01/09/2024: So, to say that it's a restaurant, it has to have the name, but no cuisine. Bitter frying, all the fish are stuck and in crumbs, and it is called frying, I would say thawed and refrozen poison given the bitterness. It's a shame to see this type of establishment, with the name restaurant. Another one who won't finish the year.

14/09/2024: Accueil assez froid , cadre vieillot et musique de fond bruyante et nasillarde, à peine assis on vient prendre la commande Pizza de saveur moyenne, café gourmand qui ne mérite pas son qualificatif , le serveur ne connaît pas les notions d'infusion et de tisane.....pour régler on nous demande d'aller chercher la note sur la table , bref grand manque de professionnalisme

26/12/2024: C'est un flunch, ça ne fait pas rêver, mais ce n'est pas fait pour ça. Maintenant si vous préférez rester sur l'autoroute, ce sera moins bien et beaucoup plus cher. Salades au choix correctes, plats cuisinés variés, locaux nettoyés en continu pendant l'heure du midi, implication du personnel, parking facile pour surveiller la voiture. Et avec ce que vous aurez économisé par rapport à l'autoroute, vous pourrez vous payer deux bonnes bouteilles d'excellent blanc de Macon.

05/10/2024: En soi, le restaurant est bien, mais le personnel est médiocre. La personne qui réapprovisionne le buffet prend tout avec ses doigts sans gants et avachi sur le buffet quand les gens passent, et baille devant tout le monde.

04/08/2024: Nice room, nice view, attentive staff. Very pleasant restaurant, good cuisine. Only downside: for breakfast the eggs offered are battery farmed, too bad.

19/07/2024: Restaurant side: we appreciated the wine list, the setting, and the service. For the dishes, we were disappointed with the quality of the products like the trout fillet which was in fact a trout steak that I found overcooked accompanied by vegetables that were not in season: endive and broccoli. The can was not very tasty and the ratatouille tasted like water. This first dinner left us thinking that the dishes were already prepared and just reheated. The second dinner was about the wonderbox menu, a gift that brought us to this place. I enjoyed the snails and the decent creamed chicken fillet. The pear in wine included too many cloves for my taste. We found the pork ribs nothing more and the chocolate fondant ridiculously small. For a menu at €47, we have had much better. The quality/price ratio is not there at all in my opinion, and the site displays fresh and seasonal products which is wrong I think! a priori this restaurant was Michelin rated in 2018 but surely with other owners. He will not leave us with lasting memories. Hotel side: €130 per night without breakfast at €16. We appreciated the bedding, the courtesy tray and the magnificent view of the vineyards. We were less appreciative of the size of the bathroom accessible for 1 staff, and the few defects: plugged holes, damaged bottom of the cupboard and chipped shower tiles. The pillows too hard and too high for me. The breakfast was not worth the €16 compared to other hotels in the same category. I have doubts about the fact that the cakes were “homemade” and the honey from Saint Mamet was very average. For this price we can expect jams and honey from the region. In summary, we will not try the experience in this hotel restaurant

12/07/2024: To avoid absolutely, the staff took advantage of us given our young age to make us pay much more than the initial price, they charged us 65€ instead of 50€. Unfortunately we realized it too late, very big scam ⚠️

20/08/2024: The service leaves something to be desired. A smoothie brought dripping and then an ice cream brought second without a tray

06/08/2024: Disappointed, the kitchen staff makes derogatory comments about the dishes that the waitress announces for customers. The waitress indicates to the cook a dish without salad, he returned to the table with salad. The waitress then asks, before her break, for a staff to take the order for the desserts, the order is still waiting for it, we leave. Oh that's for sure, they can't be stupid in the kitchen and listen to orders at the same time...

31/08/2024: Completely rubbish, after 45 minutes of waiting, even though we had reserved, we still didn't have our drinks The excuse: we don't have any staff, except that there are 5 of them in the theaters!!! TO FLEE because it's even more unfriendly 🤬

31/08/2024: Certains membres du personnel n’étaient pas très accueillants, le service à table était un peu long ( les personnes à côté de nous sont partis sans avoir reçu l’apéro au bout de 45min). Les pizzas étaient bonnes mais simple. Pour un prix assez élevé pour le coup… le restaurant reste chaleureux.

02/09/2024: Very bad experience, we wanted to order a coffee and we were told to wait because their priorities were to do the dishes and take care of the bar so we left.

26/08/2024: More than twenty minutes of waiting to take a drink order at 6 p.m. while the terrace is only half full... Fortunately there are other places in Chalon to have a drink...

27/09/2024: I'm still waiting for a refund of a way overpayment. Never again!!!! Warning to all tourists. Here you are excluded!

21/09/2024: We stayed at the Hotel Konine for one night while traveling through. The room was modern, clean and the bed was of very high quality. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Unfortunately, the window of our car was smashed during the night and all of our luggage, including motorcycle helmets, etc., was stolen. Unfortunately, we didn't get the support we wanted from reception when it came to informing the police and it seemed like this was a normal situation at this hotel. Since we weren't the only car in the hotel parking lot that was broken into that night, we, and other people affected, would have hoped for a little more support, as communication in English/French was rather difficult.

01/12/2023: Nous étions 5 à dîner et avons tous apprécié nos plats. Cuisson du boeuf impeccable. Accueil sympathique, service très correct et bonne ambiance. Je recommande.

03/12/2024: Passing through only for the evening meal. Excellent dish and impeccable presentation. I will come back without hesitation.

28/11/2024: You have to see it... Dirty restaurant room (floor, kennels, screws on the ground, screen and baby chair right in the middle of the tables), while there are only 2 customers on a Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Parquet all warped and rotted. Chairs to review. The waitress seems very busy on her phone even though we have been waiting for the menu for a while. Questionable cleanliness of dishes. I won't come back again.

27/11/2024: Friendly waiter, good dishes, well-filled cheese naan and tasty cumin rice, however the general state of the restaurant needs to be reviewed, which is a shame

17/08/2024: Smell of damp in the room; ineffective air conditioning which must date from the 1980s; few power outlets; uncomfortable spring bedding; paid parking even though customer service assured me that it was included in the price of the night. Restaurant ; vegetable pasta for 25 euros. Certainly a 4* hotel in the 80s but not anymore these days. Very disappointing stay.

17/08/2024: Old hotel with charm and well located in the center of Chalon but the rooms, service and breakfast are absolutely not 4 stars.

24/08/2024: Good products but terrible customer service. The waitresses refused to change a mistake they had made because the product was in the bag. Absurd

21/09/2024: Not really time to make a choice. It's hard to make a favorite choice. Press by customers and sellers. Team too small! Now no more bread at +/-7 p.m. and other rare products! 'we don't want to make too much product' like in the morning no bread at 8 a.m. the bakers have just started. Marie Blachere has accustomed us to better things.
