11/09/2026: My son and I opted for the bivouac + dinner package. The location is exceptional, and the manager is incredibly attentive and responsive. Dinner was homemade, delicious, and plentiful (for €20, that's quite an achievement!). Not to mention the very complete breakfast (nothing like the defrosted pastries you often find elsewhere). And what can I say about the luxurious packed lunch, in which the "chef-manager" even thought to add a lemon to dress the salad! In short, absolutely perfect!!

23/08/2026: Passing by on Sunday, August 23rd, I saw a pork rib on the menu. It was beautifully presented on a bed of mashed potatoes, accompanied by carrots, zucchini, olives, and cherry tomatoes. A welcome change from fries! The staff provided excellent service. The dish cost €23. In conclusion, I highly recommend this establishment.

08/08/2026: We had lunch yesterday, just the two of us. It's my third time here, and it's always fantastic! The anticipation of arriving at the menu and discovering what the chef has in store (just one or two options, and it's perfect) is palpable. The dishes are incredibly exciting. You hesitate because everything looks so tempting. Then, as always, you're delighted by the flavors, textures, and freshness of the seasonal ingredients! The terrace, surrounded by the beautiful houses of Montferrand's town center, adds a charming village atmosphere that we love. All this at a very reasonable price, the kind you rarely (if ever?) find in the center of Clermont. I can't wait to come back! :)

14/09/2026: With each visit to L’Impulsif, I notice a genuine evolution. The amuse-bouches become more surprising, and the cuisine is gradually asserting its identity. Serving the signature dish right from the start is a risky move: it immediately sets the bar very high, but the sake pairing perfectly complements this opening course. The lobster, delicately spiced, offers a beautiful balance. The monkfish then awakens the taste buds with plenty of character and a delightful boldness. The sweetbreads with plum are also very successful, even if they still lack that little something extra to fully evoke the expected emotion. The pairing of cheese and port is exceptional and constitutes one of the highlights of the meal. The dessert perfectly concludes the experience, extended with a touch of indulgence by a ratafia. L’Impulsif is a restaurant that progresses, experiments, and takes more risks with each visit. This evolution genuinely makes me want to return.

22/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at La Table de Thierry! The atmosphere is friendly and almost familial; you can take your time and savor beautiful dishes made with quality ingredients. It's so close to home, we'll be back soon, and we'll bring our friends.

20/08/2026: A small restaurant on a quiet street, but close to the cathedral. A short menu that inspired confidence! And we weren't disappointed! Thierry runs the kitchen and the front of house single-handedly, yet he still took the time to chat with us. The galettes are crispy (just like in Brittany) and they use high-quality local products (nitrite-free Auvergne cooked ham, Breton andouille sausage). We highly recommend this restaurant!

25/05/2026: We stumbled upon this place during our vacation; it's a shop selling local products, and they also have a restaurant and a terrace. We bought some cheese from the shop, as well as a few other local products, including charcuterie—everything was delicious. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but we sat on the terrace and enjoyed some amazing homemade ice cream! Go there without hesitation; the owners are also very welcoming.

23/05/2026: It's impossible to go to a spa without stopping by the Cellier Muratoire boutique – a sensational shop with a very friendly and accommodating owner. Don't forget to stop by her place!

16/07/2026: A lovely little inn that makes you want to come back. The welcome was fantastic! The waitresses were excellent, even though I think for some of them it was their first time. Well done! 👏 The meal was very generous and delicious; the truffade was a delight. There were eight of us at our table, each with a different meal, and everyone found it very good and very generous. We certainly didn't leave hungry. Thank you to the whole team, and I hope to return to your area.
