The food is generous, but basic fare that reflects the menu price. The owner is welcoming. Special menus are available for holidays at different prices. There's an outdoor terrace with about thirty seats, and the indoor dining room is of a similar size.

01/05/2026: We had a Wonderbox voucher. We stayed on April 29th. The owners were very welcoming. The dining room was dated and very dark. The evening meal was very average. The room was average.

29/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! We wanted to disconnect from Parisian life, and Annie and Patrick truly spoiled us this weekend. They took excellent care of us. The rooms were spotless. The cuisine was exceptional, featuring traditional gastronomy and truly local products. We will be back!!! Rosa and Claudio

15/06/2026: We had a very good meal. The ribeye steak was delicious. Despite the crowd, we had to wait a little while, but it was well worth it. I don't speak much French, but with gestures and Google Translate, we managed quite well. Magnificent view of the castle.

07/06/2026: Extremely disappointing meals for two €58 meals and three €48 meals. Starters: unpeeled asparagus. Main courses: undercooked fish (sent back to the kitchen), cold chicken (also sent back to the kitchen). Wait between courses: 3 hours for lunch. I complained to the restaurant staff: no compensation or apology. I strongly advise against going there.

11/05/2026: The bedrooms with camping beds... I didn't judge the mattresses well; they gave me back pain. Otherwise, everything was fine. But the island needs improvement: the entire kitchen (0/10). The wallpaper in the kitchen needs to be redone. The kitchen needs to be enlarged. It's nice to have sandalwood; it would be better to do something much nicer. Sandalwood would be much better for the dining room; it deserves a refresh. But I really enjoyed the whole stay (20/20). The kitchen should be enlarged towards the fireplace, creating something like an open window. That would be nice, please. Thank you very much. The bedrooms have no light; the exposed beams would be better.

17/05/2026: A wonderful experience and unbeatable value for money for this type of establishment. Tablecloths, silver cutlery, beautiful china, impeccable service, a gourmet atmosphere, and decor that might be a bit dated for some, but... that's what makes this restaurant so charming. The welcome is courteous, the service is professional, and the cuisine reflects the passion and desire to please the customers. A €20 lunch menu with an amuse-bouche, starter, main course, and dessert, all served with the same high standards as the rest of the menu, is definitely worth noting. This is a restaurant that's truly worth a visit and stands in stark contrast to some sterile chain restaurants that claim to be fine dining establishments. As for me, I'll be back soon... This is just my opinion.

01/07/2026: I agree with Lyn Hocine's comment... Those claiming "the best in town" are FAKE reviews. Tiny portions, dry sandwich and meat, not great taste... I don't recommend it and will never go back.

21/06/2026: Good kebab, hard to find in Orléans... the fries are clearly frozen and not homemade; you can see the plastic bag of fries in the kitchen --' The meat is good, not too salty, and the white sauce is homemade. The price of €9 with a drink is expensive considering it's a child's portion, but it's still cheaper than the rest!

21/06/2026: I had a kebab plate and the meat was very tender, the fries crispy—a real treat! I haven't had anything this good since 2024. I recommend this establishment in Gien; the service is very good.
