18/04/2026: Bland, tasteless food...the calf's liver at €11.90 was inedible, a liver with veins??????, shoestring fries cooked in water, broccoli and green beans tasted like water...the service: a young guy from our time, unhappy to be working, same for the cook...the blonde ice cream lady raises the bar. The manager is in charge of aesthetics; I suggest he actually taste the food, judging by the reviews.
09/04/2026: A 25-minute wait for one chicken fillet with Maroilles cheese, even though it wasn't crowded... What a lack of foresight and professionalism!

23/03/2026: Avoid this Lille branch and go to independent local business for better food and customer services even when it was not busy.
23/03/2026: My sister and I went to Le Pain Quotidien for an afternoon snack. We had to wait over 30 minutes standing up before being seated—well, it was busy. However, once we were seated, we waited another 40 minutes without even being served, without a single server coming to see us, even though I made sure to get their attention.
After those 40 minutes of waiting, we decided to leave. I used to really like this place when it also had a location in Rihour, but these days the service is abysmal. It's become a tourist trap, solely focused on making money, with absolutely no customer service and the food is of extremely poor quality, and this has been going on for a while now without anything being done about it.

10/04/2026: RUN AWAY, YOU FOOLS!
We were a table of six and asked to be seated for a drink. We were told 30 minutes, no more, without even a greeting.
Then the waiter gave us the menu. Two out of the six of us ordered water, while the rest ordered a beer. The waiter told us that if the other two people only ordered water, we had to leave the terrace because "that's the rule."
We asked him if, even if our table ordered drinks, the two people who only had water still had to leave the terrace, and he said yes.
This is a hard sell. The staff is disrespectful and dismissive, and they pressured us to leave.
It's a shame we can't give zero stars.
07/04/2026: Zero friendliness, no sense of customer service whatsoever. I'm not asking for big smiles, but at least a little kindness, especially when you pay 4 euros for a Coke. Customer service needs improvement!

25/09/2024: We visited on our way back to the UK, one of the joys of France is going to their supermarkets as they are incredible compared to the UK, and this Auchan didn't disappoint!
It is huge, with a garden centre as well, and a large home department, but as always it was the food section that really wowed us.
A huge fresh food selection, and the butchery/deli area has an incredible range of meats including offal and lesser known cuts - onglet, bavette etc for sale which is incredibly hard to find in the UK. There is also an actual butcher out the back which you can see behind the glass where they make their own sausages and other meat products like the marinated items.
And you can't talk about a French supermarket without mentioning the bread and patisserie - wonderful selection and the eclairs we bought were delicious.
We also received great service - there was an Auchan staff member who heard us talking in English about a beer we couldn't find, and he stepped in to ask if he could help and he helped us find what we were looking for! Great service.
Definitely one of the better Auchan's around, and if you're on your way back to the UK, definitely worth making a stop here!
21/09/2024: 12/24/2020: Although this Auchan hypermarket is not new, it is huge, well stocked and offers rather reasonable prices. It's the first time I've been here and I'm not disappointed. Despite the crowds, the checkout was quick. The staff remains pleasant, available and resists the pressure of this New Year's Eve. Well done !
Now that I live in Dunkirk, Auchan is my go-to supermarket. I do 80% of my shopping there.

04/09/2024: Customer for over 30 years, the difference is very clear. Less choice at the entrance buffet. Prices go up, quality goes down. Fewer people. Ask yourself the right questions.

09/06/2024: Ce petit resto est dans une petite rue très sympa et avec beaucoup d'autres resto typique de Lille, proches de tous les commerces et du centre ville . Accueil au top, déco très bien et service rapide. Plats typiques du nord et de qualités et que nous avons découverts avec plaisir avec nos amis. A recommander.

03/09/2024: It's a very "useful" store because they have a lot of choice, however I feel like I'm in the parapharmacy of a garden center, a lot of coatings for not much, except buying more. As for the price, you have to be aware that this is the garden center of the elite. No good deals on that front, but the place might be nice. There's a rooster hanging out in the parking lot, it's my favorite.

30/07/2024: This is the Aussie pub in vieux lille every local ( younger locals ) hang out for apéro. Apérols are on happy hour and everything works well except the toilets are super filthy and that too when it’s not a Saturday late night. More hygiene would be appreciated. The bartenders can choose to ignore you so go to order at the bar

05/12/2024: Arrivés par hasard dans ce restaurant un samedi midi nous avons vraiment très apprécié la cuisine et le service.
Nous avons commencé par une planche de foie gras à partager composée de deux généreuses tranches de foie gras et d’un peu de salade. En plat nous avons pris un carpaccio et un tigre qui pleure. Ce dernier porte bien son nom car la sauce est vraiment très piquante et amène une petite larme à l’œil. Ce n’est pas un plat que tout le monde pourra apprécier sauf à aimer la cuisine épicée, ce qui est mon cas et je me suis régalé.
15/11/2024: Après avoir passé une après midi à la foire du vin à Lille, il était grand temps de se restaurer. Au détour de quelques rues, nous sommes tombés par hasard sur ce restaurant. Or, quelle agréable surprise ! La patronne fut très sympathique, la nourriture très bonne et servie rapidement. Tout cela à un prix abordable ! Que demander de plus? Je recommande vivement
