22/09/2024: A dear friend of mine had highly recommended Le Bar à Vin. We attempted to go there twice. The first time, we thought they were closed because the corner looked like an entrance, and it was closed. I'd say that I'm not too with it, but the second time we went, the same thing happened to someone else. They really should have a sign pointing to the entrance, which is pretty nondescript. So, we finally make it in and there are two people ahead of us and the venue is not full. It took us over 40 minutes to get seated, by then, the line just continued to grow. There were only two ladies waiting on the entire venue. There was a lady at a counter for shipping wine orders and another man, maybe the manager, walking around from time to time. Without a doubt, they were understaffed, but honestly, if no one is buying or shipping wine and you're the manager, pitch in!! Our waitress was nice enough and shocked when we only stayed for one tasting. Clearly, it's a place where people go to linger, but it definitely, at least that day, is unable to accommodate its clientele. A bid disappointment especially since there are many other such venues to relax and enjoy in Bordeaux!

16/09/2024: We had high hopes for this cheese and wine tasting, especially after queuing for 20 minutes just to get in. The wait gave the impression we were in for something special, but unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. The main seating area looks charming enough, but we were led to what can only be described as a drab, old-school canteen setup. The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable, making it hard to settle in for what should have been a relaxing experience. Things went from bad to worse when we ordered. We were told they had run out of every cheese except goat’s cheese—which was ridiculous, given it was only 6:30pm and, more importantly, we were in France, the home of great cheese! How can a place hosting cheese tastings run out of cheese so early in the evening? To make matters worse, the wine menu didn’t offer any guidance on pairings. While our waitress was friendly and tried her best, it wasn’t enough to salvage the experience. The whole thing felt underwhelming and far from what we’d expected. To top it off, they served nutty bread without checking for allergies, which seemed careless, especially in this day and age. Overall, this tasting was absolutely not worth the visit. Save your time and money for somewhere more deserving.

23/08/2024: Aging hotel but very clean. Very very kind and caring staff. Hearty and excellent breakfast 👌. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and it was delicious (fresh salmon tartare and all-you-can-eat buffet) I highly recommend.

01/09/2024: Personally I enjoyed it. The dishes were very original, a real search for flavors, well balanced. The presentation is neat and also original. The food and wine pairing was very good, and in perfect harmony with the dishes, it was also a good surprise for me. We were a couple, it was particularly suitable for a romantic dinner. The service is very professional. If you are looking for an original and delicious culinary experience, don't hesitate.

31/08/2024: Everything is perfect. Don't be afraid to take things you're not used to eating, the chef will cook it so well that you'll re-discover the flavor of a dish.

22/09/2024: We were passing through over the weekend. Restaurant and bar were closed. Many of the restaurants in the area were also closed. Bordeaux apparently only lives during the week.

20/09/2024: We had a wonderbox. When we arrived, it was a great surprise since we had been upgraded to a comfort room with 1 hour of spa included per day. The SPA is functional, well maintained, well decorated, and pleasant with little touches: glass of flavored water.... Attentive and very pleasant staff. Nice terrace for the summer. The breakfasts are classic, nothing more. This is the only downside, but it's still quite correct. To sum up, excellent experience...

08/07/2024: Que dire de cette magnifique découverte !!! Un régal tant le cadre est splendide et les assiettes aussi belle qu’appétissante !!! Adresse à y aller les yeux fermé. Le gérant en plus et très agréable ainsi que toute son équipe !!!!

04/07/2024: Idéalement bien placé face à la plage et quand il veut bien ce montrer un magnifique couché de soleil. Notre repas était excellent, un accueil fort agréable et très attentionné.

04/08/2024: Deux ans après notre première visite, toujours aussi exceptionnel Une terasse exceptionnelle des plats exquis ( gambas snake ou le bœuf) un souffle en dessert qu’on oublie pas et des conseils sur le vin qui nous ont valu une tres bonne dégustation A refaire sans aucun doute
