for a large family birthday celebration. Everything was perfect, and the team clearly has experience managing this type of event. The hotel is charming, the rooms are spacious, and the dinner was delicious. Our guests echoed this sentiment throughout the weekend. A huge thank you to Sophie and Stéphane!

11/01/2026: We chose the Relais des Landes for its ideal location near the Loire Valley châteaux, for the image conveyed by its website—promising a relaxing setting—and for the advertised New Year's Eve dinner by a fireplace, in the romantic style typical of the region. The welcome was excellent, courteous, and professional, and we thanked the reception staff for it. However, when asked if our stay had gone well, we felt it necessary to be honest. Having regularly stayed in 4-star hotels, we must say that this establishment falls short of their standard and services, and that the value for money is, as it stands, very disappointing. The room was a real disappointment: aging in every way, with a damaged bed frame, a basic bedside table (a simple plank set into the wall), a very old television, and dated, incoherent decor—even a picture containing… the room's wallpaper. The bathroom was small and lacked the amenities and attention to detail expected in a hotel of this category (old hairdryer, etc.). The housekeeping also left much to be desired: visible dust (dust bunnies under the bed), a dusty remote control, and after the first night, a barely made bed—the duvet simply pulled up—which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. Without having pre-booked dinner for December 31st, we would have left the hotel before even settling in, and we seriously considered it. However, the staff were kind enough to place our table near the fireplace for New Year's Eve, which convinced us to stay. We had initially planned to spend the afternoon of the 31st at the hotel to relax and enjoy the facilities, but given the room, we decided against the offered massage and opted to visit the spa at another establishment. Upon our return, we witnessed a public and offensive reprimand directed at a member of the reception staff by someone in charge of preparing the dinner seating plan—a particularly inappropriate scene in front of the other guests. Regarding the New Year's Eve dinner: while the setting was undeniably pleasant, the food itself fell short of expectations, lacking finesse. Fortunately, the service staff were very attentive and greatly contributed to making the experience more enjoyable. Breakfast also proved to be below the expected standard for a 4-star hotel. Without reiterating the arguments already extensively raised in the establishment's responses to other reviews (local cheeses, etc.), it is nonetheless difficult to justify refilling a jar of jam that was already empty the day before. In short, a very disappointing stay—especially for a honeymoon—with a price-quality ratio that clearly did not meet expectations. We would nevertheless like to warmly thank the gentleman at reception for his availability and responsiveness, the young woman who served us at dinner on the 31st, as well as the gentleman—presumably the owner—for his professionalism during service and his commendable knowledge of the wines offered. However, a thorough reassessment seems necessary for the future of this establishment, and we believe that carefully listening to customer feedback—particularly from those familiar with upscale hotels—would be beneficial.

09/05/2026: We ate here in the evening... great atmosphere on the terrace in the garden... the 3-course menu was superb... and at a very reasonable price (€36)... highly recommended.

06/05/2026: We spent one night there, had dinner, and breakfast. The location is excellent, with parking right in front. The service was attentive, and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Dinner was simple but well-prepared, and breakfast was very good.

24/05/2026: Very disappointing. Takeout order. Pizzas were very sparsely topped and lacked any real flavor. On top of that, they were delayed by 20 minutes, with no apology or compensation offered.

10/05/2026: The service was quite pleasant, but the chef's sense of humor needs improvement. No one will laugh at your racist jokes, like, "Ask the Chinese if they don't want Cantonese rice." If you're a person of color, avoid this place. Of course, he won't dare respond to this comment, like the coward he is.

04/05/2026: A very warm and friendly welcome. Delicious cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. I recommend the terrace with its shady trees that provide welcome coolness in the summer.

03/05/2026: We arrived yesterday after visiting the castle (around 1 p.m.) and wanted to have a bite to eat. The owner clearly saw that we were waiting patiently (as indicated on the sign at the entrance to the terrace: "no seating"). However, aside from sighing (and it was quite obvious), she never once deigned to look up at us (perhaps thinking we were becoming invisible?) or come over to at least let us know that service was (perhaps?) over (which would have been perfectly understandable given the time). We waited a long time, and at no point did the owner or the waitress bother to come over for even a few seconds to say anything to us. When there's no longer any reason to serve customers, either you should indicate it on the sign or you should approach people to tell them (so far, so good). Based on the other comments regarding the owner's mood and temperament, it's clear I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Madam, if you don't know how to welcome guests, you shouldn't be in this business.

09/06/2026: One Monday at lunchtime, we spotted grilled octopus on the menu, and my wife and I didn't hesitate! And we were right to do so, as our stomachs thanked us for this delicious meal! A carafe of local white wine complemented the lunch, and a gourmet coffee provided a sweet ending! We'll be back!!

17/05/2026: We came to this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday evening. The setting is very pleasant and welcoming. However, we opted for the €42 set menu, which included a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert, all served in a mere 1 hour and 15 minutes, including an aperitif. The main course was very generous, but the presentation needs improvement (the potato was wrapped in rather rough foil, and the cheese was cut on a completely unsuitable platter). The chocolate fondant wasn't really a fondant at all, but rather a very hard chocolate tart that was difficult to cut.

The rustic setting is very pleasant, the menus are varied, and the quality of the food served is excellent—nothing to complain about. The dining room is quiet. Large parking lot

16/05/2026: A very warm welcome; everyone is extremely kind, from reception to the restaurant and breakfast, and they offer helpful advice. The inn is very quiet, and the good restaurant is attentive to guests' needs. My daughter has food allergies, and they immediately offered an alternative. The beautiful English garden, along with the availability of foosball, ping pong, and badminton, is a real bonus. I only gave the rooms 3 stars because we stayed in the annex, and both rooms could use some updating (stained walls and floor), so they weren't very clean, and the pillows need replacing. There was a lot of condensation in the bathroom, but no mold, so the room was still clean. However, the bedding was very comfortable, with immaculate white sheets. Free parking is available. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay at this quiet inn again, where we felt right at home. A big thank you to everyone! 😀

07/01/2026: Very good. A pleasant bar right in the center of Vendôme, with a friendly atmosphere and a nice terrace for relaxing. The service is good and the place is ideal for having a drink with friends or taking a break. A simple and effective place that I recommend.
