14/03/2026: No, but excuse me!... Pastries with a capital P! I'm a huge pastry lover, and in Orléans, these are the best, without a doubt!! Incredible, well done!

14/03/2026: A superb tea room where we often come for afternoon tea on Saturdays. The cakes are extraordinary. The best lemon tart I've ever eaten. Everything is excellent, a true pastry shop, the likes of which are becoming rare. My favorites are the squirrel, the Paris-Brest, and of course, the lemon tart.

16/05/2026: I went by yesterday at 12:45 AM and the drive-through was already closed, so it wasn't open until 1 AM.

15/05/2026: We found a piece of paper in one of the burgers; we went on May 15, 2026, late afternoon. It's really a shame. Also, very expensive for what's served.

04/05/2026: A wonderful restaurant run entirely by a very kind couple. The chef is passionate, and it shows. The dishes are generous and made with love, and the wife is always incredibly welcoming. It can often be very busy, so reservations are recommended, especially in the evening. Since the wife manages the dining room and all the customers single-handedly, there may sometimes be a long wait, but you can be sure of a delicious meal if you're patient.

The dishes were absolutely delicious, made with high-quality ingredients and presented with great care. The atmosphere is friendly, the setting is magnificent, and you can really feel the passion behind this place. It's the kind of place you'd like to keep secret… but it clearly deserves to be much more widely known. Thank you again for this superb experience; we will gladly return and will recommend this restaurant to everyone we know without hesitation!

29/05/2026: We received a warm welcome and the service was friendly. The food was good quality and plentiful. There were two minor issues during our meal. While nothing serious, I would have appreciated a small gesture at the end, such as a complimentary coffee. Nevertheless, it's a good restaurant in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire.

01/06/2026: The menu is very attractive and varied, with something for every taste, appetite, and budget. The dishes are beautifully presented and the ingredients are of good quality. The terrace is lovely on sunny days, and the waitress is very friendly with quick and impeccable service. In fact, all the staff are very welcoming. The dessert menu is fantastic, with a selection of pistachio desserts that I absolutely love!

30/03/2026: The Scala restaurant in Pithiviers is an institution, part of the town's history, and has been there for over 38 years. The Scala, which has never once been a problem for me (people of Pithiviers), has wanted to sell for ages. The staff (the owner) are tired of the environment and the shop next door. They say it every day: "We can't take the shop or the people around the Scala anymore." Isn't it time for the Scala, after so many years, to retire?

01/07/2026: Coming from the South and looking for a small restaurant for lunch, we stopped at La Taverne de L'Écluse, hoping to find a friendly little village restaurant. The prices are attractive, with a set menu for €18 including: a starter (buffet), a main course, a cheese "buffet," and finally dessert. The setting is pleasant, with the lock right next to the restaurant. Let's start with the starter, which is a buffet: there were only a few options, some cold and hard pieces of omelet, unappealing beets, tasteless tabbouleh, and pieces of stale ham. "No big deal," I thought, "a buffet isn't representative of what follows..." Well, actually, it is. I ordered a piece of beef (which was an extra €3) and my partner had beef tartare. My piece of beef came with a salad dressed with a barbecue sauce the size of a palm of my hand. The meat was just as tiny. The sauce (which we probably paid extra for?) was tasteless; I didn't even recognize what it was. The meat itself, however, was good. There were also fries on the side, but of course, they were frozen. My partner chose steak tartare with a small amount of béarnaise sauce, served without salad or any garnish, presented like something from a cheap cafeteria, and also with frozen fries. No sauce was available on the table for the fries; it had all been left on the buffet. As for the tartare, it was barely seasoned and tasteless. A table was eating next to us, and a woman offered to share her salad with her neighbors since no one else had any on their plates. Now, let's talk about the cheese buffet: well, it was the same as the appetizer buffet, with three cheeses arranged haphazardly: blue cheese, Emmental (???), and some kind of Camembert. This wasn't the cheese buffet I'd imagined; it was more like a selection of three industrial cheeses, cut into small pieces and piled in a bowl. And finally, dessert: a frozen apple-raspberry tart, frozen whipped cream (we burst out laughing at the sight of the tart, that's how bad it was...) and a "gourmet" coffee, an extra €1, accompanied by non-homemade ice cream and a small piece of pound cake with caramel on top. Despite all this, I must say the owner was friendly. However, offering something like this to customers is bordering on disrespectful. Making homemade fries costs next to nothing except a little more time. For three of us, it came to €71. Avoid this place if you're looking for homemade or local cuisine. Stop here only if you like the canteen and industrial style.

18/06/2026: Very good restaurant, good quality products, fast service. A minor drawback was the "café gourmand" which only came with a small tartlet, which I suspect wasn't homemade. But we'll still come back. A bit unreasonable.

12/06/2026: Mickey's Bar used to be great... What's going on? I ate inside... the service was incredibly slow, even though it wasn't full, and there wasn't much on the plate when you ordered the set menu. Luckily it tasted good, but still! I don't think I'll be going back. So disappointing.
