02/09/2026: Pleasant atmosphere, good food and reasonable prices!!!

22/08/2026: I was with a friend; the restaurant was empty, with only one table occupied. We took a table in the corner, near the wall. He moved the table away from the wall a little to be more comfortable (he's tall and needs space). The owner came in, didn't say hello, just said, "Oh no, that won't work," and pushed the table against the wall. A few minutes later, no one had taken our order, so she moved the table away from the wall a few centimeters again. She came back and did it again. We explained that we weren't comfortable, and she replied that we needed to leave some space between the table and the one next to it. This table was unoccupied, the restaurant was empty, and the closing time for customers was five minutes later. We told her that if someone came, they would move the table, and that there was plenty of space anyway. She refused and told us that if we weren't happy, we could leave... great customer service. I'll never go back there.

23/08/2026: Great food, friendly staff at a reasonable price. Used this place to kill of a couple of hours before boarding the ferry back to Blighty. This place is perfect for this!!

17/08/2026: Unfortunately, we weren't able to try anything because we were turned away before we were even seated by an unfriendly waitress who was a pathological liar and probably had racist tendencies. She claimed that all the tables were reserved, when at most three tables had that designation, using the excuse of a reservation for a group of maybe ten people. We came back two minutes later, and two "reserved" tables had been given to people who were clearly not together. I hope this waitress doesn't reflect the mentality of this restaurant, because turning away tourists, I think because of their origin or simply because of their appearance, shouldn't exist anymore, even in a remote place like Berck.

11/08/2026: The welcome and service were impeccable, and the homemade food was excellent. Our mussels with Roquefort cheese and homemade fries were delicious. All washed down with the superb local beer (La Baston) – a true paradise for the taste buds!

03/11/2025: I'm leaving this review because it's not the first time this has happened. When I go to drop off several games, maybe 15 or 20, the guy serving us breathes in my face and says he doesn't want to, and when he scans them he says it's a pain in the ass right in front of me, completely showing he doesn't want to do his job. You need to review your staff because this is the second time this has happened and I won't be back.

27/06/2026: A disastrous experience. A checkout lane was open this Saturday at lunchtime due to staff shortages (according to the cashier). What is management doing about it?

17/06/2026: The cook who was at the grill on June 17th around 6:30 pm was super nice, I commend him. Thank you for the burger sauce and pepper. Congratulations!

28/08/2026: I'm not giving it zero stars because we're still waiting to be served a drink in the middle of the afternoon. The servers walk right past us, attending to other customers, but we're clearly not interested. I don't know, the waiter was terrible. The staff would rather have a good time with their friends near their barrels than take care of the customers. Shameful.

25/05/2026: We were given a very warm welcome. We hadn't booked, but they found us a place for six despite it being busy. The food was excellent, and the place was exactly what we love: friendly, family-oriented, and just like home ❤️

24/05/2026: The wait was far too long; I got the impression the staff were lost. The cooking times weren't respected, and some of the servers were far from friendly. Even paying for these disastrous meals was a chore.

23/03/2026: It was disappointing to learn that the restaurant is closed on Monday evenings when it's listed as open on Google… so we made the trip for nothing, having received no response to my numerous calls…

14/03/2026: I had booked for 9pm today and to my great surprise... the door was closed. Thank you for letting me know.

24/08/2026: Excellent as always, the mussels were a little lukewarm, but oh well...it happens once in a while. Nevertheless, the staff were very warm and friendly.

17/08/2026: Staff shortages; long waits to be served, and a completely outdated and empty vegetable buffet! If you're not understaffed, then it's even worse! The woman was alone to manage the fries, the prepared dishes, the patties… I waited over 40 minutes for my tuna steak. I left without eating because I had to go back to work…

18/08/2026: There is a brand new saleswoman, a pretty brunette and frankly what a pleasure to come and be greeted by such a lovely smile, a great takeover for this institution taken over by Sébastien, he knows very well how to choose his saleswomen.

07/09/2026: The young waiters were very friendly despite the place being busy. A very warm welcome, and the food was excellent and reasonably priced ❤️

06/09/2026: Received a cold plate of mussels and fries. I do not recommend it. Avoid at all costs!

22/08/2026: Eating in a cellar is quite unusual. The setting is really charming and original, full of eccentric touches (a school notebook as a menu, bras...). The dishes are typical of Flanders and very good. Definitely worth discovering.

12/07/2026: RUN AWAY!!! A disastrous meal… A closed terrace, despite being advertised as "full," a deplorable welcome, and staff interfering in our conversations… truly unbelievable. We have never experienced anything like it. Everything needs to be reviewed… both the service and the taste of the food. The photos on the website do NOT AT ALL reflect what we experienced that day. A dessert described as "a failure," but still charged €8. Absolutely no sense of customer service.

08/06/2026: What a wonderful welcome! Warm and friendly... I highly recommend this 2-star hotel and restaurant, which is worth 4 stars. The location is ideal, just steps from the sea and the town center. You sleep very well and the food is excellent. The owners—father, mother, and son—are incredibly kind. It feels like being with family! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
