From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the absolutely wonderful setting: a peaceful, charming, and rejuvenating atmosphere, perfect for disconnecting and savoring the present moment. The welcome is exceptionally warm. You immediately feel welcome, greeted with a smile and genuine kindness that makes all the difference. As for the food, it's flawless: excellent, generous, and flavorful home-style cooking. You can taste the respect for the ingredients in dishes prepared with love, beautifully showcasing local and organic produce. It's fresh, it's healthy, and it's incredibly delicious! In short, a gem in the heart of the village of Molitg-les-Bains. A sensational address that we wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back!

03/10/2025: TOURIST TRAP - EVERYTHING FROZEN Nothing was wrong except the service (simple and efficient, quickly refilling). A table of four, all disappointed with the dishes, from starter to dessert. We should have guessed it from the menu (pizza, seafood, meat, fish, pasta... soon to be wok-fried?) Affordable price but very expensive for frozen food.

24/04/2026: Walking down the street, you wouldn't notice the restaurant. Once inside, the dining room is rather austere, but what matters is what's on the plate. It's good, quite generous portions, and inexpensive. A place worth discovering. Definitely worth a visit.

29/05/2026: Fresh ingredients on the pizza. However, the mushrooms were too fresh (they were simply placed on top of the finished pizza, so they were still raw). Preparation also took an unusually long time. They ended up on the pizza after it was already in the oven 😂

21/04/2026: I rarely leave negative reviews. Unfortunately, while the restaurant's setting is lovely, the food isn't great. The chicken is undercooked, the desserts lack texture, and they're too salty and sweet at the same time...and ultimately, it's expensive for the quality of the food. I did enjoy the churros, which is unusual for an Asian restaurant. I apologize for this review and wish you all the best.

08/05/2026: A very pleasant stay at Camping du Bois de Valmarie. A good campsite, the mobile home was clean and well-equipped. Perhaps a small television would have been a welcome addition, even just to watch the news, for example. We were a little disappointed with the jacuzzi area, which was too cold for our liking. Initially reserved for adults (18+), the pool was repeatedly filled with children (with their parents in the sun loungers...). Why not implement supervision, if it isn't already in place? On the plus side, the mini-market isn't too expensive for basic camping supplies, and the site is well-located. Bicycles, a griddle, and paddleboards are available for rent.

13/05/2026: Good location, allowing you to visit Perpignan on foot. The hotel parking is secure but open-air – unfortunately for me, it rained and was sandy… –, very nice lobby and friendly welcome, but my room wasn't ready when I arrived, and it turned out to be quite worn. There was a lingering smell in the bathroom (thank goodness for the two doors that at least saved my sleep), tiny window, overall I felt cramped and not at all comfortable: it needs a renovation in my opinion. Breakfast included a disappointing orange juice, and they didn't have the famous Ibis Styles madeleines, at least not on the day of my stay.

26/02/2026: Hotel near the train station! Very nice! Clean and quiet! Welcoming staff! Very good breakfast (review posted in April 2025). We booked a 2-night stay on February 4, 2026 (stay from February 24 to 26). Three days before our arrival, the receptionist called to tell us that the hotel couldn't accommodate us because they were undergoing renovations... they wanted to relocate us to an Ibis Budget... logically, they were obligated to relocate us to an equivalent or superior hotel. That wasn't the case! The receptionist told us she would try to find another hotel... The day before our departure, a hotel in Perpignan called us to say they had a price quote... I didn't even want to hear about it. And thank goodness, because we stayed in a much nicer hotel.

Combining authenticity and generosity, here's my experience: 🇮🇹 What We Loved (The Positives) • The Quality of the Products: This is the restaurant's strong point. The ingredients are fresh, carefully sourced, and you can taste it from the first bite. The Italian cured meats and cheeses are remarkably refined. • The Mastery of Pizzas: The dough is light, airy, and perfectly cooked in a wood-fired oven. These are far from mass-produced pizzas; here, tradition is respected. • The Setting: The restaurant has a warm atmosphere and tasteful decor, making it a very pleasant place for a romantic dinner or a meal with friends. 🧊 The downside (The welcome) • The service: This is unfortunately where things fell short. While the meal itself was flawless, the waitress's attitude created a bit of a chill. The welcome was rather distant, even icy, sorely lacking the smile and warmth one expects in an establishment with Mediterranean flavors. At times, you get the feeling you're "bothering" them, which contrasts sharply with the generous portions. 📋 Conclusion Overall rating: 4/5 Donatella is an excellent restaurant for the taste buds. The food is divine, and the value for money is very reasonable for the city. If you're willing to overlook the somewhat austere and rigid service, you'll have a wonderful gastronomic experience. Tip: Go for the food; it's well worth the trip, but don't expect any great displays of friendliness from the waitstaff.
