25/03/2026: Hello! I went to the restaurant and I can say it's very, very good. The cheeseburger was delicious, and so was the ribeye steak! I highly recommend it!

12/02/2026: Dinner and overnight stay at this 2-star hotel. At this time of year, there's no reception before 5 PM. The welcome was lukewarm but adequate. The room was clean and quiet; not luxurious, but satisfactory. Good dinner with fresh, locally sourced ingredients... around €35-40 per person. Breakfast was fairly substantial and basic. The hotel is well located in the city center. Free parking on site.

04/05/2026: A fantastic family-run restaurant! We had a wonderful time at this family-run establishment. The food is generous and delicious, with excellent value for money. Also worth noting: the option to reserve a private room with its patio. A truly charming space, ideal for a meal with friends, a birthday celebration, or a family gathering in an intimate and welcoming setting. A place to remember without hesitation!

27/12/2025: We only tried the hotel restaurant and it was a very good experience with excellent value for money. The menu is simple, with a choice of two starters, two main courses, and two desserts. The food is unpretentious, served quickly and with a smile.

17/01/2026: Disappointment!! It used to be perfect, but this is the second time in six months I've been disappointed. The waitress was very rushed; I ordered a burger with bacon and onions inside… the burger arrived without bacon and onions. I explained this to her, she sent it back to the kitchen, and then came back explaining that they were out of bacon… She brought my burger back with cold fries… no apologies and no gesture of goodwill. I didn't even finish my fries.

16/05/2026: Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We were the very first guests – we even arrived 15 minutes before the official opening time – and still had to wait an unbelievable 1.5 hours for our food. My husband's steak was simply disgusting – tough, tasteless, and obviously poorly prepared. The fries looked like they'd been reheated three times: limp, greasy, and absolutely unappetizing. On top of that, the service was unfriendly. It felt like they didn't care about the guests at all, as long as new tourists kept coming in. No interest in quality, no interest in the guests' well-being. I've traveled all over Europe and visited a great many restaurants – but I've rarely had such a bad experience. I honestly can't understand how this restaurant is always packed. Perhaps it only survives on its location and not on quality or service. Worst of all, this experience has unfortunately ruined our impression of Tours. As a visitor, you're really looking forward to enjoying the city, eating well, and taking home wonderful memories. Instead, we leave disappointed and annoyed. It's a shame, because places like this ruin the impression of what is actually a beautiful city. Avoid this place if you want to keep your spirits up.

11/05/2026: The welcome was very pleasant, the place is nice, but it's a real shame. (The food wasn't good at all.) I'm really sorry, but it was inedible :( Please don't take this the wrong way; it's not a criticism, but a suggestion: you need to do something to improve the food.

09/05/2026: A wonderful experience at the Orangerie of the Château de Chenonceau. Friendly staff, a simple, calm, and clean setting. A set brunch buffet menu, including appetizers, main courses, cheese, and dessert. Remember to book in advance, as it gets very busy during peak periods and places fill up quickly.

29/04/2026: As I write this message, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 6:20 PM, the waitress who works on the patio needs to improve her professionalism and customer service. My partner and I were waiting to be seated and greeted her to see if we could have a table on the patio. She gave me a quick, glum greeting and left abruptly, leaving us stranded. I should point out that she wasn't busy. She might need to be reprimanded; it was unwarranted and frankly unpleasant. You've lost two customers.

08/03/2026: My partner and I visited this restaurant during our stay in the area, we simply loved the quality of the service, and the fries were incredible!

06/03/2026: Good but expensive, especially the dessert at €7.50. Plus, the bread was served in very small quantities.

10/11/2025: Very disappointing for a Campanile hotel. I booked a "Next Generation" room with a large double bed, as shown in the photos. Upon arrival, I was given an old, poorly maintained room with stained carpet and two single beds. Nothing like what was advertised, especially for such a high price. The room had no heating, the soundproofing was poor, and it overlooked a rather noisy parking lot. Another very disappointing point: the room wasn't cleaned during my three-night stay. I was told I had to request it at reception, which is unacceptable, especially without any prior notice. The sign supposedly indicating "Do Not Disturb" or "Please Clean the Room" was actually a rental car box, proof that the rooms aren't properly inspected. Finally, there was no tea or coffee, not even instant, and only one cardboard cup for three nights. For a hotel costing over €70 a night, this is clearly insufficient. At that price point, a Formula 1 hotel across the street would probably offer equivalent, or even better, service for half the price.

01/03/2026: We went for a special Valentine's Day evening where the menu was €55 per person, including a starter, main course, and dessert, which ended with a chocolate mousse or a canned fruit salad (a bit pricey, don't you think?). There was no water carafe on the table, and we had to ask for our main courses and the aperitifs included in the menu. The starters were completely tasteless (crumbly chopped shrimp and salmon ceviche with no seasoning), and the main courses were cold (bland and dry risotto). We told the owner about our experience, but she said we seemed to be the only ones complaining. There was no compensation offered, which is unacceptable. We do not recommend this place, at least not for the food; otherwise, the atmosphere was pleasant.

20/04/2026: I tasted the small plain brioche. If I had known, I would have taken two. It was good without being too sweet.

12/04/2026: I've always been warmly welcomed, and their brioches are so delicious that whenever I'm in Tours, I make every effort to get some! Despite what some grumblers might say, judging by certain comments! There aren't many high-quality things available these days, so we should take advantage of it!
