05/09/2024: Very nice hotel, the food is great and the area is really very quiet, a change of scenery on the edge of the small lake.. the rooms are top notch, a little extra with the heated indoor swimming pool..

25/06/2025: Nice atmosphere, friendly and smiling server, the little extra is the presentation of the plate at the table for the Bresse chicken with yellow wine and morels, all arrived in a casserole dish, the local menu allows you to have starter, main course and dessert.

22/10/2023: We are slowly getting to know the French Jura and happened upon this small hotel in Foncine-le-Haut. There, we opted to spend the night in the roullotte, a kind of trailer, which gave us the autonomy of a small apartment. Jessica and Julien are very friendly and helpful. Julien was in charge of the kitchen in the evenings, and we and our friends picked through pretty much everything on the menu over a couple of evenings. It was all very good, well-prepared, generous portions. They offer local products where they can. Jessica was on duty in the mornings and breakfast was well worth getting up for!
We enjoyed our stay, there’s lots to see in and around the town, and good hiking. I definitely recommend a stay.

L acceuil est vraiment sympathique ,humain,vrai.
On s'est senti réellement accueilli.
Le repas était délicieux du début à la fin.
J ai craqué pour le moelleux au chocolat. J aurais dû demander la recette....
Le petit déjeuner :excellent
J ai apprécié que tous les détails soient pensés : les vins sont bio la musique est chouette les yaourt maison du matin sont maison et délicieux, etc
Ça fait plaisir. Merci.
Vraiment: on a passé un bon moment.
Ah... les chambres sont belles.

11/01/2025: I tested the machine outside and frankly it's great 👍 cheap and really good...I get really excited when you see the take from McDonald's but it's not the same food....WOULD RECOMMEND....
21/09/2024: Forestry technician, I live right next door and I recommend this restaurant, I eat there often, it is excellent! Menu at an unbeatable price, €16, buffet of starters, cheese and dessert, choice between 2 and 3 courses for the main course, drink and coffee. Understood. There is also a vending machine in front of the restaurant, for main dishes, €6, it is always very plentiful and very good.
Excellent value for money.
Don't take into account old comments for the boss's smile. The new girl and her companion are very kind and Françoise always has a smile!

17/06/2025: We thought we'd treat ourselves, but nothing was homemade, ratatouille from a can, and so on. The beers on offer were Heineken and Hoogarden, and I was asked for an extra charge because Hoogarden wasn't included in the menu, without being told.
For those who would like to treat themselves, move on...

24/06/2025: A highly recommended address, excellent family cuisine with old-fashioned flavors, including a cheese platter and a French press coffee maker on the table, authentic homemade desserts (increasingly rare), fast and efficient service, unbeatable prices. Beautiful, calm and relaxing country setting.
17/05/2025: A wonderful experience at this lovely, typical Jura farmhouse. The dinner was delicious and plentiful for an incredibly reasonable price! We were able to chat with the manager, who gave us great wine recommendations and introduced us to the region's specialties.

16/09/2024: Passing through the restaurant: warm welcome. Very pleasant waitress, smiling and professional (pretty to boot). The very pleasant oenologist offers an exceptional wine list.
The dishes are worthy of a gourmet restaurant and the cheese cart is exceptional.
The setting is magnificent.
I will come back and recommend this superb restaurant.
