26/07/2026: Last night we had dinner at this restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. The menu features fresh, homemade products. The portions are generous and the dishes are delicious. The duck breast with foie gras was a real treat for me! We will gladly return.

The burger selection is varied, and we thoroughly enjoyed the ones we ordered. The fries are also really good.
Our son loved his kids' meal.
Plus, the chef is really very friendly!

09/08/2026: We received poor service when we came for a coffee late in the morning. We had to vacate the table by noon sharp for service, which is understandable, but it was announced rudely, and to top it off, no one came to take our order!
The coffee tasted burnt.
We won't be returning to this place despite its idyllic location by the lake with a stunning view. It's a shame.

19/08/2026: Our second stay at Laurent and Valérie's was just as enjoyable. The welcome was warm and the rooms were very clean and spacious. We loved Valérie's cooking and the generous breakfasts. A place we highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
16/08/2026: A hotel along the road leading to Cinque di Gavernie, with just a few recently renovated rooms, each unique in style and capacity. Attention to detail and cleanliness are the rooms' strong points. Dinner and breakfast are a real plus... The owner is an excellent cook and uses only local ingredients... The dishes are exquisite, and the company of the family who runs the hotel is fantastic. You don't stay in a hotel, you stay in a family.

The dish wasn't even listed as the daily special, so it was significantly more expensive, more than double the price. The quality was okay, but the portion size was ridiculously overpriced. And the ice cream sundae for dessert was just two measly scoops...

25/07/2026: We recently had lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed and unpretentious, the staff attentive, and the food simple yet good. I chose a Spanish platter of grilled lomo and ventreche (cured pork belly) with a fried egg, fries, and a mixed salad – very tasty and very generous. My wife chose the daily special, which was also very good and generous. All this at a very competitive price, around fifteen euros per person.

Where is the soul of Coucaril...the soul of the mother who welcomed us for years with her kindness and smile...lost...we were turned away by a fire-breathing, heartless man...while tables were empty, claiming that at 9 pm she only serves savory food. We can still read the message on the door that said: sweets at 9 pm...poor Coucaril...how sad...so little courtesy.
29/07/2026: We didn't even have time to eat because the owner's smile and friendly tone quickly drove us away. Frankly unpleasant.
