26/08/2024: Every time I pass through Montceau-les-Mines, it is always with great pleasure that I come to stay at Lucy’s hotel restaurant. The welcome is warm. Each room has its own atmosphere and pretty personalized decoration. I appreciate its large closed parking lot. Family and friendly atmosphere. Regional dishes, cuisine like at home.

12/08/2024: Outside the crowded tourist center, a pleasant shaded terrace which allows you to relax peacefully. Kind staff and hearty, family-style cuisine. I don't think I've ever found such good value for money. A feeling of a neighborhood bar that we liked. A very accommodating kitchen, there was even more!

11/08/2024: Small bar/restaurant a little out of the center, simple, good and plentiful cuisine, very friendly staff.

01/10/2024: We were in the small room and even though there weren't many of us, it was extremely noisy and unpleasant. An endless wait, more than 2.5 hours to eat for 3 people with a child As for the "kids' menu", a poor piece of dry chicken with no sauce, nothing, and 3 fries... Absolutely avoid

29/09/2024: Very good meal, very good, the venison steak served with vegetables, well-controlled cooking, much better than the usual salad fries 🥗 served elsewhere 👏👏 very good waiter is very dynamic.

29/08/2024: The night we spent there was memorable because the fire alarm went off at 2am and woke up the ENTIRE hotel! We weren't afraid because the fire station is located right in front of the hotel! On the other hand, we laughed less when it was triggered a second time at 6 a.m. for a reset... But the staff is very professional and there is good service, the parking lot is guarded all night and the night porter is very friendly. We were able to put in the fridge what we had in our cooler, just ask! Following the alarm, our breakfasts were offered to us!!! Nice, right?

08/09/2024: We thoroughly enjoyed our visit conducted by Monsieur Amaury Devillard himself. The wines are outstanding as are the grounds of the estate. M. Devillard is a charming man whose knowledge and passion for winemaking made our visit so memorable.

30/06/2024: L'Amand'in is THE place to have a good time, either to just have a drink, eat a pancake or an ice cream or have a good meal in a pleasant setting at Square Chabas Whether it's the waitress who is there in the summer or Amandine the boss, they always have a smile and are always very gracious. An unmissable and super pleasant place

17/08/2024: Old hotel with charm and well located in the center of Chalon but the rooms, service and breakfast are absolutely not 4 stars.

17/08/2024: Smell of damp in the room; ineffective air conditioning which must date from the 1980s; few power outlets; uncomfortable spring bedding; paid parking even though customer service assured me that it was included in the price of the night. Restaurant ; vegetable pasta for 25 euros. Certainly a 4* hotel in the 80s but not anymore these days. Very disappointing stay.

20/09/2024: I have just ordered delivery by telephone and frankly just by listening you can sense the gentleman's good humor and that he speaks with a big smile. Very welcoming! I had already eaten there and I really liked the place but knowing that they are also friendly with delivery is really nice.

04/08/2024: Tastes and colors... So yes, the pizzas are really loaded with toppings and cheap. It's true. We cannot say the opposite. But even on a pizza, and perhaps especially on a pizza, you need a little quality for the ingredients, otherwise it's just not great. Concerning the welcome and the atmosphere, we will describe them as rustic. And then the desserts... Misery... The profiteroles that come out of the cheap Metro freezers, which you are nevertheless charged quite a lot for. Pizzas, if you are hungry, are cheap, but without pleasure. On the other hand, desserts, no, it's shameful.

09/09/2024: Very dated room with strong smell of dust and very insufficient cleanliness. Good breakfast but again average service and evening restaurant which starts well with a very good starter and main course but it stops there because the dessert is not at all up to par. A little disappointed with this stay in this establishment.

20/05/2024: C était affreux car, j ai commandé un steak frite j ai eu un burger plus petit qu’un pain et une énorme quantité de frite donc je ne conseil surtout pas le steak et le restaurant

13/09/2024: Lunchen met vier personen bij Restaurant Du Cloître. We hadden ons er op verheugd om hier te gaan eten. Een GRAND HOTEL. Maar de eerste indruk was al niet wat we verwacht hadden. Personeel niet uniform gekleed maar ie een slordig Tshirt. Bediening navenant. Maar het eten werd de grootste tegenvaller. Borden KOUD. Vlees KOUD. groenten OPGEWARMD. We hebben dit niet geaccepteerd en alles terug gestuurd. Volgens ons was de kok niet aanwezig want wat we de tweede keer kregen was weer LOUW. Al met al een grote DECEPTIE We kunnen ons niet herinneren ooit ergens zo SLECHT gegeten te hebben GEEN AANRADER Dit is een GRAND HOTEL. niet waardig.

10/09/2024: Eten opgediend op ijskoude borden. Eten zelf was koud. Dus teruggegeven van alle 4 de personen, zowel vlees als vis. Nieuw eten gekregen, nog steeds niet warm maar lauw terwijl de groente opgebakken leek. Het eten was alsof er geen echte kok aan te pas was gekomen. Dessert geen keuze alleen ijs. Mochten we inruilen voor kaasplankje. Voor ons dus geen aanrader.

30/09/2024: Gîte rented in September for a night with the family. When we arrived, we were surprised by the deplorable state of the courtyard. A trash bag was ripped open in the grass. At the door of the Gîte, the threshold outside is dangerous, watch carefully where you put your feet or risk falling and getting hurt. Entering on the left behind the door, 2 magnificent holes which show the location of the handle and the key. The kitchen, we had the impression of entering "a fryer", grease everywhere. The disgusting dish towel. The dishwasher wasn't fixed, I almost tripped it on my feet! A box of cat food in the middle of the pans. The freezer at the top of the fridge, full of food, covered in frost. The showers in very poor condition. Mold, the crumbling wall. In one of the rooms the ceiling is rotten, we were afraid it would fall on our heads, so we moved the bed. The curtains, stapled to the wall, a rod that holds because it's fashionable. A sort of ashtray overturned on the terrace, with lots of cigarette butts. When we returned in the evening, one of the room doors was closed (when we left our luggage when we left it open). An unbearable smell of cat piss emanated from this room. Without a doubt, someone came home while we were gone! Members of my family walked barefoot, their feet were black! The cupboards are full of household products, they are there for decoration I think. The one and only positive point, the bedding is of good quality. In short...don't trust the photos on the Google page, they in no way reflect reality. They send a dream, once there it's a nightmare!!

29/04/2024: Family weekend, we appreciated the comfort of the spacious rooms. Cindy allowed us to make the most of our stay because the weather wasn't really good. Flexibility in our arrival and departure. Thank you so much.
