06/05/2026: We booked this hotel from Sunday to Tuesday, but we fled after the first night because the conditions were so appalling. From the moment we arrived, a smell of damp and stale carpet literally hit us like a ton of bricks, not to mention the smelly sheets. Cleanliness was clearly nonexistent: visible dust, carpets that obviously hadn't been vacuumed in ages… We seriously wondered if the room was cleaned between guests. We had booked a room with a large terrace, but there was another unpleasant surprise: the glass door didn't even lock, the lock was broken. So anyone could get in, especially since the terrace was connected to others. In terms of security, it was simply unacceptable. As for the bathroom, it was probably the worst: a deplorable state for a hotel that dares to advertise itself as a 3-star hotel. The towel warmer was covered in streaks, the shower glass was coated in limescale, the grout was black, the mirror was dirty… and to top it all off, there was a dead spider on the wall as soon as we arrived. A live spider, maybe, in the countryside, but a dead one? It just proves that the hotel hadn't been cleaned. When we tried to mention it to reception, the response was astounding: the receptionist calmly explained that the hotel is old and has been undergoing renovations for 3-4 years, and that some guests don't complain. Good for them, but that in no way justifies such a lack of hygiene and professionalism. Finally, the manager is simply unreachable: no response to our messages, neither through Booking.com nor by email directly to the hotel. Customer service is nonexistent. In short, a disastrous experience, unworthy of a 3-star rating, which we absolutely do not recommend.

04/05/2026: “A trip back in time… unfortunately not the right time” ⭐☆☆☆☆ First off, kudos to the photos on Booking.com, because frankly, passing this dump off as a charming hotel is quite an achievement. The reality is far less flattering. We arrived and the first thing that hit us was the smell of damp. Not a subtle odor, no. A full-blown, unmistakable scent of a flooded cellar that permeated everything: hallways, room, linens. Speaking of linens, the sheets… how to put it… clearly recycled from a previous stay. The dust on the furniture was so thick that we felt like we were disturbing something. Breakfast was just like the rest: lukewarm coffee, stale baguette, and jam of unknown age. The owner, for his part, didn't see fit to lift a finger when we voiced our concerns. A shrug and that was that. On the security front, the lock barely held, the window didn't close properly… we slept with our wallets under our pillows. The pool was freezing cold; it was impossible to stay in it for more than 30 seconds. The only redeeming feature was the pleasant setting, but the lawn hadn't been mowed in ages, so even that was a bit of a mess. A quick call to a gardener wouldn't have cost much. In short, avoid it.

28/07/2026: It's a shame the new owners are charging prices as if we were in Paris, and on top of that, they have a stranglehold on most of the bakeries in town. What does that say about fair competition? We're disappointed because we're basically just buying "samples"—are these prices meant for tourists? It's becoming difficult to treat yourself in Bayeux. On the plus side, the saleswomen are fantastic and always so kind.

25/07/2026: Leaving the shop, one can't help but reminisce, with a touch of nostalgia, about the days when Madame Lemoisson brought such cheerfulness and warmth to this place. Times have certainly changed, as they say...

03/05/2026: The staff were very pleasant, but unfortunately, that wasn't enough to improve the overall experience. The establishment is run-down and cramped. The seawater pool is very small with only three massage jets for the large number of guests. The hammam was lukewarm and too small for the number of people. We opted for the brunch package and were very surprised to find that drinks were extra (tea and coffee are essential at brunch...). It's more like a buffet than a brunch offering. However, the buffets are regularly replenished, so there's no problem there. Once is enough; the value for money is completely unacceptable.

28/04/2026: A beautiful place to relax, with many treatments available, including a hammam and sauna. The leisure pool could perhaps use some fountains/waterfalls? My 4-star rating is due to the lack of parking, as finding free parking in Deauville isn't always easy! But it was a wonderful experience! PS: Don't miss the tea fountains once you've put on your bathrobe :)

13/09/2025: A pleasant surprise! A warm welcome, and on the plate: delicious local flavors, especially if you enjoy meat. The setting and garden are lovely. The bill was more than reasonable. We will gladly return.

07/09/2025: The welcome was not very warm, it's not ideal for large families. We didn't even have time to settle in before we already wanted to leave.

12/08/2026: I waited 30 minutes for my order only to find out they had "lost" it. It's a disgrace; the customer service is appalling.

10/08/2026: The food was very good, but I got sick after eating it.

06/08/2026: The service was excellent and very friendly, the ice cream was delicious, the little baby loved the crunchy bits, and they gave me an extra one free. Thank you!

