15/03/2026: Great stay at the Montaigu. Only downside: the doors slammed a lot, even at night, which woke us up several times. Great view from the window and very good breakfast. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. A special mention for the bathroom, which was very nice! In short, we highly recommend it! ⭐

09/12/2025: A nice little restaurant... Honest food for the price, unpretentious, simple but good. Not all ingredients are fresh, which is a bit of a shame, but for the price, it's understandable… (although homemade fries and mayonnaise aren't much more expensive than frozen ones…). The service and welcome were impeccable and very warm. The dining room decor could perhaps use a little more warmth, although the fireplace was lit, which is a real plus, but it's really a minor detail. Hygiene was impeccable. And as a bonus, it was open on a Sunday (which is becoming rare!). If you're looking for a good little bistro, simple and affordable, this is the place.

28/10/2025: Lunch on the terrace this October 28th. I thoroughly enjoyed two fillets of Pyrenees trout served with fluffy rice and small vegetables. Thank you to the chef!

03/10/2025: We wanted to have an aperitif there in the evening. The restaurant was supposedly full despite the empty tables. I can understand, but we had a drink and ate pizza across the street and an hour later, the tables were still empty!

24/04/2026: Upon our arrival at 11:08 PM, the waitress told us we couldn't go bowling because it closed at midnight; apparently, it wasn't possible to play a game in 52 minutes. The waitress was incredibly rude, condescending, and then left without any explanation, without saying goodbye or anything, before going back to chat with some friends at the bar. A very bad experience. Completely unprofessional.

08/05/2026: An excellent crêperie, both for the quality of the crêpes and the warm welcome and service. Every time we come to Cauterets, we make sure to stop there! We've never been disappointed, and that's been the case for years!

20/04/2026: The food was okay, but The manager's behavior was completely inappropriate and aggressive, making a scene both inside and on the terrace after a minor comment about the slightly slow service! Slightly slow service is understandable! But this gentleman completely lacks communication with his customers, refuses to admit his mistakes, and sticks to his guns. A simple word would have sufficed. In short, this message wouldn't have been posted if he had shown empathy and good faith. For me, La Forge is finished.

28/04/2026: It was April 1st, and this is no joke! The cuisine was succulent and refined, beautifully presented on elegant tableware, and the dining room was very classy and tastefully decorated. 21/04/2026: Life is full of happy surprises. Chance led us to this discreet hotel, and we left absolutely delighted... And we don't usually give unsolicited praise :) First of all, the owner/chef is very welcoming, offers excellent advice, and is attentive to your comfort. The rooms are very nice (better than an Ibis Styles, for example), but it's the food that truly stands out: the dishes we tried were delicious (Duck à l'Orange, Japanese-style Beef), and the breakfast was homemade! We'll be back as soon as we have the chance. Well done!
