Classy, but unpretentious, exquisite, refined, and beautifully presented cuisine, a fine wine selection, discreet yet warm service, a very pleasant dining room, and excellent acoustics. A truly wonderful experience.
We'll definitely be back... probably when the weather's nice to try out the terrace!
05/11/2025: Found this restaurant by taking a detour down a side street. A lovely little hidden gem. Exceptional cuisine. Honestly, for €25 more than fast-food chains, it's a no-brainer! Impeccable service, with a warm welcome and equal consideration for everyone.
I highly recommend it. Thank you for such a delicious meal at such reasonable prices. Well done!

08/12/2024: Room from the Middle Ages just look at the photos, a smell of disgust in the room the TV and very small compared to the room it also dates from the Middle Ages, the breakfast and real criticism compared to hotel chains or lodgings in France, the worst is that you have to look for the person who will set you up to make you an Espresso because the machine is not available to the customer, on the 2nd morning I visited the entire bottom of the hotel with my cup to my but because I wanted just another Espresso but no one was the waitress outside with 2 workers smoking cigarettes.
Otherwise the staff is very polite.
I haven't tried the restaurant.

Always a very warm welcome, impeccable service, very competitive prices for the quality/quantity, and the extra truffade dish for €4.50 was a steal! My new go-to spot for visits to my parents' house ;) Looking forward to it!

20/01/2025: Restaurant in the heart of the mountain. The location is great, as is the atmosphere inside the restaurant.
The truffade is very good, however the quantity of cold meats is quite low.
I recommend!

29/08/2024: Choisi pour une étape au centre de la France cet établissement présentait l’avantage d’offrir des chambres outre un restaurant dit gastronomique.
Nous n’avons pas été déçus , loin de là , l’accueil , l’amabilité , et le professionnalisme de ce couple ( madame à la réception , monsieur aux fourneaux) sont à souligner tant ces vertus deviennent rares .
Chambre tout à fait agréables et bien équipées .
Table remarquable . Le menu dégustation a 99€ est superbe . Les saveurs , les produits locaux, la présentation sont absolument magnifiques. Une mention particulière pour le homard aux girolles et le cœur de ris de veau aux morilles , exquis !
Le petit déjeuner est savoureux et copieux !
Bref , un établissement à recommander !
28/08/2024: Crossing France from west to east, the stopover at Belle Meunière was a very pleasant discovery. The welcome first of all by the owner was warm and attentive. The establishment offers 4 rooms on different themes throughout the comfort, spacious bedding, very well equipped bathroom,.
The restaurant with its art nouveau decor opens onto a tumultuous torrent.
A magnificent meal (6-course tasting menu in addition to appetizers) was prepared for us by Chef Jury and served pleasantly.
An excellent moment for the taste buds with the highlight of the lobster with chanterelles on pea coulis, delicious, and an extraordinary heart of sweetbreads with local morels!
The price offered for this magnificent meal is very reasonable!
The morning breakfast was royal, the chef's pastries and pastries are a real treat!
In summary, kindness, professionalism and superb flavors made this stage an exceptional moment!

17/01/2025: a magnificent castle with an ambitious renovation with a relaxed, luxurious and refined style in detail. Attentive and WELCOMING staff. A little gem where you can spend time to make your trip unforgettable.
Each room is different, lined in silk, with canopy beds, frescoes and secret passages.
The breakfasts are full of delicious local products.
13/01/2025: Very pleasant stay in this magnificent castle of Codignat. Excellent welcome, very attentive staff. Special mention for the bathrooms equipped with jacuzzi.
