18/09/2024: My French wife found this as a stopover on our longish journey from Interlaken to Versailles. Seemed okay and had what seemed to be a bargain offer of a three course dinner all for about €140 - a bit too good to be true, but using the "you never get a bad meal in France" saying we thought it would be fine as only for one night. Looked nice enough when we parked and very nice lady showed us to a bit of a small room but clean, good Wi-Fi, nice bathroom with a decent shower so all good. Down to the restaurant which is a bit like the Tardis as it looks small when you enter but is quite big around the back. Tables with table cloths and nice crockery and cutlery - hang on what is going on here, this is a cheap three course meal isn't it? Goodness me - the food was outstanding! We have paid a lot more for a lot less I can tell you. I had gnocchi in parmesan sauce, sea bream and creme brulee. Absolutely fabulous. Breakfast next day was a simple yet very nice affair with lots of bread and pastries on offer and a nice chap who served us. This is an absolute gem of a place and if you need to rest within 20 miles of here then make the detour and stay and eat here. Brilliant, well done to the team!

04/09/2024: Nous sommes en Bourgogne et on s'attend à des plats régionaux. Et bien, on n'est pas déçu par ce restaurant. On dirait du gastronomique sans les prix du gastronomique. Il semblerait que l'adresse soit bien connue car pour un soir de semaine, le restaurant affichait presque complet...

24/11/2025: Good evening, I ordered two seafood platters 🦞 🌊 (the cheapest option). The seafood was magnificent and very fresh! We thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you, and the service was impeccable! I highly recommend it!

23/11/2025: A wonderful culinary experience! From the appetizer to the dessert, every flavor was perfect, and the cooking was flawless. I'm a picky eater. I don't think what I can make at home is restaurant-quality. Well, at this restaurant, from the lobster salad to the venison and finally the chocolate fondant... Thank you for everything you do! 26/01/2026: We stayed at the Hôtel de France in Beaune and dined at its restaurant, La Régalade, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The room was spotlessly clean. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. We had an excellent night's sleep, enhanced by thoughtful touches that were much appreciated. In the evening, we dined at La Régalade, and it was a real treat. Everything was delicious, worthy of a fine dining establishment, with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and complimentary desserts that added an even more generous touch. It had been a long time since I had tasted cuisine of such high quality. In the morning, breakfast lived up to the rest of the experience: varied, plentiful, and beautifully presented. It offered everything: savory and sweet options, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurts, fruits, cereals… nothing was missing. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff must also be highlighted; they were always helpful, smiling, and readily available.

24/01/2026: Hotels near train stations don't usually have a good reputation. This one is an exception. Comfortable room, excellent bedding in the superior room, spotless bathroom, and a very varied breakfast. The staff is incredibly attentive. Excellent value for money. The same goes for their restaurant: a reasonably priced menu and quality dishes. My new go-to place for future trips to Beaune.

16/06/2025: Found this place by accident whilst wandering around Dijon on a quick tourist visit. I love craft beer and this spot had an absolutely amazing range. The staff were super helpful in providing recommendations for taps from local breweries, and the snack/bar food offering was great. I thought there’d been a mistake when the bill came out as well - very affordable for the quality you get. Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

30/11/2025: Not really worth the Michelin star or the price. The food was ok, nothing special though. I would have been perfectly happy to receive it had it not been the star. Also, 10 minutes with an empty wine glass is a lot when buying the full bottle.

29/11/2025: I tried Loiseau des Ducs a while ago (I forgot to leave a review), and it's a Michelin-starred restaurant that perfectly lives up to the high standards of fine dining as defined by the Michelin Guide. The restaurant is nestled in the Hôtel de Talmay, a 16th-century building listed as a historical monument. For me, it wasn't just a meal but a true sensory experience. The service is impeccable, the pace is perfect, the flavors are refined, and the ingredients are of exceptional quality. I think it's one of the best first restaurants to discover in Burgundy. The prices are naturally high, but the experience is well worth it.
