21/03/2026: A forgotten latte, and a lesson in disdain thrown in for good measure. We come regularly from the south of France, and Patapain is a place we genuinely appreciate in Orléans. We always enjoy stopping by—until this morning. The coffee machine was broken at 8:15 a.m. Fine, these things happen. Once it was fixed, my latte was ready, but no one brought it to me. I got up to fetch it myself and calmly mentioned that it was a shame—my family had finished breakfast a while ago. A young employee's response: "Well, if we could have done it differently, we would have, right?" I replied that it was still annoying. He said: "Yeah, too bad." Back at my table, I expressed my confusion to my family. He then added, from across the room: "Oh, come on, move on." That's when the problem ceased to be an oversight and became a serious mistake. I asked to speak to the manager. She responded promptly, apologized, and offered to give us some cream puffs. I politely declined. I didn't want a goodwill gesture. I wanted an apology from that employee. It never came. So yes, as he so aptly put it: what a shame. What a shame that a single employee, incapable of the slightest courtesy, is enough to tarnish the reputation of a business that deserves better than this.

06/03/2026: This was our very first time at this pizzeria. The welcome was very pleasant, the phone reservation went smoothly, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, there was no unnecessary waiting, and the value for money was excellent. We recommend it, but please don't change a thing!

28/02/2026: Very friendly and accommodating welcome as I arrived at the end of service. Good BBQ pizza. Ordinary dessert. The atmosphere was unremarkable. The service was efficient and friendly, both the waitress and the waiter! 👏👏👏

14/03/2026: A family meal for 26 people, we received a very warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from the aperitif to the dessert with coffee. 18/04/2026: Group lunch (15 people). Excellent food from start to finish. For my part: asparagus as a starter, pollock fillet with spelt risotto, followed by a chocolate fondant. Special mention to the pastry chef 👌🏽 I highly recommend it. The only slight downside: my husband ordered a glass of champagne at the end of the meal… which he never received.

19/11/2025: The drink costs 30 cents to buy and they're selling it for 2 euros. That's absolutely outrageous. The prices are exorbitant, and on top of that, the meat is poor quality. Frankly, it's theft disguised as business.

08/02/2026: Passing through the region for a weekend, I made a last-minute call for dinner. The welcome was very warm and the food was of very high quality.

28/12/2025: Passing through the region to visit the Château de Meung-sur-Loire, we were looking for a restaurant and chose "La Terrasse." We weren't disappointed with our choice. The upstairs dining room is relaxing and cozy, and the seating is comfortable. The pizzas were delicious, and the thin, crispy crust was excellent, not thick at all, as were the cocktails. 😋 The waiter was welcoming and friendly. I agree with some other online reviewers about the €3 salad bowl being an extra charge. P.S. As someone who loves to add chili to my pizza, I was disappointed by the unflavored oil.

07/03/2026: We arrived at opening time at 2:30 PM on March 7th and one of the employees ignored us. Despite a customer reminding him that we were waiting, he simply raised his hand and said, "No problem." Indeed, no problem, we won't be back. Thanks to his colleague who actually served us.

26/02/2026: Always a pleasure to have a glass of wine or Wishky beer.... Beer deposits are back, a wide selection to buy from, with knowledgeable staff who will give you good advice.

17/01/2026: Excellent meal: venison terrine, incredibly tender roast pork loin... all homemade. 🙂 Pleasant dining room and professional service. 🙂 Two set menus, two kirs, half a liter of a lovely Côtes-du-Rhône, a coffee for her and a cognac for him: 56 euros! 😄😱 At Au Chalet... it's absolutely delicious and exceptional value for money. 🙂 I highly recommend this wonderful place. 😃

22/11/2025: A very bad experience. We arrived at the bar during opening hours, with several customers clearly already inside. However, as soon as the manager saw us, she told us it was "closed." This attitude is incomprehensible and extremely unprofessional. We truly felt refused service for no valid reason. An establishment that treats customers this way makes you not want to return. Avoid it.

01/05/2026: Delicious and excellent dishes from appetizer to dessert. The wine was equally good. The welcome and service were relaxed, friendly, and pleasant. We had a very enjoyable time.

15/03/2026: A wonderful time spent with friends at the Auberge du Cerf: the food was excellent and plentiful; the pace of service was perfect for enjoying the moment; Lucie was very pleasant and always smiling! Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back.

11/04/2026: The food was excellent; the beef cheek bourguignon, the burger, and the duck breast were all superb. And the caramel French toast was exceptional. The service was quick and the waitress attentive; I highly recommend it.
