23/06/2026: The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere with sports games playing on TV. Unfortunately most of the menu and several drinks were unavailable when we visited but we still enjoyed what we had. The pizza was a little too thin and crispy but the toppings and flavours were amazing -the pesto on the margerita was particularly great.

Everything was delicious and refined. The chef and her husband carefully select all the ingredients they use. We had a long chat with the owner, who seems to have a very broad knowledge of many subjects...
The tea menu was also expertly chosen.
It had been a long time since I'd been so captivated by a restaurant.

30/07/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance, and wow, it's delicious! You can really taste the authentic, local cuisine.
It's been a long time since I've eaten so well.
The most surprising thing is, it's only €19.90 for lunch, including a starter, main course, and dessert.

27/07/2026: Located outside the historic center, this bistro is rather noisy.
The quality is really poor. For a "Duo of Foie Gras and Pan-Seared Foie Gras Escalope" platter, we were served two pieces of foie gras, one of which was too cold and the other truly tiny. The side dish was bland. This platter cost €27. You'd be better off exploring the picturesque streets where, for the same price, you can get a complete three-course meal: starter, main course, and dessert. Avoid it!

22/07/2026: What a warm welcome we received in Saint-Vincent-de-Connezac! The hosts were attentive and friendly, and everything was provided for our comfort.
The property is easy to find and there is ample parking.

20/06/2026: An excellent restaurant with a well-balanced menu. The location is peaceful, with a lovely shaded terrace and tasteful decor. Special mention goes to the original blueberry dessert with its exceptional whipped cream. The coffee menu alone is worth the trip.
13/06/2026: A fantastic find in Brantôme! We had a wonderful time at La Récré Gourmande. The food was delicious, carefully prepared, and of excellent quality. The welcome was warm from beginning to end.
A special mention goes to the owner, who took the time to chat with us after our meal. This thoughtful touch was greatly appreciated and demonstrates a genuine passion for his work and a genuine concern for his customers. He was very kind, helpful, and friendly.

We celebrated a birthday with friends and our daughter. The children's menu was a real treat! For adults, it was a true delight, with some wonderful discoveries and discreet service to complete the experience.
