12/08/2024: Very disappointed with the sandwiches: soft bread, barely cooked, very little filling, too little to feel like you're not making fun of the customer. Salad leaves all wilted, blackened and a mistake in the order when there was no crowd. Positive point: clean place, easy parking

18/12/2023: Cet hôtel ne mérite pas 4 étoiles (ni sur sa façade ni dans ces avis). Les équipements ont vieilli, le petit-dej est très basique, et surtout ils se permettent de mener de grands travaux pendant la présence des clients et ce dès le matin. C'est un défaut de professionnalisme et de respect inadmissible pour un hôtel qui se prétend de cette gamme. L'hôtel est en transition entre Crowne et Hilton, soit, mais alors il faut le fermer le temps des travaux et assumer le manque à gagner. Je n'y retournerai pas, quelle que soit la chaîne dont il fait partie.

16/12/2023: Assez déçue de cet hôtel testé pour une nuit lors d'un déplacement professionnel... Les + : localisation proche des gares / la literie / le petit déjeuner. Les - : chambres vieillottes et vétustes qui méritent un bon rafraîchissement (surtout la salle de bain). Si j'ai bien compris, l'hôtel a été racheté et devrait être rénové... ce qui est nécessaire !

04/12/2025: Discovered Les Deux Cocottes at the Christmas market. What can I say… a frosty atmosphere, an unpleasant waitress. €11 for a measly tray of sliced ​​potatoes and a Mont d'Or sauce. This so-called sauce was nothing more than cheap cream; the dish had no flavor whatsoever, and the only hint of cheese I tasted was just two tiny pieces of rind.

03/09/2024: Friendly place with good hot drinks as a bonus, at very reasonable prices. What more could you ask for for a real moment of relaxation. The terrace is sunny and offers a beautiful view of the Belfry and the town hall. And it was on this same terrace that one of the scenes from the film “Bienvenue chez les ch’tis” was filmed. Dany Boon and Gad Merad's famous bike stunt.

08/09/2024: I ordered the boss's hamburger, it was rather bland and chicken which is not indicated, some fries over 2cm long, I was disappointed compared to a previous visit with the pirate's hamburger which disappeared of the map.

22/08/2024: Très déçue de l’hamburger chti maroilles !! Il l’avait un drôle de goût ( surtout le steak haché ) La dame me l’a refait sans problème et je n’ai pas réussi à le manger toujours à cause de ce drôle de goût ( je précise que c’est la 1ere fois que ça m’arrive) Par contre sincèrement au prix du produit, il n’y a pas grand chose dedans (un mini bout, de tomate, 3 feuilles de salades, la tranche de bacon diminue de moitié heureusement l’œuf sauf les meubles, le maroille c’est à peine si je l’ai senti, le pain froid … très peu croustillant ) Je l’ai donc rendue et la j’ai précisé mon mécontentement en restant respectueuse, l’une d’entre elle l’a très mal pris. Et s’est permise de souffler et de me faire comprendre que j’exagèrerai ! Honnêtement le prix payer pour ne rien manger c’est plus que limite ! Elles ne sont pas commerçante du tout !!! ( sauf une qui n’a jamais rien dit ) Dommage que je n’ai pas pris une photo.

25/12/2023: Délicieux waterzooi au poisson 🤪👌 Tout petit bémol, le pain, baguette blanche plus qu'ordinaire, aurait mérité d'être un peu plus gourmand.

23/12/2023: Nous avons découvert le restaurant accessible sans être client de l'hôtel. Le waterzooi de poisson qui donne son nom à l'établissement est raffiné et copieux (moules, saumon poisson blanc et crevettes). Décor chaleureux. Service professionnel et souriant Point d'amélioration : le pain, il existe certainement de très bonnes boulangeries à Dunkerque.

28/12/2025: We had a wonderful evening here at this fantastic restaurant. The food is deffinitely Michelin quality for a very reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and informative about the dishes which were beautifully presented and tasted exceptional. We hope to return soon.

25/11/2025: I had an incredible time eating here. The husband and wife team who run this restaurant are amazing in their hospitality. This is a review regarding their cooking course lunch experience. It’s an entire morning and afternoon with the chef. We started around 9 am and finished at 3 pm. We were in a private kitchen with the chef and he taught us how to cook an entire 3 course meal together and we ended up eating what we had prepared with him at the very end. The meal is with the chef and his wife and you get to enjoy a lovely lunch with them and have the chance to hear more about their life and their philosophy of cooking. It was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested. You won’t regret it!

28/08/2024: The setting is nice, the food is basic but ok although I found the chicken I ordered a little dry. A goat's cheese tiramisu which is in reality a simple mousse and a mocha ordered to end up with an espresso, it would have been better to tell us that you don't make mocha. Personally I won't go back there.
