21/12/2025: A really great way to do a trip back in time

17/11/2025: Medieval cuisine is certainly different from what we're used to eating today. Some dishes might, at first glance, seem a little bland, or at least not the kind of thing that would immediately make our mouths water, because our 21st-century palates are accustomed to tastes that are too sweet, too fatty, or too salty (clearly not the best for our health!). However, the kitchen team rose to this challenge brilliantly: each dish was perfectly seasoned, fragrant, and truly delicious. This made the culinary experience even more successful. The experience is further enhanced by the entertainment offered throughout the meal, as well as by the choice of costumes at the beginning, which immediately immerses us in the medieval atmosphere. We also greatly appreciated the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant, with only one seating at lunchtime: no constant coming and going, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend! Until next time!

07/12/2025: Mélanie gave us a wonderful welcome, we had a great time, and the meal was delicious. The steak tartare was just a little too heavy on the sauce, otherwise everything was perfect. We'll be back as soon as possible!

01/04/2026: Incredible find! We were recommended this place by a friend who lives in the area, and it was a great choice. They have a very well-prepared, healthy menu, truly committed to using local produce. We tried the lunchtime set menu for €25, and the value for money is exceptional. The team is super friendly and attentive. Highly recommended if you're looking for real, well-prepared food!

30/03/2026: Fantastic place, very friendly welcome and service, a great cocktail to start with and a view of the chef cooking succulent meats over his wood fire. We also enjoyed their cassoulet, a real treat, and to top it all off, the bill was very reasonable considering how much we enjoyed this excellent lunch. A top-notch place, without hesitation :-)

10/12/2025: Grau de Leucate is an ideal place to enjoy excellent cuisine by the sea. The restaurants in the area typically offer fresh fish and seafood, expertly prepared with distinctly Mediterranean flavors. The atmosphere is relaxed, with pleasant terraces and views that perfectly complement the experience. The service was friendly and efficient, and I found the value for money to be reasonable for the area. A very good option for a delicious meal while enjoying the coastal surroundings.

23/03/2026: We were a group of 48 who had come for the carnival. We had booked a restaurant in advance with a very specific restriction for me: no fish. We were offered a set menu (normal for 48 people) with gravlax salmon as a starter, which was served to me just like everyone else. I said, "No salmon for me," and the waiter retorted, "And why not?" "You were warned, sir. The guide confirmed it." Anyway, my plate was taken away, and I waited. The others had practically finished their starters when a plate was brought to me, and the waiter announced, "crispy rice." So, rice, molded into the shape of a breaded fish stick and pan-fried. Taste-wise, there was none. I asked a waitress why nothing had been prepared for me, and she stammered that she hadn't seen the bill. Fine. But why serve me RICE when everyone else had salmon? She mumbled "sorry" and disappeared. And that was it. No apology from anyone. My impression: a complete rip-off, because I paid the same price as everyone else. So even though the next course was very good (the portions were rather small), I'm only giving it one star to highlight the staff's unprofessionalism and the waiter's coldness. I'll come back to Limoux, but certainly not to this restaurant.

15/03/2026: We ate on the terrace because it was a beautiful day. The large "idiot salad," which was supposed to be for two people, was charged to us twice. That's dishonest. Otherwise, the salad was delicious.

12/03/2026: A restaurant that doesn't look like much, with outdated decor, however the atmosphere is pleasant and the food served is excellent. I highly recommend it.

09/07/2025: We only visited the free area because the price was €19. I think it's very expensive compared to other major monuments in Spain. What we saw caught our attention: the castle with battlements, busy streets with tourists, and a lively atmosphere. You can easily visit it in a day, eating inside and taking home a souvenir.

01/03/2026: A great experience, generous portions of good quality food at a standard price, a full restaurant, excellent and humorous service – we felt like regulars. We'll be back!
