14/08/2026: A perfect family meal for a birthday! The welcome and staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and plentiful. The atmosphere and decor were very pleasant. I highly recommend it!

23/08/2026: A truly unique experience. I'll try to describe the food... The welcome was perfect, the staff numerous and smiling but not intrusive, and I must emphasize the quality of the staff, with a special mention for Claudio and the sommeliers... I've rarely seen such expertise. Chef Goujon greets each table at the beginning and end of the meal. A giant of world cuisine. It all started with an aperitif, a revisited kir... with Blanquette de Limou: delicious. The amuse-bouches were exquisite and delicate, pairing perfectly with the kir. Then we chose the festive menu, followed by the wine pairing menu. And that was incredible... It's impossible to describe, as much information would be inaccurate given the sheer number of dishes and components. In short, remember the refined, sophisticated cuisine, the perfect pairings, and the promotion of regional cuisine. I've included a few photos, but this is a must-visit. Some will say it's a budget... certainly, but I prefer to save up and pay for this type of service rather than going to restaurants where everything is reheated...

20/08/2026: We celebrated a birthday in August. It was very good but not a real surprise...it was quite classic compared to other 3 Michelin-starred restaurants we've tried...so a little disappointed...however, the staff were fantastic!

21/07/2026: Generous and delicious cuisine. Special mention to the cassoulet and the Camembert...as my children would say, "absolutely divine," even in 28-degree heat! The service is lovely, the place is super pleasant, and frankly, the taste buds are in ecstasy. So, no regrets whatsoever, and if the opportunity arises again, a stop will be a must.

28/06/2026: The owners give you a warm and friendly welcome. The lady of the house is in the kitchen and the gentleman is in the dining room. The cassoulet is excellent and plentiful. The furnished terrace outside, with its view of the castle and rivers, is a real bonus. They do not accept holiday vouchers.

07/09/2026: What a find!!! Please, if you have the chance, visit this amazing restaurant. The welcome is warm, humorous and generous. The food is quite literally out of this world. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and were delighted by the food and drink (all from the region) which we enjoyed at La Bonne Excuse. Simlply superb...you owe it to yourselves if you are within a days' journey to eat here. The food, the wine, everything was stunning. Thanks to the whole team for such a superb meal.. There's also a display of paintings (painter is at work on landscapes while you eat) ns other artwork. Genuinely wish I could visit regularly (but we live in England - our fault!)

24/08/2026: A real treat!!! We were a table of 19, and we were served quickly and courteously, with a smile. The outdoor setting (terrace) was so pleasant. The cassoulet was simply delicious, the beans perfectly cooked, the meat so tender, and the dessert (nougat glacé) was also a great success. And to top it all off, even the bread was good quality! LOL A truly lovely place for a top-quality cassoulet; thank you all.

28/08/2026: We went hiking in the Verdouble Gorge. We hadn't brought anything, thinking we'd find a bakery offering snacks along the way. Nothing. (This is sorely lacking; there are quite a few "out-of-the-way" spots.) After a 2 km hike, we arrived in the village of Duilhac. We walked back up to this restaurant, which is a little further up the hiking trail. What a lovely discovery! The lady who served us was delightful and very kind. The setting is superb. We had a very good meal. And everyone was happy, because the children were already complaining about not being able to eat... We arrived around 1:30 pm and received a very warm welcome. The food is good and beautifully presented. Thank you for this wonderful experience! 😀 It just goes to show that sometimes you make wonderful discoveries in the unexpected!

20/08/2026: Superb atmosphere and incredible brunch! The food is truly amazing, with a wide variety of choices, but my heart will always be set on the chicken poke bowl, which is so delicious! I will definitely never hesitate to return.

20/08/2026: A truly wonderful place that I've been going to for three years now, and I've never been disappointed! The food is absolutely excellent: everything is homemade, the portions are generous without being too heavy, and the food is always delicious. Special mention goes to the desserts and cakes, which are simply divine! I've never personally bought anything from the shop, even though they offer some lovely items and seem to have a very wide selection of coffees and teas. I highly recommend this place, whether for lunch or just to enjoy a good coffee or tea with a little something sweet!

03/08/2026: Passing through Castelnaudary, we had lunch at Quai 21 – a real treat! The dishes were beautiful and delicious... I highly recommend this restaurant.

02/08/2026: Friendly and smiling staff. Very warm welcome both on the phone and in person. We ordered two rib-eye steaks, 300g each. Delicious meat served with ratatouille and fries drizzled with pepper sauce. Absolutely delicious. For dessert, two excellent ice creams. The restaurant is located on the banks of the Canal du Midi and has a terrace. We'll be back. Toulouse isn't that far from Castelnaudary. Bruno.

02/09/2026: Visit in August Very warm welcome. Excellent meal from start to finish. Prepared with care 🤩 The flavors of the dishes blended perfectly in each course. Starter: melon gazpacho and cabécou ice cream... You won't find anything like it anywhere else, and certainly not as good 😋😜! Thank you 🥰 for the surprise dessert, which touched me deeply 🩷!

19/08/2026: Here's our 2025 review: On August 19th, we celebrated our wedding. There were eight of us, and we chose Me.Restaurant in Limoux. We were seated in a lovely little room, perfectly suited to the occasion. We opted for the "Confidence" menu, consisting of four courses: a starter, a fish course, a meat course, and a surprise dessert. We all unanimously praised and thanked the Chef, who served us dishes that were as delicious and succulent as they were beautiful and appetizing. Excellent wine recommendations and impeccable service. Haute cuisine! Go there and see for yourself; you can invite guests with complete confidence. In any case, we'll be back. And here's our 2026 review! We returned to celebrate our first wedding anniversary... And you know what? It's still an excellent restaurant, and we stand by our 2025 review. It's definitely worth the trip!

03/09/2026: A great place to eat Tartines (large toasts) that are excellent quality and delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they speak Spanish, which makes things much easier. The brioche for dessert is spectacular.

01/09/2026: We had dinner here tonight and the food was delicious. We were told that it was all fresh and locally produced. I had the chicken from the specials board which just melted in your mouth. Desert was fabulous 👌 so pleased that we picked to eat here. The staff there extremely pleasant and went out of the way to explain the menu.

The friendliness of the "hostess" Alban, the skill of her chef husband, the quality of the ingredients, the selection of wines, and—last but not least—the beauty of the "house." These are the ingredients that make La cave d'Agnes a unique experience. Excellent value.

15/05/2026: A visit to the castle and ramparts is a must. Breathtaking views of the city, the surrounding area, and the ramparts! :-)

14/05/2026: The Cité de Carcassonne is a must-see every time I travel through the south of France. And if there's one thing you absolutely shouldn't miss, it's the fabulous Bastille Day fireworks display. I must have been back at least ten times, and the effect is always the same: majestic. The illuminated ramparts, the explosions that set the whole citadel ablaze, the atmosphere in the city… there's something truly unique about it. Even a simple two-hour break during a road trip is enough to be blown away by the sights. On the way to the Abbey of Saint-Martin du Canigou, it's the kind of stop that transforms a journey into a lasting memory. 500 meters before the paid parking lots, on the hill before descending into the citadel, a strip along the edge allows you to park for free. 5, 6 cars max.

26/08/2026: We had our last meal before going back to Northern Ireland and we picked a great place! The food was incredible and the hosts where very friendly and helpful. We brought our 2 children and my daughter said it was the best food she has had. We would definitely recommend this place.
