12/09/2026: The food we had was not good here, which is unfortunate because the service and atmosphere were nice. The food was lacking in flavor and complexity. The ratatouille was edible but the chicken with carrot purée was overcooked and so flavorless that it reminded us of baby food. For the price and portion, I would at least expect the flavors to have depth.

05/06/2026: I recently dined at Château de Beaulieu, eager to discover the restaurant's atmosphere, its cuisine, and to enjoy the setting, which is indeed very pleasant. The dishes were sophisticated and beautifully presented, with a real focus on flavor combinations. However, I felt the seasoning sometimes lacked character. I would have appreciated slightly bolder, more vibrant flavors to better showcase the dishes. My main regret, however, concerns the ordering experience. Being a foodie and wanting to explore more of the menu, I asked to order two courses, which was refused. This made me uncomfortable and unfortunately impacted the rest of my meal. My intention wasn't to waste food, but simply to fully enjoy the gastronomic experience offered. So, it's an establishment with a beautiful setting and refined cuisine, but this restriction regarding ordering somewhat marred my experience.

06/09/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and sometimes chance works out very well. This restaurant transported us back to our childhood, to a time when we didn't take the highways to go on vacation, when local produce graced every village square we passed through. The owner offers cuisine that's nostalgic in the best sense of the word. Here, herring with potatoes in oil is served with warm potatoes, kidneys are flambéed with cognac, the pork cheek is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the floating island is perfect, sprinkled with slivered almonds. A real treat, especially with a good glass of Saint Nicolas wine, of course. All this to the sound of an accordion and under the watchful eyes of Lino Ventura and Jean Gabin. Deliciously nostalgic, we tell you!

06/08/2026: The service was impersonal, giving the impression of being a nuisance because we were just passing through. As for the supposedly gourmet cuisine, it was light years away; tasteless, and the portions were ridiculously small. More than disappointed, especially considering the price.

20/10/2025: The food is fantastic; I enjoyed foods I usually dislike, a perfect harmony of flavors. The cooking was melt-in-your-mouth tender, a delight for the taste buds.

29/09/2025: Typical local establishment. We were lucky they were open on a Monday. Great value lunch and very very tasty. I loved my terrine entree and the fish was insane, perfectly cooked and fresh. It is these little villages.of the beaten track that provide the, sometimes unexpected, little surprises. Merci beaucoup.

25/08/2026: I came to have a drink with friends, and imagine my surprise when it came time to pay for my lemonade! Having ordered a 50cl glass, I was paying twice for the lemonade listed on the menu: €7.30 for a glass of lemonade and syrup is a bit pricey, and it would have been more customer-friendly to mention this when ordering.

06/08/2026: The perfect spot in the center of Tours. Generous and well-prepared dishes and salads, and homemade desserts worthy of a pastry chef. The express lunchtime deal (dish of the day + dessert of the day for €17.90) is unbeatable; I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. And the service was impeccable! Highly recommended!

11/07/2026: Always a great selection and quick service, the staff are lovely! However, I must mention the difficult working conditions for employees during this heatwave; the store is an oven, and they persevere with a smile. Frankly, they are very courageous. Air conditioning would be more than necessary for them. In any case, well done for their professionalism!

19/08/2026: I came for lunch, walked for 40 minutes because Google said the restaurant was open, and arrived to find the doors closed. This isn't a place for people who value their time and are willing to pay for proper service. The restaurant doesn't respect its customers. As a result, I had to take a long-distance train on an empty stomach. I don't recommend it.
