01/10/2024: What a view from this hotel! It’s on top of the hill, tucked away. Feels a bit like entering a bygone era, when the hotel was glamorous in its day. Staff was professional and welcoming. Some English spoken. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and had delicious food and drink. Our room had a private balcony looking out the back of the hotel, which was still a charming and private landscape. Our room was very large and the bed was comfortable, although the room and the hotel did seem a bit tired and in need of a refresh (maybe their is part of the charm?). The was the first hotel we encountered on our trip that gave us a sheet and blanket (vs a duvet)) which was appreciated, since I sleep hot. Our room did not have AC, and there was no real good option to ventilate the room, since the room had no window and only a patio door. If had we opted to sleep with the door open, there was no way to secure the room and someone could’ve walked right in from the street. There was a window in the bathroom, but it was broken and did not open. There was some mould in the shower, which would’ve easily been taken care of with some bleach. The pool was tepid, and the Jacuzzi was cold. The indoor pool area was quiet and peaceful, and had quiet please signs. It would not have been a good place for children. There is an outdoor pool, but it was closed due to colder weather when we were there. Overall, this is an interesting and quirky hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Worth the trip!

22/09/2024: >>>> General atmosphere <<<< Correct welcome with explanations of possible activities. We did mini golf (which could benefit from getting back into shape). Then we went to the indoor pool. The temperature was lukewarm. The jacuzzi was cold. Towels were available. The hamam and sauna (10€/30min) were broken. >>>> For the bedroom <<<< We were surprised to have mold in the shower. We directly informed the reception... who was not shocked... who did not offer us to change rooms... In addition she mentioned having had the problem in another room and that as a result they had put "the paint ". >>>> For the meal <<<< We also had 2 menus at the restaurant (39€/pers.): decent starter, fatty steak without vegetables with bland fries (we didn't like it), decent dessert. The rolls were nice. The young waitresses are friendly and smiling. Given the problem with the room, we had the “free aperitif”. >>>> Conclusion <<<< We found that a real shame because it’s a place that could have potential. We saw that it is not maintained any more... and we therefore see the marks of time.

12/08/2024: Accueil exceptionnel et service au top. La terrine est très bonne c’est du fait maison. Le poisson excellent également avec des frites maison. Prix abordables. On y retournera. Je recommande vivement

And excellent feedback :) Dish ready in a few minutes, the lady very friendly and smiling and warm with the customers given what I heard and saw The dish itself, very good and hearty (for a size M) I love it!! Menu proposal, with or without dessert... well, in short, the best!

30/08/2024: Excellent and plentiful meal, everything was perfect, a beautiful address. Don't change anything

28/08/2024: Outdated, overall dingy. No air conditioning, no mosquito protection. The house was certainly nice at one time, but unfortunately difficult at the moment. No reception, key only after calling and waiting. Restaurant closed for no apparent reason. Rooms only basic clean and musty. But the hotel fits the surroundings, morbidly picturesque! One can sense the potential beauty. A lot would have to be invested, which is what we would like for the place and the hotel.

24/11/2024: Very well done cuisine, welcoming restaurant where you can enjoy yourself. A good place to return, with a special mention for the piece of beef and its cooking.

10/11/2024: Man kann auf der Insel nicht schlecht essen - das stimmt schon, aber der Rest passt hier einfach nicht. Fehler (mehrfach!) im Service, Papierservietten gehören sich bei dem Anspruch nicht - und schon gar keine Plastiktischdecke!!!

05/11/2024: Une adresse à retenir à Châlon : accueil sympathique, service efficace. De bonnes assiettes , gouteuses, bien présentées.

10/09/2024: Perfect place on the banks of the Saône, calm, pure air, happiness. The icing on the cake is quality, fresh cuisine and a warm and friendly welcome. Great service, guaranteed smile. Country and rustic decor, no frills or unnecessary frills, the place for everyone!!!

02/09/2024: Go far for the frogs! Good welcome. We didn't wait despite a full terrace, and were served with a smile, it's nice! The setting is nice, even if the restaurant could do with a little updating! I 1000% recommend the frogs which were divine, plump and served in quantity (14 each) with good fries to pick up the sauce. The Vacherin as an unstructured dessert was very good. A good time, thank you, we'll come back.

19/08/2024: Petit resto sympa sans chichi . Ca n’empêche pas une maitrise parfaite des cuissons . Les plats sont régionaux ( boeuf Charolais) . A recommander sans hésiter.

08/09/2024: The welcome was smiling, attentive, very considerate. The room is equipped with efficient air conditioning and offers all the desirable comfort. Perfection. The restaurant demonstrates the same qualities, perfect, friendly welcome. The cuisine is excellent, everything is a real pleasure. Note the strategic position of the establishment for discovering the region. A significant advantage is that the establishment is located on the edge of a huge public car park lined with trees, always available and very very quiet. In short, in a few words: it’s Excellence :-)

11/08/2024: Very friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, great breakfast, an address not to be forgotten if you are passing through Le Creusot

11/11/2024: So... reservation confirmed for 11/11 at 12:30 p.m. and we found the doors closed! This is a first for us and will therefore be the last for this restaurant, as we don't really like being stood up!

11/09/2024: Restaurant that doesn't look like much...but the cuisine and the welcome will amaze you... Regional dishes, country bistro atmosphere with a very warm welcome. Personally, Beaujolaise sausage is a real pleasure.... We will come back to it... Unfortunately, the restaurant has been back for some time and it is no longer what it was... disappointed during two visits.

14/08/2024: I can't talk about the rooms but on the other hand, I recommend it for a good time, super pleasant setting, the cuisine is homemade, good products, taste and flavors that delight the taste buds. The hosts are great, welcoming and very good advice. This is an unmissable table in Cluny.

26/07/2024: Came at random, very nice surprise! On the terrace (full but quiet), refined dish of the day and gourmet dessert for less than 15eur
