14/02/2026: Kitchen Nightmares!! When we entered this restaurant, we asked for a table for two, if possible in a corner (as the dining room is extremely small and the tables are very close together). Our request was refused by the waitress, who replied in a nonchalant tone.
As a result, we had to constantly move aside to let her pass from one table to another. The tablecloths were a sorry sight. We can't judge the quality of the food since we were only there for 15 minutes; we decided to leave when we heard the table next to us, which had been there for 30 minutes and still hadn't received a drink. This prompted the gentleman to go and get a glass of tap water himself from the restroom. This restaurant should get a visit from Philippe Etchebest to turn things around. We then ended up at Papy Henry's (across the street) where we enjoyed a delicious burger with excellent service and a warm welcome.
11/01/2026: We ate the most awful Welsh rarebit, even though the welcome was friendly.

26/10/2025: A reservation in August for the weekend of 10/31/25 to 11/2/25 for my husband's birthday and this Thursday the hotel calls us to cancel our reservation due to a boiler problem. I ask him if he has an alternative solution because it is a school holiday weekend and a football match so the surrounding hotel is full, he tells me no! I find myself without a solution a week before our departure the only response I got from them is be glad I let you know. I will never come to your hotel!!!
26/10/2025: I do not recommend this hotel at all.
We stayed there last night (October 25-26).
No heating, no hot water, and a dismal breakfast. We had a memorable night 😡
No apologies, no gestures, just a vulgar "I'll take note."
If you're looking for a place to sleep well and take a shower, you're in the wrong place; move on.

02/05/2024: I showed up today, May 2, at the garden center checkout at 5:30 p.m., this Auchan Calais is becoming a real nonsense...... Already the last time I was invited to go to the quick checkout yuck, intervention by the cashiers result double manipulation at 1 p.m., I am told yes but at that time (there is a reboot) 3/4 hours blocked. today the cashier had to prepare a floral arrangement, Ditto..... A queue not possible , customers who ask for a cashier, and people who get angry, and they leave their Cady an impossible tension. I am surprised to see Auchan behave like this. Very sincerely I will think about changing direction regarding this Auchan Calais, anyway today 30 minutes with kilos on my arms (yes I had not planned to buy that much)

31/08/2024: Extrêmement bruyant dans une salle non climatisée ..nous avions commander de la viande saignante , nous avons été servi (au bout de 30 minutes je précise !) de la viande immangeable car trop cuite 🤮 de la semelle de chaussure ....! Dans la salle il y avait du sable, laisse a penser qu'elle était a peine laver .....beurk horrible je ne recommande vraiment pas ce restaurant de chaîne et je n'y retournerai jamais

Steack du menu enfant douteux a mon avis périmé, heureusement ma fille n'a pas aimé et ne l'a pas mangé.
Quand a moi, intoxication alimentaire avec le burger bacon ( même genre de steack que dans le menu enfant)
Alors Flunch, je ne venais déjà jamais mais maintenant je vous dit adieu !
28/12/2023: Nous sommes allez au service du soir , 15 min pour être servi en viande , préfère rigoler entre collègues que de aider les collègues, et le bouquet final on vous ramène un gâteau d'anniversaire ou glace!! Compliqué à faire la différence c'était gelé malgré notre connaissance de la chaîne flunch qu'ont mange du surgelé, l'effort n'a pas était fait , y être aller a 2 reprises pour faire la remarque pour le gâteau qui était gelé, on vous annonce qu'il ce sont tromper on vous redonne le même après être passé au micro-ondes mais toujours gelé à l'intérieur, après nous l'avons rendu à la responsable aucune excuse ou geste pour celui ci , très dommage et très déçu, mon garçon n'a pas eu son gâteau d'anniversaire
Très malheureux d'être arriver dans un monde pareil

14/12/2025: Been here several times, last time a couple of days ago. Super friendly service. No matter how late I check-in to this hotel, I am greeted with a smile and check-in is done within a minute. Nice rooms, decently sized. Very nice breakfast with the same friendly service. Ample parking space which also boasts several 150kW & 300kW chargers for EVs. Minutes away for the Eurotunnel terminal. Warmly recommend this hotel.

02/08/2024: What a disappointment… meal last night. Happy to be together as a family around - we hoped - an exceptional meal. This is the memory we had about 4 years ago. Well, we left with the intention of never coming back. Gloomy reception. Very very poor service - amateur and poor quality. Flavorless meal. Tomato starter? Nothing exceptional in terms of taste and preparation. For example, the duck breast was not pink as advertised and difficult to cut and tasteless. Dessert puffs? Too sweet, mushy. Without interest. No carafe of water on the table why? Bread sparingly. Icy atmosphere - discreet but well-chosen music to mark summer, right? Best wishes.
19/07/2024: Very disappointed by the telephone response from the receptionist “Candice” when we called to let them know we were 10 minutes late! She also did not inform the restaurant of our call. In addition, we were taken directly to the terrace even though we wanted to have lunch inside…. Brief ! Unprofessional attitude!
Regarding the meal, disappointed by the very rubbery “monkfish” fish and too salty accompaniment.
The famous “CD” cabbages really nothing exceptional! Brief !
Very poor quality/price ratio: €30 for a main course and a dessert!
We preferred when it was before Alice’s garden! It’s changed a lot!

The frites were ok - the steak, the duck, the weird prawn and cheese concoction were all inedible.
BTW. sprinkling sesame seeds over congealed gravy does not elevate a dish. It just makes it look weird.

19/08/2024: Discovery of this very pleasant restaurant where everyone was friendly and welcoming which is not to be neglected these days. The perfect kitchen, we recommend 200%
