12/04/2026: A good, nice, and inexpensive restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly and always tried to help and advise us. Although they didn't speak Spanish, they did their best to make sure we understood each other, which was much appreciated. We would definitely return.

The dishes were beautiful and delicious; if you're in the area, this is a great place to eat, especially in the evening to enjoy the terrace and the ambiance with its soft lighting. The prices are quite reasonable, with several set menus at different price points and excellent service. The village itself is also worth a visit for a leisurely stroll after your meal.

20/04/2026: Excellent restaurant, the dishes are generous and delicious. The service is quick and friendly. The cheese platter is to die for! Plus, it's not too crowded, so the atmosphere on the veranda is relatively calm.

12/04/2026: An absolutely exceptional experience at Bistro de l’Octroi in Sarlat! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with rare kindness and warmth. We immediately felt at home, with a caring and passionate team. As for the food, it was simply a delight: we savored absolutely sublime Périgord specialties (a special mention for the duck confit). Each dish was flavorful, generous, and perfectly executed—a true culinary journey! This is an establishment that truly deserves to be known and recognized. If you are passing through Sarlat, don't miss it: stop by, you won't be disappointed!

The ambience on the terrace was special, the service was excellent, and the price was fantastic value considering the locally sourced organic food. Thank you so much 💓

09/04/2026: A restaurant that's become an institution. It's best to book ahead, and be mindful of the days and times, as it's not open every day. Their couscous is vegetarian, but delicate, light, and fragrant. A limited selection, but delicious. A winning formula.

08/05/2026: The welcome was disappointing, lacking in conversation and smiles. The set menu was €38 plus €5 for the ribeye steak, which was overcooked. Admittedly, it was only 1 cm thick and 15-20 cm long, so obviously not easy to cook—the kind of steak you find in the supermarket's socks. The red and rosé wines were overpriced. A shame, but I won't be back.

09/02/2026: In short: super good and super friendly! The food is delicious, varied, fresh, and made to order, so if you wait a little, it's for the best possible experience. It's worth it; this isn't fast food, let's take the time to enjoy ourselves...😊 The cheese naans arrive piping hot and perfectly puffed up—a delight! The portions are generous and beautifully presented (we even left with a doggy bag 😁). The atmosphere is excellent, the service is very attentive, and the entire establishment is spotless. This is the second time we've met up here as a family between Bordeaux and Limoges, and we'll be back 👍🏻 A must-try. (Children are welcome, and there's a small enclosed courtyard in front of the restaurant where they can run around and play 😉👍🏻)
