12/09/2024: Un repas superbe de moules maroilles arrosé d'une bonne bière belge. Certes au premier abord les tarifs peuvent paraître élevés mais la qualité est là. Les moules au maroilles ne sont pas simplement des moules avec une crème goût maroilles mais bien du maroilles fondu. Ça fait une différence incontestable justifiant le prix.

23/07/2024: This place is magical, superb atmosphere. The place has a bar, a restaurant and a hotel. Personally I give my opinion on the bar, the very friendly staff, a charming welcoming place, a pianist sets the mood. Regarding the drinks menu, wide choice of cocktails and champagne, also things to nibble with aperitifs and other dishes. Everything is fresh. I recommend

08/09/2024: The setting of the restaurant is very friendly, welcoming. The restaurant has parking at the entrance. Lots of fish during our visit, fortunately the chef adapts and does not only have one menu per table.. there is also a menu for vegetarians. Lots of local products! Big downside for the service which is not up to par with the rest. However, we ate very well, special mention for the desserts! I recommend booking in advance.

08/09/2024: We ate well, the service is average, €495 for two people with the food and wine pairing billed at €90 per person (not worth it), excessive prices for a non-starred restaurant, for the price go to Le Cerisier, a restaurant starred and exceptional service!!!!

13/05/2024: We stayed nearby, and I read about this bar on here. We went in four evenings and one afternoon. Great prices. Beer 2.50 euros, wine 2.50 euros, good bottled beer 3.50 euros. Unpretentious and friendly. Great service. All the local regulars go out of their way to say hello and introduce themselves. Highly recommended for a friendly drink at good prices. Visited again April 2024, several times. Still as good. I tried the Picon this time. Interesting.

18/08/2024: Tremendous. Responsive service, excellent and plentiful meal. There were 14 of us at the table and we lacked nothing. Good address, we will return there.

16/08/2024: Very good address. Everything is fresh and homemade. Impeccable service, very reasonable and even surprising prices given the quality and quantity on the plate.

01/12/2025: The setting is very nice and bright. However, we were disappointed by the food and desserts we ordered: the burger bun was very hard, the meat wasn't cooked as requested, the lentil and sausage dish was unappealing, and the chocolate fondant was overcooked. The waiter wasn't unpleasant, but he wasn't very friendly either. We had mentioned that we were in a hurry, but the food arrived quite late.

03/09/2025: The menu is very interesting as very different from many places. I was impressed by the presentation for all the entree we all ordered and my entree tasted great. Same for the desert . I highly recommend the place.

31/08/2025: Saturday evening, we tried the restaurant and liked the sea bass fillet and the redfish back, the dishes were generous and good, for dessert the strawberries with white chocolate and a crumble were average, friendly welcome, pleasant restaurant

26/07/2023: Goed restaurant met goede kwantiteit/prijs verhouding. Altijd gezellig waar je altijd weer bekende tegenkomt. Maar helaas voorgoed gesloten sinds maart 2023.

23/08/2024: Great, very good cuisine, for vegetarians specify it when booking, we will offer you a few dishes including the Welsh without meat to preferably reserve. Exquisite fries as well as desserts. We can use Flemish games.

11/04/2024: In Lille over an April weekend to watch Paris Roubaix. Le Pot Beaujolais (situated just off the main square) was our choice for a Friday evening meal. We walked past the restaurant en route to our accommodation and it jumped out at us - it looks like the sort of restaurant you'd find in rural France, rather than in the middle of a city. Having just arrived in the town, we had no reservation but the very friendly staff found us a table. Dishes are traditional French (steaks, andouillette, stew). I planned to order the Pot au feu but it wasn't available so settled on a delicious Pike quenelle in leek fondue. The charcuterie/cheese board we shared as a starter was also good, as was the apple pie for dessert. It's very easy in Lille to find a chain restaurant or modern bistro, particularly in the centre of town. It's probably harder to find a 'little gem' - Le Pot Beaujolais is definitely the latter.
