25/05/2026: Clean rooms. A lot of on site activities: billiard, swimming pool, tennis. Welcoming service. And just a brilliant location!! It’s much better to stay in a calm small town with a forest facing the ocean, than going to crowded touristic cities like Le Touquet. I have no idea why the hotel is attributed only 3 stars, it definitely has to do with a formal grading system rather the real experience of living in this hotel Highly recommend!

05/05/2026: My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times. Our children even gave us a gift voucher last year. Since then, I have had a serious illness, and my wife has passed away from a rapidly progressing cancer. It is impossible to use the gift voucher before the expiry date: May 3, 2026. During several phone calls, management was informed. I also sent them several emails with supporting documentation requesting a simple postponement of the dates. I received no response, even though it was simply a matter of postponing the stay without any financial loss for the hotel. What contempt! Today, due to the hotel management's lack of humanity and business sense, the gift voucher is no longer valid, so I am giving only one star (I cannot give less).

16/08/2026: I think the bill is steep; you have to pay for the bread, actually. If you order a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert, it ends up being very expensive.

08/08/2026: We waited 35 minutes for the menu, even though there were three servers and only four tables to manage. We ordered a bottle of wine and were brought a glass. We informed the waitress that it was a bottle, not a glass, and she brought the bottle 10 minutes later. The food was visually disastrous, the presentation completely unappetizing. A friend ordered burger sauce and was brought barbecue sauce. I asked for Gruyère cheese for my pasta and didn't get any. I asked the waitress if it was possible to get pasta, and she replied, "I don't know." Unprofessional.

08/03/2026: Hello, (I don't usually like leaving reviews because afterwards, when I arrive at a place where the welcome is as warm as this one, it's impossible to find a table to eat properly.) This brasserie is fantastic, no complaints whatsoever. The welcome was top-notch, and the staff—bartenders and waiters—were all excellent. The food was superb; the entire menu was very good. The chef is absolutely amazing! You can go there without hesitation. 👍👍👍👍

13/09/2026: Very good food, beautifully presented and generous portions. An enormous skate wing, a perfectly spiced, medium-rare tartare, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Excellent value for money.

22/07/2026: My friend and i stopped for lunch today 22 July and asked about the menu but the lady that came to take our order wasnt really interested in helping us with the menu but we ordered and chose quenelles in a prawn sauce salad and chips for my friend and leeks and chips for me. And we ordered a Coca-Cola and a Perrier, these came promptly and we both thought desert was included as on the same board as the main meal. So our food was put in-front of us and i went to use the salt but practically empty and i asked for more and the lady emptied what was left on my chips then went and got another salt celler. Then there wasnt any cutlery so she went and got some but this was the most bland unappetising meal we have ever eaten and the salade was just lettuce nothing like the photo with the carbonnade I found the drinks were expensive as only a small bottle of coca cola and a can of perrier!! Also dessert wasnt included and at 13.90 for each main course and 5.90 for drinks I would prefer to go to a restaurant and pay a bit extra like the Garenne in Huby st Leu where a three course meal lunchtime costs around 20€ and the staff are willing and happy to serve and help with the menu. Being english I've never been offered quenelles so had no idea that it was fish but this didnt seem to be anything like the description in google!! The owner was on holiday as I would have told her how disappointed we were but we shall never go there again as no nice atmosphere certainly not busy and a waste of our hard earned cash! As there was no service we didnt leave a tip

04/07/2026: I understand that businesses need to make a profit, but when you order a Mexican panini and replace the chorizo ​​(due to an allergy) with merguez sausage, they charge you an extra €3.50. Honestly, I've never seen anything like it. And when you point it out, they tell you, "That's just how it is, it's an extra charge, and you choose to change it." I simply substituted one of the ingredients, and yes, I chose my allergy, and at that price, they really need to improve the quality of the merguez. Be careful with your wallet if you change the filling. A panini at €13.50? You might as well go eat at Buffalo Grill right next door.

18/06/2026: Another superb experience, never disappointed. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. The staff, both in the kitchen and at the counter, are friendly. I highly recommend it.

05/09/2026: Passing through Calais today. We ordered three drinks: none of them were cold. So I asked for ice for my diabolo, but the soda inevitably lost its fizz. My daughter's iced tea arrived directly in the glass, with a different taste, most likely from a large bottle and not an individual glass bottle. The food order: — Mussels marinière: OK. — Pasta carbonara: OK. My order arrived: rump steak, cooked medium, no salad. The dish arrived rare and with salad on the plate. So I sent my plate back. The meat was cooked again, which is strictly forbidden for hygiene reasons, given that the pepper sauce had already been poured over it, and the fries were fried a second time. The dish no longer appealed to me at all, but at almost 3 p.m., it was impossible for me to leave. The fries were as dry as peanuts, and the pepper sauce had completely lost its flavor. The waiter asked me if everything was alright. I told him no, pointing out the lukewarm drinks and the undercooked dish. He seemed disappointed but didn't offer any compensation. When the bill came, he apologized, explaining that there was only one person in the kitchen after 2 p.m. That's clearly not my problem: the service has to be top-notch, otherwise you shouldn't offer continuous service. I'll be going back to L'Ardoise—which was unfortunately closed that day—and I'm even thinking of filing a complaint on SignalConso. TripAdvisor maps Avoid at all costs.

27/06/2026: The bar is nice in the evening, however, I paid for a drink I never received. The waiter told me I didn't want to pay, even though the payment went through to my account. If you want to be ripped off like that, go somewhere else. Apart from that, the atmosphere in the evening is good…
