The children also enjoyed it, and the old-fashioned decor inside is worth seeing. Good value for money.

04/08/2026: Excellent place! The dishes were delicious and generous. We were pleasantly surprised by the children's menu portions, which were truly substantial. A simple and effective menu. The sea bream cooked on the griddle was perfect, accompanied by delicious mashed potatoes and equally excellent vegetables. The service is quick, the staff is very friendly, and a big thank you for the lovely touch for my daughter's birthday. She was delighted with her little song and candle, a lovely keepsake that she truly cherished. And thank you to Franky.

19/08/2026: A fantastic spot in Castelnau-le-Lez where I often go with my colleagues. Le Comptoir du Pioch never disappoints! On our last visit, we shared a delicious, perfectly cooked asparagus risotto and incredibly tender braised pork cheek, served with flavorful gnocchi. We finished off this wonderful meal with excellent coffees. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the fresh, prepared food. The service is efficient, ideal for a lunch break. In short, it's delicious, I highly recommend it!

27/06/2026: Given the high price of the set menu (€34), I expected better, especially the main course: a very tough, sinewy steak that was practically inedible. The welcome was good and the atmosphere very calm. I'm surprised by the almost 5/5 reviews.

30/07/2026: Passing through Bédarieux, we had a wonderful time at this restaurant. We were comfortably seated, the service was impeccable, and the cuisine was original and delicious. If the opportunity arises again, we will gladly return to dine under those magnificent plane trees!

24/07/2026: Another excellent family meal with our dog under the trees, accompanied by the sound of the fountain. The staff were charming and helpful, from the owner to the apprentice. Excellent value for money. On-site parking. We'll definitely be back.

A special mention goes to Aline, who is incredibly kind and remarkably helpful. She takes the time to passionately share her expertise, explaining the harvest and preparation processes, and attentively answering each of our questions. A truly wonderful experience, marked by quality, authenticity, and sharing. An experience we recommend without hesitation. Go for it!

08/08/2026: We opted for the tasting menu and it was fantastic! A very generous platter of oysters and mussels followed by mussels with an incredible sauce!

27/06/2026: This was our first (and certainly not our last) visit to Lo Cagarol. The ambiance and decor perfectly suited our taste. We felt very comfortable. The menu (burrata, bar, or roast pork and cheese) was exquisite and prepared with finesse. Perhaps offering two different, smaller cheeses for dessert would be a nice touch.

18/08/2026: What a disappointment!! We were expecting a tasting menu worthy of a fine dining establishment with this six-course tasting menu! Disappointed for several reasons: There was no cohesive theme between the courses, some dishes had no particular flavor, notably the watermelon and mackerel combination, and the meat was very tough to chew… The wine offered by the glass was of mediocre quality, and there were no sweet wines available except Muscat! The dishes were described automatically and extremely quickly, making them almost incomprehensible! The chef was having fun in the kitchen with his assistants, drinking a mixture that was half-spit out into the sink (visible from the outside table). The only positive points were the amuse-bouches and the desserts. This restaurant seems overrated and does not deserve the ratings given!!