30/07/2026: I highly recommend this place! They have a great selection of ice cream at affordable prices. The service is also excellent, with a friendly and welcoming team. A great place to treat yourself.

29/07/2026: The pizza was good and served quickly; we were able to remove the bacon from the pizza. Whether you eat in or take away, the pizza is served in the delivery box.

27/07/2026: Pleasant waitress. Unfortunately, the pizzas weren't very good.

09/08/2026: Slow service, 30 minutes to be served. We received our drinks and ice cream in 20 minutes, but the ice cream had time to melt, and then after another 30 minutes we finally got the rest. Apparently, it's fast food.

24/07/2026: Such a lovely little brasserie. Perfect for lunch. I had a delicious barrata salad with Palma ham and frites. Which was 12.50 euros, and a 0% Leffe. Highly recommend.

06/05/2026: Absolutely terrible in my opinion; it's not homemade. And the owner doesn't care about you. I asked her not to add any more sauce, she just laughed and added it anyway—because, of course, it weighs more on the scale, so it's more expensive… Avoid at all costs

28/08/2026: I had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant during my vacation in Cabourg, and I was completely charmed by this lovely little place! The location is ideal, right on the seafront, offering a magnificent, unobstructed view of the sunset! While you enjoy your meal, take in the spectacle that Normandy has to offer! 🌅 The service is impeccable: attentive, helpful, quick, friendly, and energetic, with a smile and a great sense of humor! We were served by Eugénie, a very professional waitress who always had a smile on her face and shared her infectious good humor with us. The food is excellent: the ingredients are fresh, the dishes are well-prepared and generous! It's a welcome change from some of the tourist traps in Cabourg. Here, the value for money is excellent! We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, which we visited twice during our stay, and we will definitely be back! Bravo to the Chef and his kitchen team! 👨‍🍳 Thank you to Eugénie and her colleagues for the quality of their work! 💛

25/08/2026: Terrible experience, awful food, very rude waitress, she wanted me to pay while I was eating and refused to bring the receipt for me to hand over. I hope this dump goes bankrupt.

10/08/2026: First and last time at this Subway! A terrible experience with a waitress (a blonde woman). There were no seats available, so we decided to sit inside, even though it was very hot (they really need to invest in air conditioning or at least a fan). The blonde waitress then asked if we could move because she had just cleaned. I politely told her we could eat wherever we wanted, meaning we wanted to sit near the door for some fresh air. We were paying for the service, after all, and I believe I have the right to sit wherever I want, even if the place had just been cleaned! If it had been closing time, I could have understood, but that was far from the case! And then the waitress started verbally abusing us, practically wanting to hit us! She gave us dirty looks, almost threatening! Her attitude was completely unprofessional! They only clean once a day?? Because it was the middle of the afternoon! Two customers came in, but strangely, she didn't say anything to them, probably regulars, I don't know! From what I can read in other reviews, this isn't the first time there have been problems with this waitress! They seriously need to be more careful about who they hire, because this is bordering on indecent! I suppose the cleaning is also done in the evening (well, I hope so), so there was no need to speak to us and be so dismissive! If she doesn't like her job, she should change jobs, there are plenty of them, but avoiding contact with customers clearly doesn't suit her! 😉 Restaurant to avoid!

06/08/2026: I just read the other reviews and I disagree with many of them. I've been going to Sub twice a month since it opened in Hérouville. Before, I used to go to the one in Caen. The atmosphere is very calm and the staff are always smiling. There's conversation while the sandwich(es) are being made, and I've never heard any strange behavior from the employees (special mention to the young woman with short hair who is a real ray of sunshine). That said, the restaurant closes a little early, but apart from that, everything is just perfect. I recommend it to all my friends and family whenever the conversation turns to fast food. :D

30/06/2026: 🚨🚨Avoid this place without hesitation. It's by far one of the worst bars I've ever been to. The service is appalling: you're greeted with coldness, contempt, and a complete lack of respect. You get the impression that the customers are only there to spend their money, without the slightest effort to provide decent service. The hygiene is also very disappointing. I personally saw insects on the floor, which made me really uncomfortable and didn't inspire any confidence. Between the deplorable welcome, the lack of professionalism, and this general feeling of neglect, I will never set foot in this place again. I strongly advise against this establishment. 🤮🤬😡

02/08/2026: Same opinion as the 1-star reviews! Inedible and questionable hygiene… I confirm all the comments: smell, questionable freshness of the food, etc… and from what I've read, no one seems to be questioning anything. I should have checked before going.
