26/02/2026: I've been coming from Lille 2 or 3 times a year specifically for the generous and delicious food at reasonable prices for over 30 years, and yesterday was a huge disappointment. Where's the menu gone? Where's the choice? Where's the set menu? Just a few choices on a chalkboard and the prices have gone up significantly. A real letdown, it's disappointing. What a shame, it used to be a superb place. 😒

26/08/2026: A very pleasant place to stop for a coffee or a refreshing drink. I always enjoy it when I take my mother there; she lives across the street in St. Jean. I haven't had the chance to eat there yet, but I will.

30/12/2025: We had a wonderful time at this establishment. The food was delicious, the owner is very friendly, in short, a must-visit in Roubaix!

20/10/2025: I didn't stay overnight, I just enjoyed the restaurant, which served delicious traditional food and drinks from the area. It's highly recommended, with a lovely atmosphere and a great view.

11/08/2026: The platters are great, and so are the fried foods! The cocktails are excellent! The crepes are good, but could be better. The atmosphere is fantastic, whether on the terrace, on the beach, or inside. The young team is efficient and welcoming. Special mention to Luchiano!

06/08/2026: Every morning we come here to get our daily dose of coffee. Delicious coffee! Unfortunately, our holiday home only has Senseo coffee, so every morning we walk to the Cactus Café to drink this tasty real bean coffee.

11/10/2025: A wonderful lunch break in a cozy establishment offering quality cuisine. A special mention goes to the attentive service.

28/09/2025: We started with Tataki de Thon. Tasted very good. Then Supreme de Volaille which was also perfect. We finished with Assiette de Fromages and Millefeuille aux Fraises. Really nice too. Everything was perfect. We´ll be back.

26/07/2026: A wonderful discovery. From the amuse-bouche to the coffee, everything was good, as was the service.

21/07/2026: A very good dinner; we ordered set menus with different courses. The beef fillet was excellent, the only slight drawback was the pollack, which was a little dry, but overall we were very satisfied. We'll definitely be back.

11/08/2026: On Sunday evening, we ate. We were offered drinks at the end of the meal, as well as bread, which we refused after several requests – a shame.

30/07/2026: Great place to eat, the best pitta around. Friendly and professional waitress. It's a shame, though, that a can of beer costs €3.

08/08/2026: My daughter went to get four takeaway meals for me. It was a kebab, salad, and onion meal, but since I'm allergic to tomatoes, my kebab ended up with all the raw vegetables. I called the owner and asked him to deliver the salad and onion kebab properly to make up for this mistake. He told me it was up to me to come and get it, and he was incredibly arrogant. My wife told me I didn't have enough staff, but I said that wasn't my problem. He wouldn't listen. My wife and two daughters showed me the quality of the meat, which was a disaster. You should really avoid this place; the meat is extremely suspicious.

22/08/2026: We waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for our food to arrive. We asked why we were waiting, and the response was that they were very busy, even though the restaurant was relatively empty. The salads didn't meet our expectations. We asked again when we went to pay the bill, and she told us that speed wasn't their strong point. The meal was served faster than the service. We didn't try the dessert. Honorable mention, however, for accepting our reservation half an hour beforehand.

21/07/2026: A charming, old-fashioned restaurant/bar with a warm welcome. Unfortunately, since I didn't order mussels, I chose the sausage and fries. Disappointment! It was just a simple Knacki sausage when I was expecting something like a Maroilles sausage.

10/08/2026: We had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at the Salle des 4 Canaux, and we can honestly say that everything exceeded our expectations. Vianney, the owner and DJ, was incredibly welcoming, making us feel at ease and helping us with so many little details we wouldn't necessarily have thought of during the planning process. As a DJ, he was also perfect, seamlessly managing the different moments and listening to our wishes while bringing his experience to the table. The hall is truly magnificent, and the outdoor space is a real bonus, especially the terrace and the green area. The value for money is clearly unbeatable. Thank you again to Vianney for being part of our special day.

30/08/2026: Having been a regular customer for a long time, though not very often, we went again this week. No more snails on the menu, yes, on the website! The charcuterie is nothing like what we were eating 12 months ago; the meat is tough, the fries are bad, and the white wine is HOT! A few ice cubes won't cool it down. In short, what a decline, considering that before it wasn't just good food, but traditional home cooking.

28/08/2026: A truly wonderful example of professionalism and honesty! I contacted La Croix ou Pile because I couldn't identify a credit card payment I'd made there a few weeks earlier. The team was incredibly friendly and took the time to investigate with me to understand what might have happened. They were even prepared to reimburse me if it turned out they'd made a mistake. Finally, after doing some research on my own, I found the source of the payment: no error on the restaurant's part, simply an oversight on my part! I wanted to emphasize their kindness, their helpfulness, and above all, their honesty. Such a rare and commendable attitude deserves to be highlighted. Thank you again to the whole team!
