04/02/2026: The pizzas were large but without mozzarella; they were more like a flammekueche or a crème brûlée. I only ate the crust. Our main course arrived 1 to 2 minutes after our aperitif, with the peanuts still on the table... we didn't even have time to finish our drinks.

09/12/2025: I ate one of the best fish dishes of my life. The food was cleverly prepared with fresh ingredients. There was a slice of mandarin orange that added an exceptional flavor. I highly recommend it.

16/12/2025: Reservation for 12:15, okay. First drink, the waiter brings us glasses and a carafe of wine that we didn't order. Time passes, and I finally call the same waiter to place our order, 25 minutes after we arrived. More time passes, and the waiters apologize for the wait for the pizzas, which arrive at 1:15 PM, so an hour's wait for a simple pizza. And to top it all off, when it comes time to pay, I present my credit card and they don't even ask if I accept contactless payment. In short, instead of having a pleasant time with friends, I had a very bad time. It's not the same service and food quality as 15 years ago. What a shame.

12/09/2025: Go there with your eyes closed. We went there several times this summer, last night in fact, even at the end of the season, just like they are. A very good team, always friendly to their customers, the food is always very good and the dishes generous!! If you haven't been there, it's worth the detour. Very pleasant setting, beautiful decor, very business-like, really a good place, people who give their all to satisfy the customer. It's a shame that bad reviews lower the rating; they don't deserve that! Out of season, you can always order takeout. Good luck.

30/11/2025: ⭐ A wonderful time at "II Castello Pizza" in Maisse! We enjoyed delicious pizzas with a thin and flavorful crust, just the way we like them. The owner and his partner were friendly, welcoming, and truly lovely, which made the experience even better. We even got to exchange a few tips about chili peppers… but shh, we won't say any more, it's our little secret 😉 We'll gladly come back to try their homemade chili peppers! 07/02/2026: I wanted to go for dinner this Saturday evening. When I arrived at the door... it was closed... annual holiday. I checked on Google, and sure enough, it clearly stated they were closed all week. This is the first time I've ever seen a restaurant change its Google hours when they're on vacation. For that alone, I'm giving it a good rating. Thank you for respecting your customers.

19/12/2025: Always a pleasure to eat at François and Françoise's in Bas de Ville! They have good pizza and a sublime beef carpaccio, and simple dishes and pizzas at reasonable prices! I highly recommend it.
