11/11/2025: A lovely, traditional inn. The interior is very cozy (the fireplace was lit, which was very pleasant). The dishes are tasty and quite generous. Don't hesitate to book if you're in the area; you won't be disappointed.

26/09/2025: We came for my mother's 80th birthday. I had organized everything, the accommodation, the walks... she had never visited Auvergne. We come from Switzerland. She loved it... but especially the meal at your place... It was a mixture of refinement, creativity and tenderness. The love of taste... and the taste of others. I will never forget the strawberry tagada reinterpreted by you and your team. Everything was bold, delicious, especially the 1000 tomatoes on a plate, but there was the particularly moving wink. Thank you! I hope you will read this message and your team too. I know you will close. But something else will be born and I reserve my table...

19/12/2024: Small establishment in size and big for the succulent cuisine of the talented and friendly Chef Julien Chabert! Both at lunchtime and in the evening, we enjoy ourselves in this restaurant and the service is efficient, friendly and pleasant. Obviously, it is advisable to reserve because the capacity is not large. I recommend this establishment without the slightest restraint as the flavors are there! 16/09/2024: Nous avons mangé à la carte, tout était parfait en liquide comme en solide, le service sans reproche, le cadre agréable. Je ne sais pas à côté de quoi, et ce bistrot, mais certaine ment pas à côté de la qualité.

01/12/2024: I went to dinner at this restaurant today. But the lady was very rude, saying that there was no place. I just wanted to go to dinner with friends who were already there, at first she didn't let me go to the salon and call them so they could explain if they had made a reservation and in what name. And very rude, speaking loudly. I don't see why they treat people this way... just imagine having to pay for a service to be mistreated. I didn't feel well, so I left. See you never again.

20/09/2024: Nice little restaurant in the center of Besse. Located on a square with a pretty fountain in front, the terrace will offer you an atmosphere of calm and well-being. If the weather is not good, the interior is just as warm. You will be welcomed by competent and pleasant staff, you will eat very well, the dishes are good, beautiful and generous. Finally, all this for a more than reasonable price. In short, my friends and I have been going there many times for motorcycle outings and we will continue to enjoy this establishment which deserves to be known. Thanks to them ✌🏻

08/07/2025: [I gave "Atmosphere" 3 stars because I don't really understand what that criterion is...] Four people at lunchtime (reservation) The welcome was friendly, the waitress and the owner were cheerful. We ate in the back courtyard, a pleasant spot that overlooked the square. It was very quiet and shaded thanks to the umbrellas. We ate à la carte, with starter, main course, and dessert, and it was unanimously appreciated; everything was perfect. The beef carpaccio was simply excellent, and it should be noted that the sauce served with it complemented it deliciously without, as is too often the case, masking the flavors of the food. The mixed salads were also appreciated, as the sauce was a subtle accompaniment without overpowering the food. The dishes were also appreciated for their aromatic and subtly seasoned taste. The trout steak has an unusual topping, a delight. The lamb was also a hit, and the beef steak was cooked as desired. The desserts also made us smile :) An important thing for me was that the quantities were just right. Regarding the price, I've read in some reviews that it's high. If you pay €12 for a bland 100g steak with defrosted, barely cooked fries, you won't have paid much, certainly, but you'll have been ripped off. :). It's the value for money that should be considered, not the amount alone, and in that case, it's fair to say it's reasonable. The chef delighted us.

11/07/2025: How can I put it? A pleasant, casual place with a lack of knowledge about wine service. They offer ice cubes with the rosé wine to cool it down... Hmm, otherwise, a very good atmosphere.

Homemade fries cooked like in the north. 🤤 The chef has a great playlist. 🎺 Great welcome and friendly atmosphere. Children are welcome and pampered. We had a wonderful evening with the family, and our stomachs were delighted.
