25/11/2024: Good welcome The cocktails are good and the prices are fair. In terms of the meal, my friend and I enjoyed ourselves. The products were fresh. It’s a very nice discovery, for my part, and I recommend it to you.

22/11/2024: Small inn, but food that is worth the detour, beautiful fireplace where a suckling pig was finishing cooking, finally a typical inn which offers good food, a good cassoulet, and lots of good things, we will come back.

28/10/2024: Sunday October 27, 2024. There are 2 of us who are a little older (PRM) and we had booked for that day around midday. We arrived right on time. I had my wife come down to the restaurant door while I went to park the car because I walk a little further. Unfortunately, after several attempts and in various dead ends, there was no possibility of parking: the entire village was "occupied". We had clearly seen at the entrance to the village the indication of "compulsory parking for hikers" (300m from the restaurant). We are no longer there. So I called my wife who was in the process of ordering to tell her of my dismay. And we took the road back, hoping to find a cassoulet on the way! So, no opinion on the Sire cassoulet.

07/11/2024: Nous avions envie de nous changer les idées, de dîner dans un restaurant sympathique. Nous avons été enchantés de La Luciole, à Luc Sur Orbieu (11200). L'accueil était franc et joyeux, même si nous étions en avance. Les plats étaient délicieux, joliment présentés et comme un légumes ne plaisait pas à l'un de nous, il a été remplacé par une portion plus généreuse du 2ème légume prévu. Avec un apéritif, (un régional, original, et un classique), un bon vin et le choix du menu complet, nous n'avons pas dépensé plus de 60 euros par personne. Je recommande chaudement ce restaurant.

09/09/2024: Very good and refined cuisine. The servers are very friendly and smiling. If you are looking to eat on a shaded terrace, with lots of charm, in a street far from the usual hustle and bustle of the city, I recommend the cauldron.

05/09/2024: This restaurant has always been great except on our latest visit. After a very busy weekend for tourism, we visited during the week and they had run out of their signature dish (Moules Gratinee). Quite disappointing

10/01/2025: It was close to where we were staying. The truth is that it was very good, the coffee was good, the pastries the same, the only bad thing is that inside it only has a couple of tables and if they are full you have to go outside, luckily it wasn't cold when we went, but the tables and chairs to put One but to the place, they should fix them up a little. But recommended if you want to have breakfast near the castle.

08/01/2025: The woman who works there has a very bad attitude. We bought 4 quiches but 2 of them were not fresh ( fish one had very bad smell) . Cookies were not fresh neither.

13/09/2024: Very nice waiter, pleasant corner and Max, the dog, is very good company. Two more minutes on high heat to dry the rust and it would have been a 5/5 out of all!

31/08/2024: We had a lovely dinner sitting in the outside patio area of 104. The food was delicious with a wide range of options for vegans/vegetarians. Service was really great as well.

15/09/2024: Une véritable découverte en ce lieu éloigné. Le chef a beaucoup de mérite de proposer à ses convives des menus raffinés élaborés avec des produits de qualité et des recettes aux subtiles saveurs. Allez-y même s'il faut faire un détour!

25/08/2024: Le chef a enchanté nos papilles et ceux de nos invités qui ont découvert un restaurant étoilé pour leurs 80 ans. Un menu équilibré, sans artifices, dans la tradition culinaire française ou le goût est au centre du repas. A noter un excellent accord mets et vins. J'ai particulièrement apprécié les cuissons notamment celle du cabillaud qui mettent le produit en valeur.

08/12/2024: This lovely place serves possibly the best galettes in France (as well as many other excellent dishes), generous and delicious, a must do in Quillan. Very friendly staff, always busy so good idea to book ahead.

03/12/2024: Lost in a picturesque valley in the town of Quillan, Le Demi-Sel is a Breton crepe restaurant that seduces with its bucolic setting. With its location on the main avenue, slightly off-center from the center, it remains easily accessible and invites you to take a gourmet break in a relaxed atmosphere. During my visit, I opted for several savory and sweet crepes, but the experience was mixed. The buckwheat pancakes, although generously filled with products of impeccable quality, disappointed me with their dough. It lacked cooking, crispness, and that typical buttery taste which gives all its charm to real Breton pancakes. This detail hampered the authenticity of the dish, but fortunately, the freshness and flavor of the interior ingredients made up for this imperfection. For dessert, my sweet tooth took over, and I let myself be tempted by two sweets. The apple crumble was simply delicious: balanced, tender, with a subtle touch of spices that warms the heart. Then, the caramandine caught my attention, as much by its poetic name as by my curiosity to taste their salted butter caramel. This dessert crepe convinced me, with a rich and tasty caramel that perfectly met my expectations. Although it is not the best caramel I have tasted, it remains a success overall. The service is provided by a young and dynamic team, who demonstrate professionalism while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere. In summary, if the pancake dough deserves improvement to achieve Breton excellence, the quality of the fillings and desserts makes this place a nice address. Le Demi-Sel is a pleasant stopover, perfect for lovers of good flavors in an enchanting setting.
