21/07/2026: For years I'd walked past this restaurant without really knowing what to make of the name. There were three of us on Monday, and I made a reservation... what can I say? Impeccable in every way. The place, a true neighborhood restaurant. The welcome, friendly and warm. The dishes on offer, nothing to complain about. The buffets, nothing to complain about. The bill, nothing to complain about. In short: I highly recommend it, go for it!

03/09/2026: Note: I've only been there once. I thought it was a great place for climbing; the walls have varying levels of difficulty, making it both fun and challenging. There's a small climbing wall. You can rent climbing shoes for €4.50. There are changing rooms with hairdryers, showers, and toilets (which were clean, perhaps because I went in the morning and finished when it was busier). The cafeteria was packed; people seemed to be having a great time, and the food looked delicious.

05/08/2026: We took a trial lesson for our children. I sincerely recommend this instructor 100%! The teacher was incredibly kind, patient, and adapted to the children. We were warmly welcomed from beginning to end. Thank you so much for the children. We will be back!

11/09/2026: I stayed for a week on a half-board basis this summer for a training course at L'Épis de Bois. It was an excellent experience, much more enjoyable than I had imagined, being alone for the week. The room was quiet, clean, and air-conditioned; you feel welcomed as if you were visiting family. I ate dinner with all the other guests and the very friendly managers on the terrace. The food was good and very generous. In short, I highly recommend it. This week wouldn't have been so enjoyable without such a comfortable place to stay every night!

20/12/2025: Beyond golf fans who know and appreciate the place, this is the right address for those who wish to change their horizons and experience, for example, a sunset on the terrace overlooking an ocean of pine trees and greens (where you can see deer), especially since the welcome is really friendly and the home-style cooking is excellent!

16/12/2025: As a group of 47, we received a very warm welcome, excellent service, and a delicious meal. The presentation of the dishes was very satisfying, the hot main course was delicious, and the dessert was original. I highly recommend it.

24/10/2026: The service was rather slow, the beef was good but fatty and not very tender, and the fries were frozen. On the other hand, the panoramic view was exceptional, the ham incredible, and the gourmet coffee lived up to expectations. The value for money was not what we expected!

23/10/2026: The winery boasts a terrace offering stunning views of the vineyards; however, the value for money was insufficient. Why the high cost of wine glasses, considering the service is provided directly at the winery, coupled with a menu geared towards tourists? Due to the high volume of visitors and the nature of the service, I do not recommend a future visit.

20/10/2026: 10/2026 Solo Visit First night in Bordeaux. Entered the restaurant around 7:20 PM. I had the image that Bordeaux was all about red wine and meat, but I heard that white, rosé, and seafood were also good, and that, combined with my mood at the time, I chose... The dish was grilled octopus! For pairing, I chose Bordeaux white and rosé. For dessert, crème brûlée. I enjoyed it on the terrace as dusk fell! The taste and atmosphere were both excellent! I plan to stay in Bordeaux for several days, so I'll try other menu items. Thank you for the delicious meal! Postscript → I went back three days later! The menu was: Pluma de cochon noir ibérique, purée maison (Iberian black pork pluma, homemade mashed potatoes) Le Commandeur (local red wine) Poire Belle-Hélène (Belle-Hélène pear) Finished with Sauternes. I ended up eating too much! It was a truly delicious meal. Both the seafood and meat were incredibly tasty, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal with a glass of wine. My last supper in Bordeaux was the best meal. I'll be back! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

01/10/2026: A true Soulac institution! Jérôme and his team always welcome us with pleasure and good cheer. This brasserie is the perfect example of what we love: simple, efficient, generous, and friendly. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and we always want to come back. Special mention for being open year-round, which is rare enough in a seaside resort to be worth highlighting! In short, a must-visit in Soulac where you're always received like family. Well done to the whole team! 👏😊

21/10/2026: Went here yesterday and back today it’s that amazing French onion soup is large but perfect for sharing which I did Beef bourguignon melts in your mouth and absolutely amazing. I’m sad i didnt have enough room for dessert but hope i do today
