Le Noailles
Bordeaux
26/04/2026: I was incredibly disappointed. Whenever I'm in Bordeaux, I go to Noailles twice. This time I made a reservation for lunch. But the restaurant was closed. There was an apology sign on the door explaining that something serious had happened. That was all. I had a lot of trouble finding a decent restaurant nearby—which is practically nonexistent in that part of Bordeaux—and ended up with an unpleasant lunch in a tourist trap.
It's a real shame. I hope Noailles reopens.
22/04/2026: The restaurant was closed, and looked to have been for many months. Why are reservations being offered? Met another family similarly duped.

La Brasserie Bordelaise
Bordeaux
10/04/2026: Because I can't put less into service
09/04/2026: Where to start?
Once upon a time a couple decided to try this restaurant, made a reservation online for that same night and made it to the place. It looked cozy, not crowded. Looked carefully at the menu and chose the beef cheek with smashed potatoes and the veal chop. Oh my! What a great choice. Both magnifique. Real tasty. Served with bread and foie gras pate to start as well. The red wines chosen were one from Margaux to go with the veal chop and the Pauillac to go with the other dish. Our verdict was that the Margaux was the best wine, really interesting, structured, tasted some fruity notes. The other one was a bit more acid yet a good choice with the meal. The service was attentive and nice. MUST VISIT

L'Envers du Decor
Saint-Emilion
27/04/2026: It was a nice restaurant, the meat was great. The duck fois gras was splendid. However the deserts were tasteless. I suggest to try the crème brûlée.
27/04/2026: A nice brasserie with a large terrace where we had lunch. The Nordic waffle was very good and plentiful. The only slight drawback was the lack of cake, peanuts, or anything else to accompany our aperitif, which was a shame. We had a pleasant time. Good value for money.

Le Lion Lilas
Bordeaux
15/03/2026: The place is pretty and welcoming. However, the cleanliness of the glasses and walls wasn't up to par. As for the food, the presentation was good, the meat was cooked properly, but the taste was lacking. The salad, while visually appealing thanks to its shape, was quite small.
06/03/2026: Delicious food in a very pleasant atmosphere.

Le Pressoir d'Argent
Bordeaux
22/04/2026: I must say everything was perfect. We did our anniversary dinner last year here and we loved it.
Attention to detail, service, food… no complaints at all. This restaurant is a good example of what a Michelin start restaurant should offer. The wow factor some others lack. Highly recommended.
06/04/2026: An absolutely unforgettable experience at Le Pressoir d’Argent.
From the moment you step inside, everything is designed to enchant: an elegant setting, a hushed atmosphere, and a welcome of exceptional quality. The service is simply impeccable—precise, attentive, and perfectly paced, without ever being intrusive.
On the plate, it's a true sensory journey. Each dish is a work of art, as beautiful as it is delicious. The ingredients are of exceptional quality, enhanced by masterful creativity and bold yet always perfectly balanced flavor combinations. Special mention goes to the flawless cooking and remarkably delicate sauces.
The wine list is impressive and accompanied by expert recommendations that further enhance the experience.
You leave this place with stars in your eyes and the desire to return very soon. An exceptional establishment that richly deserves its reputation and its Michelin stars.
A huge congratulations to the whole team for this timeless moment, the experience, and the shared knowledge. Thank you to the entire team!

Chez Charlotte
Podensac
25/04/2026: Hello, we made a wonderful discovery! A place to start with a drink, and after a warm welcome, we were charmed by the simple menu... We ordered two dishes to share. The service, the quantity, and the presentation of the dishes were impeccable, and the food was delicious. A lovely, clean place where the customer is truly valued. Quite rare these days! Professionals worthy of the name, living up to their slogan: here everything is homemade, with love and passion. Sir/Madam, please don't change a thing... it's perfect! Thank you and see you very soon.
11/04/2026: Our first visit to this restaurant and we were delighted! The welcome was warm and very pleasant from the moment we arrived. The meal was also excellent, with flavorful and beautifully presented dishes. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend. We will gladly return!

Le Carreau
Bordeaux
08/04/2026: The best thing about Le Carreau is the portion size. First time in Bordeaux where we could not finish the mains and decided to skip dessert. And the overall taste of everything we had was good, very nice surprise on the warm bread they served us. Unfortunately, I think our expectations were higher. The table we were sat on was right next to the toilet with almost complete lack of personal space vs the next table. Wine selection (by the glass) was quite poor, and the food while overall tasty was very ordinary. The croquettes for starters were very floury, the confit duck leg was drier than expected, and the artichoke carpaccio was just an artichoke from a jar, flavoured with cumin which felt too overpowering. We also had oysters and beef tartare which were quite good actually. Disappointing to not have clean pair of cutlery between meals. Out waiter was very friendly and helpful though waited 20 min for the bill.
05/04/2026: The food was good. The organization was terrible. We won't be back.

Le Medieval
Saint-Emilion
06/04/2026: We stopped for lunch and found a seat outside, sampled a selection of cheeses, and then had roast ham and grilled beef. To finish, we had an almond cake. Everything was delicious. Of course, we also really enjoyed the wine. Service was friendly and fast.
24/03/2026: St Emilion 25th October
Le Medieval Restaurant
We both travelled by train from Bordeaux to St Emilion for a day trip. The town is approximately 20-30 minutes from the station by foot up a gentle gradient, passing vineyards enroute. We wandered around the town, which is beautiful, had a glass of Bordeaux opposite the medieval Church before wandering back down with the intention of grabbing some lunch before heading towards the train station. We sat outside initially as - even for the end of October - the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day but moved inside when a threatening rainstorm delivered on its promise. The food was great as was the service and – as always – the wine was excellent and reasonably priced, given that it is undoubtedly a tourist destination. Probably mobbed in holiday season but this was still had a number of locals dining out.
